First time this season I'm not excited to watch the game.
It's always possible the Browns will upset, but I think the odds are really, really low.

nassib should help out a lot. i know they gonna be easy on him the first few snaps, but if he's good to go, him and Ogbah might actually wreak havoc at the LoS.

KESSLER ...
What a tough test for the kid !! Who better (worse) than Belichick to devise a scheme to seriously test a Rookie QB? Add to that there is every chance Patriots will score points forcing the Browns into a more aggressive play calling game ....
SO ... I have been quietly but extremely impressed with Kessler so far. Maybe that is because I had some very low expectations especially having watched Wentz light it up.
Is anyone else willing to say that if Kessler performs well today in what is a supreme test for the whole team and especially Kessler ..... maybe, just maybe we might have our QB?? I think most would agree he needs to keep growing and we need to see an ability to throw the deep ball to open up the field ... but ... maybe, just maybe !?

Kessler has been okay, he hasn't been great. I don't know that he can be great. He hasn't even shown flashes of great. I expect a lot of pressure on him today, and this may expose flaws and weaknesses. We'll see.
Overall, I expect our first blowout. If not, that will show me something. If we can stay in this game, if Kessler can lead this team for a full four quarters, maybe that will help show that Hue has us moving in the right direction.

Well so far I have seen from Kessler that he is smart, patient, accurate ... those are hard or impossible to teach attributes. He can develop a big arm if he continues to show the above 3 attributes in the face of growing pressure and tougher opposition. Actually that's another attribute I have seen, he seems to improve. Long may it continue!
I don't know but I feel pretty certain that Brady wasn't lighting it up his first 2 games. He turned out ok. . . no, I am not saying Kessler is Brady. I'm saying that if he continues to do as well as he has done so far, then I think there is hope.

I've seen things I've liked, but they've come mainly early in the games. When pressure gets ratcheted up, those attributes aren't as apparent. As you say, it's early. While I am hopeful, I just don't share your optimism.

but there's still a chance!! About the same chance as getting hit by lightning. This one is ging to be ugly. A ticked off Brady, a ticked off team because they lost last week, and of course Belichick coming back to Cleveland..... I think they could drop 40 on us. The plus side is, this gives our young kids a chance to see a real NFL team up close and personal. They are going to get a lot of chances to learn and improve their craft today!
