Pat McManamon ESPN Staff Writer

Hue Jackson said that Josh McCown has been medically cleared from his broken left collarbone to play. Won't name him starter until week goes on, but sure sounds like McCown will be the guy vs. Jets. Cody Kessler still in concussion protocol.

I am okay with it if he is fully healed, but if not it would be better to wait another week.

wait another week.

actually, i'm probably in the minority but i wouldn't play him at all. we already know what McCown is.

at least Kessler and Hogan have the faintest chance of potentially being the guy. McCown does not.

Play all three of them, at the same time! Three-headed QB attack! The Jets won't know what hit them.

Seriously, you play to win the game, or at least until we win one so we don't go 0-16. Put that guy in and then worry about skills assessments later.

You could legitimitly do that with McCown, Hogan, and Pryor..

It probably would work that well, but it'd be interesting.

We know what he is alright. Might give us an edge against Jets. If we get a game out of him or mix him with Hogan, fine. Down the road can be dealt with later. Worry about the D, start McCown if you can and hope for a win. This may be the week, and maybe it is the last one.

Is Haden taking another week off?

Well, we're so far removed from being in contention for anything that he just isn't needed. There's absolutely zero to gain by rushing him back.

That said, if he's cleared to return and take hits already, then I'm guessing it wasn't all that bad of a break and he probably is good to go.

I doubt whatever whomever it is we're trotting out there is going to amount to much.......

oh, hell.... does any of it really matter???

Just put somebody in a uniform and send them out.

Wife and I, and another couple, went to the Titans game 2 weeks ago.

I was on crutches.

As I'm crutching towards the tailgate party, bunch of Titans fans quit teasing Browns fans around me and asked "what are you DOING?"

"Trying to get to the locker room. I'm the back up qb today."

Eh, let the old man play. It might be the best chance we have all season to notch a W.

It is time for a win long overdue. I am all in, PM!

For the official record, I don't care who wins us games at this point. Get our defense riled up.

Just a reminder, we could still go 9-7 this year rofl

Kidding aside, We really aren't going anywhere this year. I'd say make sure he's 100%. Let Hogan start and have that guy we picked up this week be his back up.

I'd start him. Do every thing to win this game, then go full with Kessler the rest of they way.

I want McCown to start, because he might be the only guy, who can throw downfield on the roster. I want to see some of these guys like Higgins and Louis getting some long routes.

McCown has never been on to get rid of the ball quickly. I doubt that he's going to start now.
