THIS CANT BE GOOD ...

http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/nfl/football-player-news/

Joel Bitonio - G - Browns
Browns LG Joel Bitonio suffered a mid-foot sprain Week 5 against the Patriots and is out indefinitely.
It's a massive loss. Bitonio is Pro Football Focus' No. 8 overall guard and an elite pass and run blocker. It's an especially big loss for Isaiah Crowell and the running game. Bitonio and LT Joe Thomas formed one of the better left-side tandems in the league. With C Cameron Erving (lung) set to return to the lineup, John Greco and Alvin Bailey will be the Browns' guards.

Man, what's the over/under on A Gap blitzes this weekend...?

Hell, I wish we could just find a way to get Pasztor back to LG. He did pretty well there last year filling in for the Paisan.

Have we went a week without a starter getting hurt?

another bad luck break ... our OL will suffer even more

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Oh brother.

Is it too late to change our team name to the Stretchers, or something? crazy banghead

"This can't be good."

amazing

at least it happened...

never mind

at least it doesn't incrementally effect the browns team grade (From F to F-)

at least the browns weren't 3-2

Hey, maybe indefinitely means one quarter this time.

There is no under. Sad, but true. The Tites had a number of sacks against the Fish IIRC.

I am sure somebody is rewriting the DC game plan. It is streamlined now quite a bit. Heavier emphasis on punt returns against us.

No big deal. This team is headed for 0-6 with or without him.

Browns cornerback Joe Haden was added to the team’s participation and injury report Thursday as a limited participant due to a groin injury.

Haden had practiced fully on Wednesday. A groin injury knocked Haden out of the Browns’ Week 3 game at Miami.

Haden missed much of the offseason while recovering from ankle surgery. He was limited to five games last year by a variety of injuries.

Will Haden ever be fully healthy again?

If we cut/trade Haden after the year we only owe him $6.8M. If we keep him we pay him $14.4M. I think Haden will be on the team in 2017, but I would not be shocked if he is not.

Idk but have seen Haden get beat a few times this year. He has made a few good plays as well...his better days might just be behind him.

Looking at his production this year ... And I could care less where PFF has him ranked .. He's been torched for LONG TD'S more than our other corner(s) .. Plus he's had at least one penalty when Jackson ran by him .. Pretty sure there's another one or two in there ..

Anyhow .. Looking at all the BIG PLAYS he's given up .. No way will the ANALYTICS support keeping him .. NO WAY ....

And IMO ... That il be one of the few good analytical driven moves ... *L* ....

I disagree about Haden, and I am a huge critic of him.

I can only think of a two plays this year that were really bad. The TD to Wallace against Baltimore and the long pass to Hogan.

Otherwise I think he's having a comeback season of sorts.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Haden had a great game last week minus the long pass to Hogan ... I think Haden is having a great year ... JMHO thumbsup

Isn't Haden also out this week with another (or probably the same) "groin"? Dude cannot stay on the field. And when he does get there, he's hobbled, slow, or gets burned. He's usually good for one or two plays, jumps around like he's won the Super Bowl, then you can count the minutes until the next burn or injury. I like the guy, but he's only a notch above useless.

He has not been ruled out.

In other news, Bitonio has been put on IR. His season is probably over.

Browns sign FB Dan Vitale; place OL Joel Bitonio on injured reserve

Posted 1 hour ago

Clevelandbrowns.com@Browns Facebook

3rd-year OL injured foot Sunday

The Cleveland Browns have signed FB Dan Vitale (pronounced vuh-TAL-ee) from Tampa Bay’s practice squad. In addition, the team placed OL Joel Bitonio (foot) on injured reserve.

Vitale is a 6-1, 239 pound rookie out of Northwestern. Originally selected by Tampa Bay in the sixth round, he has spent the entire season on the Buccaneers’ practice squad. As a senior, he led Northwestern in receptions (33), receiving yards (355) and receiving touchdowns (four). A native of Wheaton, Ill., Vitale graduated from Wheaton-Warrenville South High School. He will wear No. 40.

Bitonio, a second-round pick in 2014, started all five games this season and helped the Browns rank fourth in the NFL in rushing average (5.62) and fifth in rushing yards (624). He sustained a mid-foot injury during Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Thanks, Memphis. Sucks about Bitonio. Kessler's about to get shredded.

And Crowell might not produce as well either. Very much like NE, I think the Titans will do everything to contain The Crow and force Kessler to beat them.

Defense will need to step up. Horrible matchup vs Delanie Walker this week.

Yeah, and forget about getting to Mariota with Lewan & Conklin.

That was then, this is now, as they say. They didn't have Conklin then, and I believe most, if not all, the guys that got those sacks are gone. Also, ironically, while we did get seven sacks against them, I thinks they've only given up seven sacks this year, and I don't think they gave up any to the Phins. So we'll see.

That one penalty when Jackson ran by him, I thought he had excellent coverage, and that was not really a penalty.

Really ... Two ...

What about in the first game I think ... Some dude I never heard of TORCHED him for a TD ...

What about the two holding penalties that would have been LONG ASS TD'S if he didn't hold ... Jackson in the Wash game on the 2nd series I believe .. Then 1 against Steve Smith I believe ... He's not even fast anymore ...

That's like 5 MAJOR MAJOR NEGATIVE PLAYS off the top of my head ... In 5 games .. That's at least one per game .. Actually it's more than that ... He missed the Miami game didn't he??? Another thing u gotta love .. If he doesn't play Sunday .. He will have missed TWO complete games out of 6 ... Not that being on the field is that important ... smile ,,,

If you think he's playijng good .. We'll have to agree to disagree ...

Yeah, the playoffs are now all but completely out of reach. lol

Sorry, a little gallows humor there.

Hopefully we find guys who can be a part of the future as we play different guys.
