What baffles me is those that claim to be so righteous and stand for high morals wish to support a man that mocks disabled people, defame women and be against, it seems, everyone but white males. Now if you seem to miss the hypocrisy in that, so be it.

I'm not the one going around this place spreading lies, trying to play Sherlock Holmes claiming suspicions as facts. I admire those in this election cycle who have claimed to be morally upright who can denounce demagogues for what they truly are.

So the fact that I bring up the truth about such things only helps enforce how far they have gone away from their core beliefs to drop to such depths.

No Hillary isn't any better. But the left doesn't try to paint themselves as the Christian right, the moral majority or any other phrase that connects them to such beliefs in the political arena. Many are excusing their actions with some type of rationale that makes it seem okay that they endorse a man who says and claims so many things their beliefs stand against.

Neither of these candidates deserve your vote, my vote, or anyone elses vote for that matter. It is the depths of depravity that our nation has stooped to.

Trump is completely right. He could shoot somebody and you'll still vote for him. Hell, he could be confirmed to be a Klan member and you and others on this board will still vote for him.

I have stated this, but maybe not plainly enough. The Democrats don't try to tie their politics with their religion. They don't claim to be the "moral majority" or the "Christian right". So to put it plainly, I expect the Democrats to run scum. There's no surprise to me there. There are a ton of Trump supporters on this board to carry his banner.

What does surprise me, is how Christians can support him. I myself am Christian. I have a certain standard that I expect from a candidate. And being as it's politics, that's a certain floor or minimum I expect, not a ceiling. So I'm not surprised that the Democrats would run someone like Hillary. I don't believe there's anything earth shattering about that.

I am however shocked that Christians, or so called Christians, can support a candidate so morally bankrupt. It's beyond me how they can sell their own belief system down the river to do that. I guess maybe I hold my fellow Christians to a somewhat more moral standard than I do a party and voters who certainly have not laid claim to be the party of Christians.

I will never understand the thought process of an individual who thinks just because we live in America, elections can't be rigged. On a daily basis we are bombarded with example after example of criminal behavior from people from a wide range of back grounds. We now live in the Information Age, if someone doesn't know something, it's simply because they chose not to educate themselves.

And if after the Wikileaks scandal has done nothing to make one question everything they are told by our elected officials/media, well, not sure what to tell you. . . .

As for the voting fraud going on, if we go back to paper ballots, that will stop the hacking problem and the machine changing votes. Then all we have to worry about is multiple registrations, dead people, illegals voting, and liberals trying to determine intent from a hanging chad.

Underreporting this problem does not mean it doesn't exist.

You must have missed the news where the FBI is investigating several voter registration companies that have turned in fraudulent registrations in PA, TX, the people that turning in 80+ absentee ballots in CA that were delivered to an apartment (the all had different names at that same address, and they're investigating the two people that turned them in), and I'm sure there are many, many more. These are just the ones I've read today.

The article is specifically talking about in person voter fraud.

I agree that absentee ballots are a major issue.

Virginia has printed 1 million provisional ballots, an unprecedented number that could allow a large number of previously disqualified felons to cast ballots for president in the potentially crucial swing state.

So says Reagan George, the president of the Virginia Voters Alliance.

“In 2012, Fairfax used 2,500 provisional ballots. In 2016, they received over 265,000. This is ridiculous.”

George, a conservative election watchdog, charged on Monday that the Virginia Department of Elections is overpreparing for worst-case scenarios and increasing the likelihood of illegal votes being cast. In reply to Republican complaints earlier this month, Virginia Department of Elections Commissioner Edgardo Cortés acknowledged officials are preparing for all contingencies, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

But George said the provisional ballot printing doesn’t make sense even for contingencies. And it doesn’t compare to demand in 2012.

“The claim that it is for contingency planning is bogus,” George said in an email. “In 2012, Stafford County used less [sic] than 500 provisional ballots — in 2016 they received 30,000. In 2012, Loudoun County used 700 provisional ballots. In 2016, they received 84,000. In 2012, Fairfax used 2,500 provisional ballots; in 2016, they received over 265,000. This is ridiculous.”

"As part of its emergency preparedness efforts and in response to the [December] 2015 consent decree related to mitigating long lines at the polls, the Department issued guidance to local registrars on August 29, 2016, that included having enough provisional ballot envelopes to equal at least 20 percent of the number of active voters as of September 1," Potter said in an email. "As of September 30, there were 5.5 million voters registered in Virginia. As with any contingency planning, we hope that we don't have to use these but they will be available in case we do."

The decision to print so many provisional ballots comes after an April announcement by Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat and a key ally of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. McAuliffe said he would allow more than 200,000 released felons to vote on Nov. 8.

The decision immediately brought a legal challenge from the Republicans, who won their suit in July. Virginia law says the governor must individually clear such cases, and cannot widely add so many released felons back to the voter rolls.

George believes the court loss is part of the thinking behind the surge in provisional ballots. The thousands of felons who signed up to vote after McAuliffe's order were initially welcomed to the voter rolls. George said left-wing voter groups were ready for the order, and signed up thousands of felons within hours.

If those felons now walk into a polling place and demand a ballot, they will be accommodated, George charged. George also said he is concerned other ineligible voters will be handed such provisional ballots simply if they demand them.

Provisional ballots are only counted by city and county election boards after Nov. 8, and Republicans should be prepared for things to go against them, George said. Each board has a Republican and a Democrat, and a McAuliffe appointee.

"Guess which way the vote is going to go," said George.

Virginia leaders have been dealing with election headaches for months. On Oct. 13, Virginia legislators questioned Cortés at a hearing. One Republican leader, citing election problems, called for Cortés to resign, according to the Times-Dispatch.

"I think it's incumbent upon the governor to replace you quickly with competent and nonpartisan leadership," said Delegate Timothy Hugo (R-Fairfax).
