Then we will just never agree on this.

It's a fundamental difference that will never change.

This is what confuses me about moderating on this site. I've been banned for less antagonistic posts than this. It's why I brought up a month ago about moderating having a bias and why I believe there should be transparency.

You actually have a surplus left from all those Obama generated tears you shed over the last 8 years?

I never cried much about Obama because he accomplished nothing in his 8 years. Only Obamacare and its being removed.

But I collect your tears daily. I'm going to be on Shark Tank with a product that recycles liberal tears to states in drought. Its a good product. The Green Party likes it.

I don't know. I do know I got a 3, or 4, or maybe 5 day ban for name calling a week and half ago or so.

And the thing is, I don't even know who I called a name, or what name I called.

In attempt to out this back on track I have a question, what swamp is Trump draining? He keeps hiring Goldman Sachs people for his cabinet. He's against corruption and banks owning politicians.

So his response is to appoint those people for cabinet positions....?

He's draining the swamp of the puppets. The puppet masters decided they wanted to do it themselves.

Yet you supported Kasich who was a banker that worked for Lehman Brothers' investment banking division as a managing director, in Columbus, Ohio. He remained at Lehman Brothers until it declared bankruptcy in 2008.

Not trying to lie bro. I thought I remember you saying Kasich was a awesome candidate for President. That sounds like support to me. Now if you want me to sit here and lie.... I am tall, dark, handsome, smart, funny, and well hung.

Trump's Labor pick once said CA immigrants are better employees than Midwest Americans

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/trumps-labor-pick-once-said-162203301.html

Donald Trump 's choice to head the Labor Department is an outspoken immigration supporter whose views seem to clash with the president-elect.

With the announcement Thursday that Trump will nominate Andrew Puzder came speculation — and grumbling — that he would favor an open-border policy that would clash with the hard-line talk his potential boss espoused on the campaign trail.

An op-ed piece Puzder authored in The Wall Street Journal last year helped crystallize his views on the subject. He counseled Republican presidential candidates to come up with a realistic vision of how to deal with immigration, including the 11 million undocumented workers already in the country.

"The GOP needs to end the family drama and resolve the policy dispute, not least because it is the right thing to do in every sense — economically, politically and morally," he wrote.

While calling for strong borders and penalties for those entering the U.S. illegally, he also advocated for a vigorous process that does not lock out those from other parts of the world.

"The best way to protect American workers is to generate economic growth," he wrote. "This is not synonymous with aggressively restricting immigration."

Puzder supported a "path to legal status" that would be "short of citizenship" so long as the undocumented are "willing to accept responsibility for their actions and take their consequences." That path would include passing a background check, paying a fine and learning English, among other measures.

"Every option should be on the table, except amnesty, which forgives illegal conduct. It isn't amnesty if immigrants admit wrongdoing and accept punishment," he said.

That's not all Puzder has said on the subject.

At an American Enterprise Institute conference in 2013, the CEO of CKE Restaurants, parent of Hardee's and Carl's Jr., riffed on the virtues of low-skilled immigrants and backed immigration reform.

"Our Hardee's restaurant operators in the Midwest and the Southeast often use the labor force in California as an example of what they would like their labor force to be," he said then.

"They're very hardworking, dedicated, creative people that really appreciate the fact they have a job," Puzder said. "Whereas in other parts of the country you often get people that are saying, 'I can't believe I have to work this job,' with the immigration population you always have the, 'Thank God I have this job' kind of attitude. So you end up with a real different feeling."

Puzder also questioned efforts to step up the size of the border patrol, saying the focus should be more on efforts to "spur economic growth" through a sensible "rational, enforceable, practical immigration policy."

Puzder's potential nomination drew rage from both sides of the political aisle.

Conservative flamethrower and ardent Trump supporter Ann Coulter ripped the pick as anti-American worker:

So did the liberal lion, Sen. Elizabeth Warren , a Massachusetts Democrat:

For his part, Trump promised that Puzder would fight for workers and businesses alike. At a post-election rally earlier this week, Trump himself vowed his administration will bring in "hundreds of thousands" of legal immigrants.

Puzder "will save small businesses from the crushing burdens of unnecessary regulations that are stunting job growth and suppressing wages," Trump said in a statement that also noted that he and Puzder agree that "the right government policies can result in more jobs and better wages for the American worker."

In a July 2014 op-ed for CNBC, Puzder argued against a mandated minimum-wage increase on the grounds that they reduce entry-level job opportunities for young workers and minorities.

Lol, side note: it's funny how Ann coulter has done a complete 180 on trump now that she's seen his cabinet hires.

Anyway, dude has some very interesting comments about immigrants compare to American workers.

Boy oh boy.

Ok, now I finally understand what "take our country back" means.

It means for the corporations to take the country back. Makes so much sense now.

Trump picks Exxon CEO Tillerson for secretary of State: report

http://thehill.com/homenews/administrati...of-state-report

President-elect Donald Trump has selected Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his nominee for secretary of State, NBC News reported Saturday.

Tillerson had reportedly jumped to the front of the pack of candidates in recent days, despite not being mentioned on shortlists as recently as last week.
Critics have already called into question Tillerson’s ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Tillerson negotiated an energy partnership with Putin in 2011 that the Russian president said could be worth $500 billion.

The following year, Tillerson received the Russian Order of Friendship, one of the highest awards the country bestows upon foreign nationals.

Reuters reported earlier this year that the Exxon Mobil deal with Russia had been put on hold due to sanctions levied against the Kremlin for its annexation of Crimea in 2014. The company has said it intends to resume the deal after sanctions are lifted — a process that Tillerson could help expedite as secretary of State.

NBC's Andrea Mitchell said that two sources informed her that Tillerson's selection is planned to be announced sometime next week. She also reported that former Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton, a neoconservative firebrand, would be tapped to be Tillerson's deputy at State.

The selection of the Putin ally comes just hours after the Washington Post reported that the CIA had assessed that Russia had interfered in the U.S. election in an effort to help Trump get to the White House.

Trump pushed back on the report with an attack on the CIA. An unattributed statement from his transition team said of the agency, "These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction."

Or take a step back and look at it...

It said Tillerson helped arrange an energy deal w/ Russia... I'd assume while he was working for Exxon right? I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with an energy company working out an energy deal?

Sounds like Russia got a good deal and presumably Exxon did too... so unless one can point to who got screwed at the expense of Russia coming out on top like Hillary helping to sell our Uranium to them... it sounds like Tillerson is good at his job. Why is that a bad thing?

On top of that, Bolton doesn't strike me as someone who is cozy with Russia... why would you appoint someone like that as Deputy?

It is possible to hire someone for their abilities and not their ideology. We didn't hire Hue Jackson, Sashi, or DePo because they are die hard Browns fans.

That's exactly what I've been thinking.

Especially because Devil was one of the guys on this board complaining about Hillary being bought off by Wall Street, yet turns around and tries to defend this nonsense.

Devil, he's suppose to be the Secretary of State, not the secretary of striking oil deals with Russia.

But you know what? I'm not even surprised. Y'all want the government to be ran like a business so much, where here you go.

The corporations now directly control the government. This is exactly what we warned y'all about, yet this is exactly why you guys voted for Trump.

So if you're a ok with corporations running everything, then have it at bro. I don't want to hear a word out of you or the rest of these conservatives when crap starts going south.

I don't care how bad the country tanks. You better own it, and vote for trump in 2020 again.

What's the spin?

Explain what it is about the deal Tillerson brokered that is so detrimental. It may be a bad deal. I don't know. But the article and you are insinuating that there is something nefarious going on or there's some hypocritical conflict of interest involved.

I'm just curious as to how you arrive to that conclusion.

And yes it would be different with Hillary.

Tillerson as a private employee, paid to represent the interests of his private company brokered an energy deal.

Hillary while Sec of State, a public employee, paid to represent the interests of the U.S., brokered a private deal for gain where by another super power, not exactly friendly to us I might ad, gained a significant amount of a strategic resource in regards to national security.

It more has to do with exxon claiming to lose a billion dollars last year because of the sanctions on Russia because of Ukraine. It now appears to both, Republicans and Democrats in Congress, that Trump will probably want to overturn the executive actions against Russia. Which is why some house Republicans are trying to make the sanctions come from Congress instead.

I think that people are critical of this because it means that Trump will get walked all over by Russia.

I'll say something positive about Trump.

He did put Guiliani on any cabinet positions.

Do you guys even know what the Sec of State's job is?

I'm asking that rhetorically because I respect you guys enough to not be so insulting but c'mon dude.

The man has held a position in the private sector where he gained experience representing the interests of a large global organization brokering deals with high level foreign officials.

Hmm.. Sec of State... official representing U.S. interests (a global power) dealing with high ranking foreign officials.

poke

As for Hillary's ties to Wall Street, I don't recall saying much because I didn't care where she got her money from. I was fine with her being a hypocrit because it helped lose her the election.. so there's that.

And hell yes I'd rather our gov't be run like a business. I'm not such a sad sack that I need the gov't to be my friend. I don't make much money so when I'm forced to give up a sizable portion in taxes, I want to see that it's being put to good use and is producing results. When we have to make the decision to go to war or not go, I want a man like Gen. Mattis making his decisions based off reality, not some la la land utopia from the dreams of a community organizer.

Personally I want people in gov't who want to maximize the profit potential of America instead telling us that a less than 2% GDP is "good".

See, the best thing about having bottom line types of people in office is that I'm not married to them like I would be if they were there for ideological reasons. If the economy 4yrs from now is in the dumper because of his policies you'll find me right there with you looking for someone different to vote in. Though I don't suspect we'll be looking at the same candidate lol

As for Sec of State... if you want experience, I'd be totally cool if Condi Rice came back and pulled a second stint.
