I am flying in to catch the Browns/Dolphins game and was wondering what are the best places to park my rental that wont cost an arm and leg? Also I did several google searches of parking for the stadium, just trying to determine which lots is best suited for tailgators and so on. Cause I am bringing Dolphin fan with me and I want him to experience the Dawg Pound.

Also any suggestions on some sports bars to get my Dolphin fan adjusted to the "Cleveland" sports climate.

The Muni Lot, off of E. 9th and Rt. 2 is the place to tailgate.

Where are you staying?

Coming in Saturday, leaving Monday?

It'll be $15 to park and tailgate in the Muni Lot.

Take 271 N from Macedonia to 480 W to 77 N, exit at the E. 9th St. exit - take E. 9th north all the way down (about a mile) and just before the Rock Hall, make a right onto the Rt. 2 ramp, drive about 1/4 mile, and veer right into the City of Cleveland parking lot. That's the Muni Lot. Get there at about 8am, anything after 8:30am and you'll be weaving in and out of tailgaters.

Just to give you an idea. Check out Hoopers site about where many of us Tailgate when we go to games. You'll meet a lot of posters from this board there.

Here's a place I really like.
It's in the Library district which is basicly located between the flats and the stadium.

Great specials and more.

Welcome. I see Pitt already gave you the low down on Hooper's site. Please do join us at DawgTalk Island, your friend will be welcomed there too with only minor good natured ribbing.

The "library District" Pitt referred to is actually known as the "Warehouse District" just in case you need to ask how to get there once you hit town.

Again welcome to the board. If you have any other questions you've come to the right place. See you in November, maybe.

Warehouse district....

If you're going to be in Macedonia on Saturday, check out the Macedonia Winking Lizard (http://www.winkinglizard.com/data/content/macedonia.asp) or head to the one in Independence (http://www.winkinglizard.com/data/content/independence.asp) which is a personal favorite.

If you choose to come downtown on Saturday for the OSU game, the McCarthey's in the Flats area always has a huge OSU following, although Blind Pig isn't bad either.

There's already a Waldo who sits in the Pound.
