The Men have a long road to ho.

Ok so you farmers know it's a "Long Row to Hoe".

Anyway the Top-25 preseason is loaded with Big Ten Teams.

#9 Wisconsin
#11 Indiana
#12 Michigan State
#15 Purdue
#25 Maryland

The men aren't on the radar. Bring back O'Brien.

On the plus side The Buckeye Women are right there.

Rated #2 in the country:

#1 UCONN Huskies
#2 Everybody else.

(actually The Buckeye women are ranked #1 in Big Ten, #6 in country.

I guess the Midshipmen are out on patrol.

Buckeyes are 17 1/2 point favorites.

Unfortunately I have to work this evening and probably won't get home till closer to 10:00. I'll probably miss that game and the Cavs as well....

No problem WV.

Buckeye's game doesn't start until 9 pm EST. Should be plenty of game left when you get home.

On CSN (CBS Sports Network).

Then maybe I will get a chance to catch it. Where I work is an hour and a half from my house. The student certification evaluation we do are never done at the same time. So, my biggest question mark is what time will we finish? We've been done as early as 8:00 and as late as 10:00...

1 1/2 hour drive eh?

That sounds like a commute from Charleston.

So how is the team looking this year? Haven't followed college BBall much the last couple of years. Does OSU have a team this year, or still lacking talent after their big stars left?

slow:

Yes, team is lacking talent. (relative to the rest of the Big Ten, and a lot of the NCAA for that matter)

And the Buckeyes' have not won a national championship in Men's Basketball since 4 years BEFORE the Browns last Championship. (1960)

Is he having trouble recruiting? Why are they struggling? I thought Matta was supposed to be one of the better college coaches.

Well when a former walk on writes it, it can only get so good. However I think the little gem about Lou Holtz was pretty good.

I 100% believe OSUs struggles correlate with Mattas back issues. It's why I think he will retire pretty soon.

We need to run this starting 5:

Lyle
Williams
Bates-Diop
Loving
Thompson

Have Tate be a 6th man.

Well, 1-0.

Buckeyes beat Navy 78-68.

The Buckeyes first big game is probably Nov. 30th @ #8 Virginia (Cavaliers).

Geez, #18 UCONN lost to Wagner last night in Connecticut! Huge upset. Looks like it's going to be a very long season for the UCONN Husky men.

Uconn with a huge loss to start the year. Surprising.

OSU with a win ... not against a good team, but a W

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Tonight the Buckeye men host The Fightin' Eagles of North Carolina Central Community College.

I think the Buckeyes are favored by infinity. I should spring for the extra $50/month for BTN. (The Big Ten Network)

The Buckeyes barely got by North Central Carolina last night (69-63).

You gotta be careful against those pesky MEAC teams. (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)

Jae'Sean Tate saved the day with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Tate's back after missing the y/e tourneys last season (2016) with a shoulder injury. I don't think the preseason rankings reflected him coming back 100%.

Sayonara #18 ranked UCONN (men).

They lost to a second mid-major last night. (Northeastern Huskies)

To start their season 0-2.

Buckeyes face their first decent test of the year.

I apologize for the highly Specist caricature of a Buckeye.

candy, you don't have a clue where that image is from do you?

Here's a hint:

"THANK YOU SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER."

That's Kevin Bacon getting paddled.

The scene is the Omega House pledge initiation from the movie Animal House.

Generally accepted as one of the funniest movies of all-time.

Candy, do you know who this is?

I can't remember every scene from every movie lol

Jaquan Lyle is too awkward for Mattas scheme. He's a good player, but his handles and lack of vision hurt him. It's like trying to use a Russell Westbrook when you need a Rajon Rondo (when he was great).
