This is setting up REAL NICE for us ...
Looks like Nick Mangold there VERY GOOD CENTER isn't going to be able to play .. that means our by far best DL Shelton will have NOT Mangold to deal with him .. he could WREAK HAVOC ..
They stop the run very well ..... but SUCK against the PASS ....

I was thinking of not going to this game, but I agree, we can win this game.
If not, I have reservations at Don's Pomeroy House, in Strongeville after the game for a Lobster/Clam bake. All's not lost. A great meal in a quality restaurant isn't a bad thing. Right?
If it isn't a victory meal, it will still be a damn good meal.

I believe WE'RE winning this one, too. Last Sunday's embarrassing display on D and hue ripping them might just be the moment that lights a fire under the ass of our defence. Haden takes heat around here but WE'RE better with him than not. If mangold is out it only helps us. Luke will help us with his arm, brings a deep threat option that Kessler doesn't. I wish Coleman could play this weekend, it sucked when he broke his hand because suddenly we lost a playmaker at WR. Btw, I only get on you for your spelling cuz it's funny, I wouldn't chide anybody else. I'm not a grammar cop . Your posting style is entertaining and I'm glad you found your way back here. I can't see it happening really, but it is the best chance of a victory. Actually, if Geno never got hurt and was starting, I might actually feel good about getting the W. Our Browns can score some points they just can't stop the other team from scoring.

Hehe...I was coming on thinking I would make a post about our upcoming FIRST WIN...but no need just add on to yours...
As much as I love the progress of Kessler he just hasn't been able to complete games and although we are in it...and I thought we would win - instead I would see Whitehurst or Hogan finishing the game and pretty much sealed the deal on both.
Of course there is no guarantee that McCown will finish without injury. But I think he is more apt to make proper presnap reads and get rid of that ball quicker.
I am curious to see if they have 7 in the box or go with 8+?
Hue will be able to utilize the entire play book with McCown in.
The entire game is going to depend on the play of Fitzpatrick. He can get incredibly hot and then he can be cold as ice and we have to put pressure on him. He will not burn us. He does have that small hands effect in fumbling and in squeezing that ball with pressure and it just pops out to anyone out there to catch.
Wish Trent Williams would take over FS and make the protection calls.
I don't wish to see that 4 man DL this week...I want us back to the 3-4!
I went from depressed as I thought Hogan was going to be our starter and Callahan the #2. To really upbeat. I'd love for us to go into the 2nd half with a win 1-7 and reward the young kids for their hard work. 2nd half (half the games within our division) I wish to get on a winning streak and just kick butt!
Got to start somewhere.

A group I'm in at church take an annual trip to a Browns game. this is year 11, and our record is surprising, Browns are 7-3 on our trips so far. Charter a bus, tailgate (now at the Aquarium) and hit Cleats on the way home. It's a good time. We're from a Catholic church, so drinking and swearing is all good. And, we tend to pray more during the game than when we are at church. Would love to hit columbus's tailgate some time, but we are not in a convenient place to stop by. My kids want to see a game this year so maybe I will make it, and meet some of the posters.

I think this is a game we can, should and very well WILL win.
The problem is....Fitzpatrick can either throw for 6 TDs or 6 INT. Knowing our luck he will hit his TD's.
Maybe it's the Indians and I am feeling super positive about this weekend....maybe it's McCown coming back or maybe it's that the Jets just aren't very good. But, I honestly think we get win #1 this week. We will need the confidence boost as the Cowboys are coming to town next week and that could be a long day.

I thought we might just win this game at the half .... but now ..... not so much. Cmon.. you've been a fan long enough to KNOW that we can never call a victory after just 1 half. Time and time again this team has proven to us all that if we don't get 100% execution for 60 minutes, we are losing.

I thought about this thread during the game today.
When the Browns went up 17-7.
But when their last drive of the first half ended with a field goal and a half time score of 20-7,
I just knew the Jets' would score two unanswered touchdowns in the second half.
The Browns have been this exact path before. (20-7 half-time lead and lost)
