And their defense sucks.

Zaza Pachulla sucks and so does their bench. This is a "no duh" but 1 injury to Durant or Curry and they don't make it out of the west.

If we want to beat Golden State, we NEED Minnesota Kevin Love. Lebron and Kyrie can duel with Durant and Curry. Love has to step up and outplay Draymond. I feel our bench will be better. If that happens, I think we can beat them. Richard Jefferson shut down Shaun Livingston.

For the record, I don't consider Iggy a bench guy. I'm factoring him as a starter.

Simmons just blocked the dog crap out of curry.

Aldridge is destroying the warriors. They have absolutely nobody that can guard him in the paint.

With the Thunder dead, maybe we'll actually see the Spurs and Warriors in the WCF. I wonder if the Spurs are their kryptonite.

Maybe the clippers.

I mean just looking at Aldridge, they aren't stopping him.

They probabaly can't stop griffin either. Nor Jordan.

They've always been a little weak in the paint, but now they don't even have Bogut around to counter it.

I'd just play the percentages with Golden State. Let them shoot 3's at 45% if it means I have a 75% chance of scoring a 2 because their interior defense sucks.

So, without using the garbage time score.

The good news for GS is they scored 97 points.

The bad news? The spurs scored 120.

I have said all along, while everyone was screaming that the Warriors would be unbeatable this year, that GSW would be weak in the lane, and I am a firm believer in that the game is won and lost in the paint. It may not necessarily show on the stats sheet , but its kind of like in football which team wins the battle of the trenches is the one who wins the majority of the time. JMO

The Knicks are gonna suck this year. They looked slow and bad defensively.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

they're just too old ... if this was 2010, they'd be awesome

If Jonathan Simmons develops, the Spurs will be really tough for Golden State.

Parker
Green
Simmons
Kawhi
Aldridge

That starting 5 isn't better than Golden State. However, they can keep the game close. Then their bench with Lee, Gasol, Manu, and Patty can dominate the Warriors bench.

I love basketball and last night's ceremony was awesome, but last year proved to me that the regular season means almost nothing in the NBA. That takes a lot of the fun away when it's almost pointless to discuss how the team is playing at any point of the regular season. It's like.......no comments are worthy until you get to the Finals.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but playoff seeding is important. Meaning, the Cavs have nothing to prove over the next 81 games about their talent. They could coast into the playoffs from here, but they would be stupid to not get HCA in the East (and the West if possible).

It stinks there are so many regular season games. Each one is really only 1.22% of the season. Beating the 76ers or Nets carries the same weight as beating the Spurs or Warriors. But that 1.22% adds up to enable you to get homecourt, which is important (maybe on in the 2nd round and later).

And they've lost three home games in a row. Weird.

I get that part, but thinking back to last year and talking about things like Kyrie refusing to play defense and the team's lack of chemistry and the in-fighting and so on and so on seems kinda pointless now. LOL

I just wish the games were more meaningful than what they are. Talking about the games and the state of the team is fun.

The media will try to create drama within the Cavs, if the Warriors start slow at all, they will dissect that.. they are always building up some second tier teams as the teams that could challenge..

It will still be fun but my priority for the duration of the season is no major injuries..

Tim Leggler is the worst about it. Every year there's always some team that can dethrone Lebron in the east, but they never do.

I'm guessing he sits out too many games to win it. My money is on James Harden or Kawhi Leonard.

James Harden and the rockets aren't even a lock to make the playoffs.

I agree. But if they make it to 50 wins then Harden has a pretty good shot at winning it.

Like Swish was saying with Harden, his team might not win enough games.

he also has to get into the playoffs.

the West is gonna be interesting to see. i'm thinking 2, maybe 3 teams that didn't get in last year will get in this year.

Wolves the dark horse?

I think they are too popular to be a dark horse. The Pelicans are the dark horse.

Warriors, Spurs, Clippers, and the Blazers are all locks. That leaves four spots for the Mavericks, T'Wolves, Jazz, Thunder, Rockets, and Grizzlies.

Grizzlies have to be a lock.

look at all those injuries last year and they still made the 7th.

a healthy grizzlies team could cause some damage.

Most of the injuries came when they already had the playoffs locked up.

The injury concerns are the only reason they are not a lock.

Russell Westbrook (Pts: 32, Reb: 12, Ast: 9)

Not bad as well. He averaged 23.5, 7.8 & 10.4 last season. I think he'll raise the scoring and rebounding this season. That could have him averaging a triple double for the season. Insane.
