Too many damn bowl games. Most are trash. I watched some of the Houston bowl game, but that's been it.

When is the first good bowl game going to be played?

I caught a score yesterday, where the winning team finished at 7-6.and the loser at 6-7.

I guess that as long as we watch them, they'll keep plying them.

I'd say the first Bowl game that will excite the average college football fan is this Thursday night:

TTUN vs. Florida State in the Orange Bowl

TTUN is a 6 1/2 favorite.

JC: Figured it was college football at least,

But my UConn Huskies just hired Randy Edsall again. I'm excited about that. He brought the best of times to my Huskies, and while I liked our ex-HC Diaco (much more than Paul Pasquerelli), Edsall IMO is a better coach.

We'll never be a superstar program, but Edsall gets the best out of okay talent.

I always wonder had he not gone to Maryland if Conn would have gotten to the ACC. Our football program peaked when we went to the Fiesta Bowl, and then Edsall leaves, Pasquerelli comes in, changes the whole offense, the team becomes garbage, and the conferences re-align right at the worst possible moment.

When re-allignment was being discussed, I was losing sleep. I saw a game of musical chairs that we set ourselves up to lose. And I was right. Hopefully Edsall can bring our football back to mediocrity so that we can get ourselves in one of these conferences

This Canes game is underwhelming, but there's a few prospects playing. Orlovsky had to pull WVU's head coach back as Holsgren was about to charge him. Not every day to see that.

You go to get groceries and next thing you know, the Canes took the game over. I must have missed a lot. Kaaya sucks though. He's getting helped out a lot by the refs and his WR's. Anyone know how Orlovsky is doing?

Kinda annoyed that every Bowl game thus far is on ESPN. I cut the cord on cable a couple years ago and don't regret it until times like now.

Oh well, guess I will need to buy a 6 pack and invite myself to a friends house.

I watched the Texas A&M game, which was my first time seeing Garrett play. Interesting that KState hardly ever ran towards Garrett's side. However, when Garrett went off to get a new contact lens in they repeatedly ran at that side. Tells you how much they respect him and were concerned about his presence.

He is definitely fast and was pressuring on several plays. Because they tried to avoid him his best play was probably the blocked extra point.

Now, there is proof positive that Garrett stinks and will be a bust in the NFL.

Vers, have you watched Garrett? I don't think you have. He'll be a cornerstone piece for any franchise he's drafted by. He's going to be amazing. Please don't besmirch his name when you haven't even watched him.

There were a couple run plays garrett could've had a bigger impact on. I'm not sure I can fault him for them though. I don't think I saw one go outside or right at him so he did a good job of containment.

As a #1 prospect you'd like to see him fight through his block a make the play himself but it seemed designed that he either set the edge or crash down hard and disrupt. I mean that's the way any defense usually works but their Dt and MLB did terrible jobs of filling their gaps. Huge runs all night.

Tonight’s Orange Bowl will be one of the biggest games of the year for me.

Capital One Orange Bowl
No. 6 Michigan vs. No. 11 Florida State
8 p.m., ESPN
Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Fla.

I get to scream and yell and relax as I don’t have the emotional investment I will have for the Buckeye game.

...vs...

I hope Michigan rolls the Seminoles.

When The Wolverines play Ohio State my yell is: “BLOW GOO!!!”

Man, I would love to see this guy in a Browns uniform next season.

He'd be an instant upgrade to the team.

I take back everything I said. I was wrong.

Jabrill Peppers sucks.

A surprising lack of character.

I have to imagine his stock is dropping.

Peppers is watching the game from the players lounge. I'm sure his agent told him not to be on the sideline (the cameras would have been on him all game).

1) If he cared about the team, he'd at the very least be out there,
2) I bet he makes a "full recovery" as soon as he needs to,
3) I suspect this cancer will infect the entire Michigan team,
4) If it were my choice, I wouldn't draft him in any round.

I'm disappointed he's not playing and I don't like Michigan. I actually feel sorry for Michigan fans.

With all due respect..

If he had an "agent" at this point in time, then he would be ineligible. And wouldn't be allowed to even suit up to give it a go.

Either way I didn't / don't want to draft him.

Nope

From Darren Rovell on Twitter..... "Jake Butt took out $4M in total disability insurance. Took out $2M in loss of value insurance, would start collecting after Rd 2."

Peppers was crying that he couldn't play.

Either way, this is why I don't blame guys for not wanting to play in bowl games. The rehab alone makes it not worth it.

great game between michigan and FSU

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
