Let me say this about that: The video shows a guy running away, as fast as he can. At that point, the cop doing what he did is flat out wrong.

IF there was a threat before - like the guy took the taser......that threat was gone, as we can see what appears to be the cop dropping the taser by the guy. Let's assume the guy took the taser, ran, and dropped it and kept running. Cop ran after him, picked the taser up, and continued going after the guy.

It still makes no sense why the cop shot the guy. In the back.

Like I said, it looks bad for the cop. And as I also said, the difference between murder and manslaughter is getting someone to believe what he said about being attacked.

To me it seems a combo of two things:

1) "Street code" dictates that you run. I'm sure Scott did it all his life and usually got away.

2) Slager was a bad cop. Poor judgement, bad temper, itching to use his weapons training.

Verdict: He's guilty of some sort of manslaughter charge, right?

What the video doesn't show is what should be of interest. Did the guy grab at his weapon, and did he fight with the cop? That would be the difference between a murder charge and manslaughter, and that is not shown. The rest of it looks bad for the cop.

The answer to all of your questions is, it doesn't matter. This is a photo of the unarmed man seconds before being shot.

Whatever threat the officer may have felt at any point in this interaction was over...

Once again, that initial fight is the difference between murder and manslaughter. The defense would argue that the cop was still feeling the adrenalin from the previous fight, leading to the cop's bad judgement in shooting the guy while running away. Any decent lawyer would get any murder charge against the cop reduced in an appeal, if it doesn't happen on this trial.

BTW, does anyone know which juror was the hung juror? I'm curious to know if it was the one black guy.
