If everyone is all in on "we're not going to win this season" why is the coach getting so upset that he hands his headset to someone else to do his job? Is Hue setting himself up for disappointment? If we're consigned to losing why not just take lawn chairs out there and sip umbrella drinks while we watch rooks get creamed?

In Internet slang, a troll (/'tro?l/, /'tr?l/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion, often for their own amusement.
I guess I should add - they also take one phrase (or three words), ignore the meat of another person's post, and quote it endlessly to try and belittle and provoke. Not once or twice, not with just one poster, but systematically.

Because he was expecting more out of the players that he has than what they delivered this week. He's still got to teach these young guys how to play. Other than the Pats game and this one, I see a team that was competitive. Step #1 - Be patient. It's going to take time.

Having so many players from the same draft class on the roster will create a scenario where too many contracts will occur at once, and the spin will be that "we couldn't possibly keep them all..." This is a bottleneck I don't think we need to worry about. Other than Coleman (if he can stay healthy), Nassib, Ogbah, Kessler (if he can stay healthy), and possibly Louis, there's a good chance the other nine won't be in the league. But we have a butt load of late round draft picks now! So hey, awesome.

Vers....our FO right now is horrible. i know it's their first year but man...gutting the roster and not spending money in FA is killing us. i dunno how Hue keeps the O moving with our talent. and the defense....ugh. I don't think there are any players we could have signed that would have made us markedly improved over last year. If that's the case, you are just spinning your wheels. Bottom out and start over for real. You are caught up in the moment of this team being horrible right now.

Remember when we laughed at the Eagles for being in cap hell a few years ago? They seem to be doing pretty fine to me.
Well yeah, we gave them Wentz? When was that?

Lookie, The Others are at it again. Here is what I posted: peen, I think there are problems w/the plan and that's not going to change because several posters scoff at that opinion and say things like "I am encouraged."
Problems:
--Not re-signing your quality free agents and creating even more holes in an already poor roster is baffling.
--Passing on impact players and stock-piling a lot of lower round picks sounds good, but a team full of guys w/out any stars is not going to win.
--Having so many players from the same draft class on the roster will create a scenario where too many contracts will occur at once, and the spin will be that "we couldn't possibly keep them all..."
--Having a roster that is almost completely devoid of guys who have won playoff games or played w/winning teams is an issue especially when you begin by losing so many games. We are developing a culture of losing and that is so hard to overcome. It's far more important than saying "we have so many draft picks."
--We failed to obtain a franchise qb and that problem is more-than-likely going to be compounded by having to go yet another year because the upcoming qb class doesn't look very good.
--Our team speed on defense is really poor. Heck, our overall team speed is poor. If I were building a team--on any level--team speed would be priority number one!
--Football is different than baseball. In football, you can't assign guys to your minor league teams and have them develop at their own pace. Instead, the roster is limited and you are almost forced to keep all of your choices [just like the Browns did this year w/the rookie class] if you want those players to develop. The problem is that when you draft a bunch of guys at one position, you are then neglecting other positions. I think analytics are a tool, but football is a totally different situation than baseball because you simply can't afford to load-up on one position group. In baseball, guys can stay in the minors for years, but in football, they need to be ready to perform.
I don't think those opinions are so awfully biased. I don't think they are because I "hate the FO." I think there is more logic behind them than some cheerleaders who belittle realistic opinions and offer up "I am encouraged" as proof as to why they are right.
But hey...............that's just me. 888 responds w/this gem: In Internet slang, a troll (/'tro?l/, /'tr?l/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion, often for their own amusement.

What you wrote was : I think there is more logic behind them than some cheerleaders who belittle realistic opinions and offer up "I am encouraged" as proof as to why they are right.
And I responded. "In Internet slang, a troll (/'tro?l/, /'tr?l/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion, often for their own amusement.
I guess I should add - they also take one phrase (or three words), ignore the meat of another person's post, and quote it endlessly to try and belittle and provoke. Not once or twice, not with just one poster, but systematically."
And it's true. You love to try to find an angle that lets you ridicule others over and then draw it out. When you get proven wrong you disappear. You lied about what I said in a different thread - I challenged you on it several times and even though you were active on thread you couldn't and didn't respond. I offer a breakdown on the Browns and give reasons why I am encouraged - and you twist my post, repeatedly use "I'm encouraged" and try to use it as a tool to poke fun.... but the thing is - "I'm encouraged" wasn't offered as proof of anything. That was you totally, completely and deliberately twisting and manipulating what was said.
Since you never have a good word to say about anything I post and always try to have a dig, I suggested you simply don't respond to anything I write .... but you can't help yourself and have to make up crap and try to antagonize. And in response I'll continue to post a definition of what applies. Just one persons opinion - The 20% of articulate and good football comments you make don't make up the other 80%.

But hey...............that's just me. --Not resigning quality players--- this has been beaten to death and back and back to death. all wanted to be somewhere else..MS is the only I can think of that is truly up for debate. --missing out on impact players--- What players did we miss out on? please do tell. I think Kessler is one, Nassib and Ogbah are doing ok. C. Coleman was having an impact before he got hurt. Reiter seemed to do better than all of our other centers til he got hurt. "no stars"? happens when in total rebuild mode imo. --too many rookies on active roster means can't keep them all--- yea really don't think we will have to worry about all fourteen contracts at the same time when contract time rolls around. I am thinking maybe 5 or 6 will stick. --didn't get a franchise QB--- what QB? I think we both said Lynch. he doesn't look very good at the moment. we both said that no QB was worth a top 10 pick in this years draft...I said no 1st rounder either if I remember correctly...so which QB are you referring too? Not Wentz or Dak I hope cuz you didn't pimp either one. --team speed sucks---yea can't disagree there, we also have no DB's that can cover.
I bet you're wondering the samething I did, why O' why didn't I take the...blue pill

One point I do believe you are sorely missing. We can pimp anyone we want. Anyone we think is the right choice. But here is what I believe you are missing, at least I believe you are based upon reading your post. We are fans on a message board. No matter what we think of ourselves, we lack the resources, the experience and the expertise to make such decisions.
So to me, no matter which fans pimped who, we aren't qualified to make those decision in an NFL draft. They are nothing more than the opinions of us unqualified fans. There is a staff making millions of dollars who are supposed to be such experts that are in charge of the draft. Surely you're not suggesting we compare what fans on a message board would choose and compare it to those experts are you?
When our FO drafts four WR's and neglects our secondary, I have questions. When we continue to move down in the draft, I have questions.
Now that by no means that I am going to dog this FO, at least to this point. We have to see how the picks they chose pan out. I was very hard on Buster Skrine when he was drafted but over time, he improved a lot. So I tried to learn a lesson from that.
However, I do find it pretentious to act as if people shouldn't be questioning this FO. There is very little draft experience in this FO. Not one with a resume that would lead you to believe they have past success at their jobs. Now I know the old line that always gets said when this is brought up. "Well we've had people like that in the past and it didn't do any good".
Experience isn't a bad thing just because you have hired the wrong people. Nothing said will change that.
So just because I'm not a person trying to crucify our FO at this juncture, I believe acting as though people don't have some serious questions that are cause for concern would be foolish on my part.
I'm not the kind of person who believes that I have to be right, so everyone else is wrong. All you have to do is look at the election to see where that gets us.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
