I really like Mike Williams of Clemson. He's a straight up beast.

At #2 it puts in the perfect position to draft Jonathan Allen smile

What? That's crazy talk.

Winning a game was sooo stupid, we might as well just forfeit our first pick. Everyone knows only the #1 overall pick ever becomes a good player..

Al Davis draft picks are not acceptable as valid arguments!

How weird is it that the Browns win #1, and the Niners keep us in the #1 spot by winning their 2nd shortly thereafter?

I won't rule this guy out at pick 10.

Have you watched Corey Davis out of WMU? He's been the stand out player there for two years. I would rank his body control up there with Williams and I believe he's the better WR over all.

I'm a huge fan of Corey. However, I think even Taywan Taylor might be better. Then again, Taywan is my #1 WR. It blows my mind when I see how low other sites rank him.

I like Williams a lot. The best thing about him is how he "high-points" the ball. Guys who do that are extremely hard to stop and will always be valued in the NFL!

I like Williams, but I feel like he'd get the Kearse OPI treatment if he played here. He likes to push off to create separation. A lot of receivers do, but he's pretty blatant about it. It's not a big deal, though.

Not sure if I'd draft him due to how many young WRs we already have and our other needs, but he'll be a player.

Mike Williams

Big, strong dude. Can highpoint and has above average body control to adjust to the ball and win contested catches. I would like to see him separate more though.

What issue do you have with his size? (nfldraftscout lists him a 6'-190)

He has a slim frame; more the size of a CB.

I see what you mean in a general sense but Sanders looks about the same as most other Safety prospects to me...I guess I don't know what you mean when you say his size is an issue*shrugs*

The FS that nfldraftscout rates at the top is Marcus Williams 6'-195

Just for comparison sake, tashaun gipson is 5-11, 210, as of right now.

Not sure his weight coming out of college.

I feel like most safeties in the league are 200+ lbs... Sanders has a thin frame for a safety, even if its at free safety.

I wont hold it against him tho, bc he's a Georgia boy smile

He'll probably do a post season cycle of HGH and he'll be in the 200 range by start of training camp.

I'm not a fan of Sanders. Like you said, he has a small frame. He's weak and not a good tackler. I'd be surprised if he goes before round 5.

I'm watching Landry of BC. Is Myles Garrett the only premier guy who goes against opposing teams LTs every play? I've seen a TON of big name guys go against RTs.

For the people who want chad kelly

Quote:
Kelly also needs to check his ego and clean up his off-the-field issues, too. He has had problems such as yelling at Clemson fans - while a Clemson student - in the stadium parking lot after a fender bender, getting arrested for a bar fight that involved threatening a mass shooting, running onto the field at his brother's high school game, trash-talking teammates on twitter, pursuing porn stars on twitter, creating a self-loving rap song; the list goes on with "Swag" Kelly.

Wow. It's almost as if we had a QB with that type of personality before or something.

Good thing we have three fourth round picks and no one is advocating we pick him at 22. Kid has Moxy and it seems to extend further than his own ego.

This may sound were, but I'm not interested in any 4th round QBs.

I don't want any more "projects" (yes I know they are all projects)

I don't want a guy that we have to sit and "develop"

I'm not saying don't draft a QB at all.

What I'm saying is, that if we like a QB. He better be ready to play. Because I want "Our Guy" out there.

And most likely, he'll end up playing by week 6 anyways.. So lets just get that over with..

See, that's the problem - or part of it. All of our "project" qb's are thrown into the game weeks after the season starts. (or so it seems). Who's the last project qb that wasn't tossed in in his first year?

And I understand, when qb 1 and qb 2 are injured and can't play, it's next man up.......but dang.

Well I guess you don't want to draft any QB's in this years draft.

I haven't seen much about Reuben Foster on here. He seems like he is one of the surest things in the draft. I'd definitely take him with our second first round pick.

You guys can tell me to pound sand and not believe me, but somebody I know that works for the LSU athletic department told me some unflattering things about Fournette.

LSU wanted him out. He basically "checked out" in August. Coach Ed Orgeron wanted him gone. He was "late to meetings" and "got into it with coaches." He has wanted out of college since his sophomore year. It's similar to things I've heard about Malik McDowell.

Don't be surprised when you guys start hearing similar rumors in a few months.

I don't blame him. I love how these schools keep telling their kids the program is a 'business' when they fire their head coach, but then lash out at those kids for trying to make business decisions. That'd be great if he could skip to the second round.

I have actually made a couple of posts about how I don't want any part of Fournette. Great running talent. Not a three-down back and his dedication, loyalty, and want-to are huge question marks. I would not draft the guy before round 3, which basically means I wouldn't draft him because some dumb-ass team will take him in round 1.

I like Crow and Duke.. two humble guys who can get the job done. No point in wasting a 1st round pick on this guy.

I am interested in hearing more about Malik McDowell though. We need team guys, and if he isnt one... Might need to pass.

After Malik got banged up, he didn't want to play because he was afraid of reinjuring himself. He wasn't going 100%. It wasn't as bad as Fournette, but he did take plays off this year. Coaches would call him out for it. However, it was more of a health thing.

this was a small snippet from walterfootball.com about McDowell. I take a lot of what they say with a grain of salt, but just thought I'd share.

Quote:
In speaking with teammates of McDowell, they say he is generally a good guy and a hard worker. He is tough to block in practice and is a smart defender; however, some players didn't like him because he tried to embarrass them in practice. That could come up in his pre-draft interviews with NFL teams.

This doesn't surprise me. He's always been a guy with a chip on his shoulder. I think he just played scared this year after he got banged up.

He is the guy I have long wanted with our 2nd first rounder. I am just afraid that he'll be gone by then.

The only other guy I would take then, if he declares and was available, would be Malik Hooker.

However, I love the idea of upgrading 2 levels of the front 7 in a big way. Garrett and Foster would do that. Man, I almost get giddy thinking about it. wink LOL
