I think you do have a good point there. I was thinking about that earlier this year in regards to our special teams.

We cut a bunch of our better special team's players to keep the rookies that the new FO drafted. The new guys aren't nearly as good on special teams as the guys we let go. And yes, Bademosi was one of those guys. He wasn't very good in the secondary, but he was good on special teams.

This Carrie Underwood SNF intro isn't very good.
And we've got bigger problems than our ST. Yeah Schwartz, losing him wasn't good but Bademosi?
lol

#1 Start by getting Phil Dawson back, that would be the most logical thing to do. ooo I still don't understand why he's not on the team anymore.

watching the Dallas / Tampa game.. seeing fans cheering because they have a real meaning to cheer for... With a rookie QB & RB

Then I hear Browns fan wanting to cheer for the first win... what a pathetic meaningless feeling I get... It really makes me bummed..

If the Browns do win a game this season... I won't even give a damn.... sad frown

the browns have lessened my interest in the NFL significantly ... i'm more apathetic now than ever ... I honestly don't even watch the games anymore. Maybe a series here or there

He wanted to play for a winning team as Gipson did.

Dak played well last night. Close game with the Bucs.

Saw a lot of ex-Browns playing. Travis caught a bomb from Rivers. Norwood made some mistakes for Denver. Didn't see Atlanta but we all know that Gabriel and Mack are there. Chiefs have Schwarts. Redskins with Lava Man. Ward made a bonehead move against Pats yesterday. Dansby with the Bengals. Rainer with Giants as a returner???

So Gilberts HC got fired yesterday, he must feel at home. Skrine not having a great year with the Jets.
Hoyer on the bench or IR with Chicago?

Sheard and Mingo on the Pats...one starts again the other making plays on special teams.

I'm sure there are more out there. Gone are the days that when we threw guys out their career was over.

What to do with our crappy season. Get depressed? well for several hours then I just come to reality that we got to kick ass next year!!

https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-10-worst-performances-from-sundays-nfl-week-15-action/

3. Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
The mini Wentz revival this season was short-lived, and this may have been the worst game of his season so far. Wentz completed just 52.4 percent of his passes, and while for the season, his passer rating when pressured drops into the 30s from one in the 90s when kept clean, in this game it plummeted to just 8.3 when the heat was applied, and he completed passes for just 24 yards on those plays. Games like this make the highs of his season seem a long way away.

The draft slot keeps getting better and better.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Definitely glad to see Wentz falling off and the "we should have drafted him rather than traded the #2" talk now being silenced. Not saying our 0-14 record is anything to admire or boast about but, the Wentz love in those early weeks was so freakin' premature. Sure, the dude may still be a stud but, we may also now be seeing the true Wentz.

Dak too looks great but, he also just dumps off short passes. Certainly no discredit to him, Elliott or their 12-2 record but, they rely on the run because of their O-line. If we had their Oline Kessler/RG3, Duke and Crow would also be doing amazing.

Yeah giving up a #2 overall pick for a #6 overall pick is always so much better isn't it?

As it stands, #1 and #6 isn't too shabby. Now....if they can hit homeruns on these guys (in fact the top 4 or 5 picks need to be out of the ballpark) it could be franchise changing/defining.

Drafting the right guys is the big "if"....

Yeah, "IF" rofl The more I look at the Browns 2016 draft trades the uglier it gets. And the only position the FO didn't really address in the draft was at RB. Golly gee wiz lookie here...we passed on the best player available at #2, a RB named "Zeke" Elliott and he's now the best rusher in the league and pretty much a shoe in for rookie of the year.

Zeke has been awesome but, don't fool yourself and think that he would be having a similar bust out same rookie season in Cleveland behind our Oline.

Dallas' O-line has helped both Zeke and Dak tremendously and Zeke's success has also helped remove pressure from Dak.

That's the key, performing well for better teams. What might they be doing here? Possibly just as well if our team was talent equal/QB equal as those better teams. Otherwise, with our current roster/QB's they'd likely be struggling like every WR we currently have.

I could be wrong but I think Pryor and Coleman would equal or out-shine Gabe and Bengi if we had a QB who could throw a football in their vicinity.

Would Payton and Louis outshine those two?

I see comments like "those players wouldn't be doing as well here" as some sort of defense for the moves the FO has made. I don't get it. Do we not want good players because they won't do as well here? That makes no sense to me.

No, it just means that you can't transcribe their exact statistics to our team because of the varying differences in the talent around them.

I think 5 to 10 for Haslem is a good sentence.

Did any of you watch any of the Steeler/Bengal game? The Bengals have to be the dirtiest team in the league. They were baiting the Steelers the entire game. After the whistle hits. Talking trash. Tearing towels. For the most part, the Steelers ignored them and just beat them where it really counts........on the scoreboard.

They might be dirty, but at least they aren't winless.

I don't think Payton and Lewis would do it but I do think Higgins and Coleman could if we had a QB.

My response was not some sort of defense for the moves the FO has made, though I believe they can make whatever moves they wish. If we could bring in a Jimmy G here, as you agree with, I heartily think the guys we have could work out well.

How does Marvin Lewis keep his job? The Bengals have a lot of talent, but they are one of the most undisciplined teams I have ever seen.
