I want to first state, thank you for the thoughts and prayers. This isn't in the same universe as what some of you guys are dealing with / have dealt with. My pain is very minor (it's more of an irritant to be honest). It's why I've been reluctant to discuss it. However, Bell's Palsy absolutely sucks. It's easily the most difficult disease I've ever dealt with. It has been difficult eating, drinking, sleeping, talking, smiling, and even laughing. It is NOT life threatening, but it has no cure.
Second, the reason I am posting this thread now is because I had my first positive breakthrough in weeks. It's not much, but I can slightly move my eyebrows and mouth on the paralyzed side. This condition is extremely frustrating because I've had to cancel interviews due to being unable to speak coherently. However, I'm fully confident it will be 80% healed in 2-3 months. Full recovery will probably be 4-6 months.
Get well bro. and keep fighting through it. good luck.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

I could send you some naked pictures of myself. That's sure to make you laugh. However it would making eating, drinking, sleeping, talking, and smiling much more difficult.
P.S. Don't give GM your address or email address ..... because, knowing him, he will send you some of the things he suggested ..... and while that may scare you well, I'm not sure it's worth it.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
I went through this a few years back. It was quite frustrating. At first I thought I had a minor stroke and it scared the hell out of me! I just woke up that way one morning.
It did take a couple of months until I fully recovered. I certainly understand what you are going through. Positive thoughts and prayers are with you Bud.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I went through this yrs. ago. Went to the Dr. and he said smile, I did, and he said bells palsy. Nothing you can do, It will go away. Took me about 3-4 weeks and it was gone. I'm surprised you have had this as long as you have. It will get better. Hang in there.

I want to do it as a Cleveland Brown because that's who I am.”
I had a different variation of bells palsy and mine lasted 6 months before I was back to normal. I had to wear an eyepatch for the first few weeks because I could not close my eye.
It will get better, just remember after its over smile a lot.
Sorry for the bad news, happy with "breakthrough"! My prayers for an accelerating recovery. Had this some years back. Took about two months. Scary as all get out. Diagnosed in ER. It is a scary issue.
Keep calm and carry on. Looking back, I was glad to be better. I noticed that I focused more on stuff I did without thinking that I just took for granted. Good luck, candyman!
