Obviously I think the vetting process needs to be better than it is today, more thorough if that's possible. I think most people would want that and there needs to be a bi-partisian plan on how to achieve it (won't happen).
Not really sure what you mean by fear mongering. To me being prepared for the possibility of a terrorist attack or other aggression and trying to actively prevent it is smart. I mean ALL terrorist cells and other government hostility, not just radical muslims. This is what intel and intelligence departments are for, to investigate the threat. I'd rather put processes in place and be safe than leave things wide open.
This is exactly the same way I feel about nuclear weapons. You don't have to use them but I like having the knowledge that we're more prepared in the event something were to happen.

I hadn't heard the Trump was convicted of rape.
I must have missed that. Got a link to conviction? do you have a link that bill was found guilty? no? then shut up. You seem violent tonight. Hope all is well.

Again, there is no perfect process to vetting.
Cops get vetted, but yet bad cops slip through the cracks, don't they.
I got vetted to get a secret clearance.
If I was to do something, there's nothing in my background to suggest I was a risk.
There's a difference between vetting and discriminating.
Trump wants to discrimate. I will never be for that.

The further this election goes, the more certain I am that we're screwed.

Tasty, you brought up something I've wondered about. Is it possible other terrorist groups slip through the cracks if the focus is mostly on Islamic terrorists? yeah....That is a very logical point and makes a lot of sense. If you have too many resources focus on islamic terrorists alone, there's other types of groups that could slip right by or cause harm right under our noses. This is why its important not to be discriminatory or "think" one group can be the chief cause of threats because they were before. Which is why you need to look for threats everywhere and try to prevent everything, which unfortunately is impossible. So you have to do the best you can.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

And for the record, I feel our vetting on radical islamists needs to be stronger than what it is. However, we need to focus on terrorism as a whole. Domestic and foreign,

Of course not, but the European based groups like the IRA, the Basque separatists in Spain and the Italian Red Brigade don't pose much of a threat to us. In Asia, the Malaysian and Phillipino terrorist groups are Muslims. After the radical Muslims, I think our biggest worry are the Mexican/Central and South American drug cartels. Are there others? I'm sure someone will chime in about the crazy Christians.

Many terror organizations throughout the world. To name just a few...Look no further than Boko Harum in Nigeria (who kidnapped all the school children) as well as some from history...FARQ in Colombia, ETA Spain, the IRA in N.Ireland throughout the 70's/80's/90's and the LTTE in Sri Lanka. But, there are many still today.
But, I think Swish says it best....we focus on terror groups yet, in my mind anybody who walks into a theatre, bar, church, school, Planned Parenthood clinic etc. is a terrorist.
Also, remember that with exception to 9/11 the attacks in the US have been by American citizens.

I'm not gonna get into all that.
Ive said everything I can say about that.
All I'm going to say is that the neo nazis, David duke, the people who think Obama is a Muslim and not American, and all these white nationist support trump.
That's the only reason I need to never vote for him.

But dude....more Americans kill Americans than all terror groups combined. Not excusing terror groups but, it seems our real problem is right here in our own country and with our own citizens.

Just for the record, Boko Haram is an Islamic extremist group and they have pledged their allegiance to ISIS. I have more thoughts on that but for now, has anybody looked through the second batch of the Podesta emails that came out today? 2,086 were released in this batch and just briefly skimming a couple sites, it looks like there are some doozies.

No, the conversation started with this...
"Tasty, you brought up something I've wondered about. Is it possible other terrorist groups slip through the cracks if the focus is mostly on Islamic terrorists?"
I asked what other terrorist groups besides Islamic Terrorists are trying to kill us?
They were not talking about domestic terrorists because they are already here and don't need to slip in.

Yep. But, the US doesn't seem to be doing a lot to rescue the 250 or so girls who were kidnapped...two years ago? I also don't remember everybody changing their Facebook profile with the Nigerian flag when it happened nor do I remember any bogus social media pity and outrage like we saw after Paris. Why is that? Could it be because it is in Nigeria and they were all black schoolgirls? Hmmm....

Absolutely disgusting. This is why pigs like the Standford rapist do what they do. Rape culture is alive and well. Trump surrogates not sure groping is sexual assault https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-sessions-kellyanne-conway-sexual-assault-214740908.htmlSeveral of Donald Trump’s top campaign surrogates say they aren’t sure if grabbing a woman by the genitalia without her consent — as the candidate described in a 2005 video that leaked over the weekend — would be considered sexual assault. “I think that’s a stretch,” Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions told the Weekly Standard on Sunday night. “I don’t know what he meant.” In the tape released Friday, Trump was caught on a hot mic bragging to then “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush that he could do anything he wanted to with women because of his celebrity status. “I just kiss. I don’t even wait,” Trump said. “And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p****. You can do anything.” Sessions, a former Alabama attorney general and U.S. attorney, was asked to clarify his response. “So if you grab a woman by the genitals, that’s not sexual assault?” the Weekly Standard’s John McCormack asked. “I don’t know,” Sessions replied. “It’s not clear that he — how that would occur.” McCormack asked Republican National Committee chief strategist Sean Spicer the same question. “I don’t know,” Spicer said. “I’m not a lawyer.” According to Sect. 130.52 of the penal code in Trump’s home state, what he described at the very least is “forcible touching,” a class A misdemeanor: S 130.52 Forcible touching. A person is guilty of forcible touching when such person intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose: 1. forcibly touches the sexual or other intimate parts of another person for the purpose of degrading or abusing such person, or for the purpose of gratifying the actor’s sexual desire; or 2. subjects another person to sexual contact for the purpose of gratifying the actor’s sexual desire and with intent to degrade or abuse such other person while such other person is a passenger on a bus, train, or subway car operated by any transit agency, authority or company, public or private, whose operation is authorized by New York state or any of its political subdivisions. For the purposes of this section, forcible touching includes squeezing, grabbing or pinching. Forcible touching is a class A misdemeanor. If the woman had been penetrated, it could be considered aggravated sexual assault, a felony. On ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos” on Sunday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a top Trump adviser, conceded what the Republican nominee was describing on the 2005 tape was sexual assault. “The problem isn’t just the words,” Stephanopoulos said. “What Trump is describing in that tape is sexual assault.” “That’s what he’s talking about,” Giuliani replied. “You know, whether it happened or not, I don’t know. And how much exaggeration was involved, I don’t know.” Related: Not ‘just words’: Why Donald Trump’s lewd talk matters During Sunday’s debate, CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Trump whether he understood that what he described on the tape was sexual assault. “You described kissing women without consent, grabbing their genitals. That is sexual assault,” Cooper said to Trump. “You bragged that you have sexually assaulted women. Do you understand that?” “No, I didn’t say that at all,” Trump replied. “I don’t think you understood what was — this was locker room talk. I’m not proud of it. I apologize to my family. I apologize to the American people. Certainly I’m not proud of it. But this is locker room talk.” Cooper repeatedly asked Trump if he has ever done what he had described. “No, I have not,” Trump finally replied before pivoting to the fight against ISIS. Kellyanne Conway: Trump took Clinton to task over scandals Campaign manager says the GOP nominee was 'ebullient' after the debate On “Fox & Friends” Monday, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway criticized Cooper for pressing Trump on the topic. “When Anderson Cooper pressed Mr. Trump on sexual assault, Donald Trump shot back and said, No, that’s not what this was. These are words,” Conway said. “And I think there’s something there, because this term ‘sexual assault’ has been bandied about, and I will tell you as somebody who’s worked with and certainly has in my life, as I’m sure we all do, victims of sexual assault, it demeans them to equate that with this for political purposes.”

If she wants to be groped, it is called making out. If she doesn't, it is assault. If she is drunk, it is rape. Have you never in your life been groped by a woman?

Why? It is pointing out a double standard. Also, when people continue to go on and on about Muslim terrorists but seem to forget that the terrorists of recent have been Americans or, they don't list mass shootings as acts of terror it seems a double standard. Why does that not fit into a Presidential campaign thread? Especially when one of our nominees is talking about things that are unconstitutional, vetting, racial profiling, violence in the US, the 2nd Amendment etc. But, pointing out the double standards and hypocrisy of our outrage doesn't fall in line? Strange.

No, I've never been sexually assaulted.
I consent.
I understand consent is something you don't like to acknowledge, but for the rest of us men who was raised with some respect, we don't condone it.

You're making excuses.
As if "harping" on these disgusting pigs try to dance around what's considered sexual assault is something I should ignore.
Either you think like them, or you don't. Either you agree with what they said, or you don't.
So which is it?

I wonder if this is gonna be a historic low for the GOP as far as the women vote.
I wonder what's the lowest percentage they ever got. That record low might just get broken.
