I live in Dallas and have three boys - 3, 5 and 7 years old. We didn't get to come up for the Cavs' parade due to our baby girl coming early.

I've decided that WHEN we win, I'm lugging my 3 boys into the mini-van and headed to Cleveland for the parade.

For those of you that went to the Cavs parade or spoke to those who went, was it kid friendly? Should I bring a little wagon to haul them or a stroller? Seems like it would keep them from getting split up better.

Any other suggestions?

Anyone hear when the parade would be? If the same as the Cavs' parade it would be two full days between winning and the actual parade which gives me just enough time to get there late the night before.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!!!

I went and brought my 4 year old and 1 year old and it was fine. Good luck parking. Don't take the rapid... that was our plan and apparently the plan of everyone in cuyahoga county. It was a disaster for a lot of people who had to wait 3+ hours to get there.

This thread reminded me of a Stanley Cup final in the 1980s. The Oilers were up 3-1 and the City of Edmonton announced the day of the championship parade.
That ticked off the Flyers and a few days later they were playing game 7.
The Oilers won, but still.....

Not leaving until we win Tuesday. Don't believe in Jinxes.

Throwing 3 little kids in a car for two days just isn't something you can do spur of the moment when drivetime is about 2 days and that is likely to be the only separation between the win and the event.

Yup, I saw this thread and wanted the Refs to immediately delete it and burn the tape backup.

jinxed

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I used a personal day and stayed home.

Text convo after Davis HR with my friend who was at work.

"HOLY ____"

"WHAT? I JUST TURNED IT OFF"

"TURN IT BACK OFF!"

Because, Sports.

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

We left on Wednesday morning anyway. Was so sure we'd pull it off. Awesome memory listening to it old school on the radio in the car with my three little ones. Wound up getting to a Cavs and Browns game.

If you think my planning from 4 fans from Dallas, Texas, had any effect on that outcome, you should avoid stepping on cracks, leaving the home on Friday the 13th and I have some great swamp land to sell you in Florida!
