It angers me like the rioting. I'm friends with several lieutenants and seargents in the Charlotte Police Department. They had to deal with riots and a Hurricane. Just brutal what has happened down there.

That's BS DC. All of it. BS!

I've been underwater since 2009 still am. I've lost 35k of value on my home. Still the same. I know tons of others in the exact same boat. I know a few area's that have bounced back but in general nope. The middle class home owner that continues to make their mortgage payment and is still underwater has helped carry the load for those like Trump who stiff their creditors and suppliers. So your lot shouldn't be upset when the rest of us that are still underwater get smart like Trump saywhat and do the same thing.

When did you buy your home?

Still waiting for a link that "most existing homes have lost 20-30% of their value since 2006" (you know, the height of the housing boom).

Homes in decent areas are selling like hot cakes. Ask portland. Ask the guy that started a thread about buying a home. Ask me.

Ask my son.

And further, has your mortgage payment gone up? If so, you got into an adjustable rate mortgage to take advantage of rates, when you knew they could go up.

If your payment hasn't gone up, what's the problem? The value will come around for you.

Both sides are talking about the same people so in that respect it is no different. Where it becomes different is that the people being discussed, for the most part, consider themselves Republicans... so where the conversation gets derailed is that some on the left make blanket statements about Republicans, which offends many of us... like calling tens of millions of people deplorable.. if we could just understand that we all dislike the same group of people and it's a fairly small part of the republican party, we could probably get along better.

Which is odd because I read it from Briebart news.

So I dunno why they are denying something their own cabinet member is letting get published.

My point was with Diam saying the white supremists should be hog tied and whipped and should have no place in our country is EXACTLY the same stuff the KKK says about Blacks.

How is one different from the other? Both are Americans and have a right to be here and have their opinions. Diam's statement about the KKK was no different than what I hear from the KKK about Blacks.
Both are wrong.

U sound like Swish ...

The KKK wants to hog tie and whip people based on either race or religion .. thats WRONG ...

I want to hog tie and whip whoever is "ASSUALTING" others ...

I want to hog tie and whip based off a DISPICABLE BEHAVIOR ...

The KKK wants to do it because of race or religion ...

HUGE DIFFERENCE ...

Both are wrong.

The difference is that people hate the KKK for their beliefs, which they are in full control of.... the KKK hates blacks just for being black.

Somebody posted on FB a meme of Bernie Sanders the other day which said "Our job is to oppose him [Trump] vigorously through millions of people in many, many different ways,"

I disagree with that completely. your job is not to oppose HIM just because he's HIM.. your job is to oppose anything he does as President that you disagree with. It is setting up DC to be no better under Trump than it was under Obama when people opposed everything he said, just because HE said it.

Yes, but I say it is everyone's job, with any respect for our Constitution, to vote against the guy you don't like and if he wins anyway, you accept the results. You respect the Office. You respect the Constitution.

Depending on the city, he's accurate:

Parma home values plummeted 20 percent since 2007, the most of Ohio's big cities (photo gallery)

http://www.cleveland.com/parma/index.ssf/2015/02/parmas_property_values_dropped.html

This was written in 2015.

I'm sure there's plenty of cities that fit the description.

Thanks for answering swish. I appreciate that.

In your link, did you catch the words "housing bubble"?

Yes, when things skyrocket, there IS a downside.

I could go on, but I won't.

I applaud you for actually posting a link. The other guy wouldn't even do that.

The decline in the housing market started with people thinking they could buy a home, then flip it a couple of years later.

Speculation. Some win, some lose.

Those that bought a house with the idea of living in it more than a couple/several years? They're ok.

Edited to add: Not everyone lives in the city.

..And speaking of our presidential elect:

'Trump settles Trump University lawsuits for $25 million'

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-settles-trump-university-lawsuits-for-25-million-215707514.html

From the article:

The Trump University case concerns the running of a for-profit business school launched by Trump in 2005 with a promotional YouTube video and ads that proclaimed, “I can turn anyone into a successful real estate investor, including you,” “Are you my next apprentice?” and “Learn from my handpicked experts how you can profit from the largest real estate liquidation in history.”

In fact, Trump University was never an accredited educational institution, and he was later forced by state attorneys general to change its name to the “Trump Entrepreneurial Initiative.” The former students suing him allege that Trump used “misleading, fraudulent and predatory practices,” conning them into maxing out their credit cards and in some cases paying more than $35,000 in fees for seminars and “mentoring” by Trump’s “handpicked” real estate experts. The lawsuit against the school, which is no longer in business, alleged that the seminars were little more than an “infomercial” and that the Trump mentors offered “no practical advice” and “mostly disappeared.”

Yea that's the problem with some deciding to go with an adjustable rate mortgage over a fixed rate.

With an adjustable rate, people back before the bubble popped were banking on the rates either staying the same, or even dropping. That's how people were able to get into houses they had no business being in.

On the flip side, nobody expected complete chaos on the market and economy tanking the way it did.

Government and corporations have a responsibility to do right by the people.

But people also have the responsibility to do right by themselves

Yeah.... it's always a fun game to play- that 'tit-for-tat' thing.

But really.... let that fact sink in for a minute.

We should be extremely upset (or at least unsettled) at the choices we were given.

Unfortunately it was the choices we choose, not were given. The D's started with 2, that's pretty pitiful. The R's started with 17, even more pitiful. But in the end, the primaries were held and the sour cream rose to the top.

We should be extremely upset (or at least unsettled) at the choices we were given.

First off, Trump is not guilty and did not admit guilt.

Second, Trump decided to settle even though he felt he could beat this because he is dedicated to making America great again and does not want to waste time on a personal matter.

Third, you are right about being extremely upset by the choices we were given as there was only one choice that was viable, Trump!
