I'm trying to imagine a league where Roethlisberger is available ... ? If he is, he'll probably put up 30+ this week.

A dead league with 8 people.

I submitted the claim for Big Ben. Mariota was the only QB who I thought could start for me this week. All the other big name QB's like Winston, Wilson and Palmer all have games against good defenses this week.

Kirk Cousins and Russell Wilson might also be safe options as well.

do I sit Pryor and play Michael Floyd this week? (due to weather)

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Tough to say, I've got TP, too. He might see the wildcat more again and Pitt's D is looking fairly vulnerable.

I'm trying to pick 3 between Tyreek Hill, Pryor, Doug Baldwin, Amari Cooper, and S. Diggs.

All could go big, but they're all fairly inconsistent.

I would keep Pryor. Floyd is often a no-show.

In daily fantasy, Floyd costs $4,900. Pryor costs $7,200. Floyd scores 8.82 fantasy pts per game. Pryor scores 12.4.

It really ain't very close, but like anything else............"on any given Sunday...."

I have Pryor too. all season. like Vers I would start Pryor. One he is Cody's favorite target I do believe, so he will get plenty of looks...bad weather = quick slants and comebacks.

Heaven help me, I'm starting Giovani Bernard and Thomas (Lou) Rawls at RB today. Its not like I have a lot to choose from - I have Terrance West, Chris Ivory, and Dion Lewis on the bench. In other words: stugatz. Can't believe I drafted so poorly at RB, but good FF RB's have become like gold.

And to think I was upset I started Kelley over Gurley after the early games.

DraftKings and FanDuel Agree to Merge Daily Fantasy Sports Operations

The daily fantasy sports companies DraftKings and FanDuel have agreed to merge after a turbulent year in which both of their values plummeted as several attorneys general questioned the legality of their games in their states.

The merger must be approved by regulators and will take time — the companies said they expected the deal to close in the second half of 2017. Until then, both sides will operate under their own brands.

The merger was one of necessity: Lobbying and legal costs had damaged both companies’ bottom lines to the extent that representatives of the companies last month asked the New York attorney general’s office to allow them to pay a combined $12 million settlement in installments after claims that they employed false and deceptive advertising practices, two people familiar with those negotiations said.

In recent weeks, according to these two people, FanDuel, based in New York, laid off more than 60 people, and both companies have acknowledged that they are months behind in their payments to vendors, especially to the array of public relations and lobbying firms that they have employed across the nation to persuade individual state legislatures to legalize daily fantasy games — the most critical component of rebuilding their business.

“Joining forces will allow us to truly realize the potential of our vision, and as a combined company, we will be able to accelerate the pace of innovation and bring a richer experience to our customers than we ever could have done separately,” Jason Robins, chief executive of DraftKings, said in a statement.

If the merger is approved, Robins will retain that title in a new company, while FanDuel’s chief executive, Nigel Eccles, will become chairman of the board.

“While both companies have accomplished much already,” Eccles said, “this transaction will create a business that can offer a greater variety of offerings, appealing to new users, including the tens of millions of season-long fantasy players that haven’t yet tried our products.”

Last year, at the beginning of the N.F.L. season, DraftKings and FanDuel overwhelmed sports broadcasts with hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising that emphasized their get-rich-quick prize payoffs. At the time, it was a largely unregulated, multibillion-dollar industry in which players paid a fee on a website, assembled virtual rosters of players in pursuit of jackpots ranging from $22 to $2 million, and scored points based on the real-world outcomes of professional games.

Daily fantasy sports appeared to be a virtual cash machine. The companies were valued at more than $1 billion each. Their investors included Major League Baseball and the N.B.A.; the Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and the New England Patriots owner Robert K. Kraft; and major media companies like NBC.

After a DraftKings employee won a major jackpot on FanDuel’s site in October 2015, however, Eric T. Schneiderman, the New York State attorney general, began an inquiry into whether employees of the companies had used inside information to prey on customers on each other’s sites. Soon, scores of class-action lawsuits were filed in courts across the country.

Schneiderman shut down the industry in New York, declaring daily fantasy sports to be illegal gambling, but he laid the groundwork for a deal in March when he suggested a June 30 deadline for the State Legislature to act to address the games’ legal status. It did, and Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed the bill into law in August.

New York was the eighth state to declare daily fantasy sports legal, and the companies are facing expensive efforts to have their games legalized in the big markets of Illinois and Texas.

I wish the legislatures would concern themselves w/more important issues and back the hell off of Daily Fantasy sights.

I enjoy it immensely. It makes the games so much more fun. I play several basketball leagues every night and several football leagues each week.

It's fun. I enjoy it. I don't lose a ton of money and I don't need big brother to interfere.

Matt Ryan is at least at home.

Earl Thomas being banged up makes it interesting, but didn't 2 of the Panthers linemen just go on IR?

Do you have both guys in a year-long league? That would be something special.

If it a question about Daily fantasy, I can only tell you that I am not playing either.

Yearly league. I drafted Newton.

But someone dropped Ryan, I have no idea why, so I picked him up because Cams been struggling, and he's playing Seattle..

I'll probably go with Ryan..

I'm strongly considering Matt Ryan as a contrarian play this week since alot of DFS players will be on Brees at home, Big Ben, and R. Wilson....hell, even Kaepernick after his performance last week. I see ATL attacking KC pass defense in a major way, all day. I don't expect Freeman to run a lot but will be effective in the passing game as well.

The real beneficiary will be Julio Jones. Phillip Gaines is allegedly moving to the slot, and a back up CB will be placed on the outside. Peters doesn't shadow receivers ( I don't think )and expect Julio to go to town. I think people overrate the KC defense, especially against in the passing game. Matt Ryan will be low-owned and am considering taking advantage of a Ryan- Julio Jones stack. Julio will probably be in 100% of my lineups, both cash and tournaments. That's how much I like him.

Sadly, me too. I hate him too. Don't know why I had the thought to draft him. My top 3 picks were AP, Gronk, Cam ... BLAH

Playing Stafford? I liked his price tag and match up personally. I play on FanDuel.

I almost took Stafford in one league. He's pretty good and New Orleans' D stinks. But, I have taken him twice this year and both times he put up poor fantasy numbers.

I've been editing my daily leagues all morning....8 different leagues thus far. LOL

8 teams, yikes - I get confused sometimes with 2. Just this week I picked up Vernon Davis to cover Jordan Reed if he's out (he is), but I picked him up for the wrong team. DOH!

BTW, anybody think I should start Vernon Davis over Tyler Eifert today? Maybe my brain cramp was some providential type of second sight? (I am a little bit physic, ya know - I have ESPN.)

Everything I read said Dixon was taking touches away from West, and that none of the Ravens RBs could be trusted..

And then I saw Miller vs GBs defense..

And then he got 1 point.

1

1 fricken point. As a starting, number 1 RB.

Not sure if you want advice or not. So, if you don't........stop reading. LOL

I never read-or listen to--what the fantasy "experts" have to say. I make analytical charts. I know that is probably too involved, but you would probably be better off tracking what the player has done in recent weeks and how the opposing defense stacks up against particular positions. There are a plethora of free sites out there that provide every stat imaginable.

I just usually read the little blurbs Yahoo has, as it relates to RBs they give you a weekly break down of whos getting the carries.

West had been super inconsistent, so I went with the "#1" rb..

It's been a weird FF year.

There are tons of great DFS analysts out there....they're just not on ESPN, NFL.com, or Yahoo. There are podcasts I listen to throughout the week that help me build my cash lineups and I've had a pretty good ROI because of them. Shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to share who I suggest listening to.
