For example, some cars have a ton of features for safety, such as lane assist and lane departure warning. So you can be on the highway, the car has the sensors for the lane lines, and if the car moves out of the lane, the car will gently correct itself back into the lane.
Or the distance cruise control, or better known as stop & go active driving assist. So let's sayyou set the cruise control to like, 85 or so, right? Well it has radar so that when there's a car you're approaching in front of you, your vehicle will slow down to the front cars speed until they move out of the lane, and then will automatically go back to your original speed setting.
A lot of these auto pilot features are already on the market, depending on the model, of course.
I mean bmws have the option for night time assistant. So your a Nav screen turns into essentially night vision goggles, while also having pedestrian sensors to automatically stop the car if a person runs into the middle of the street.
But that's the thing. All those can be turned on and off by you, the user. My BMW had heads up display, and it showed the speed limit of the street or highway I was on, and I could choose whether to set the cruise control to the speed limit or faster/slower.
And because it can be turned on and off, that's why you will always have to pay for insurance. If you get into an accident, and the safety features were off, well guess who's liable?
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Let me get this straight. You all know how often your phone has a glitch, or your laptop, or your PC. Yet you want to get in a car and trust it to send you flying down the highway in full control of your life.
FDA unveils cybersecurity guidelines to stop your pacemaker from getting hacked
The FDA has been warning the health care industry for years that medical devices are vulnerable to cyberattacks. It's a legitimate concern: researchers have managed to remotely tamper with devices like defibrillators, pacemakers, and insulin pumps.
Amazon has been awarded a patent for a giant flying warehouse that acts as a launchpad for drones to deliver items within minutes.
The U.S. e-commerce giant described plans for an "airborne fulfillment center" (AFC) such as an airship or blimp that would float at an altitude of around 45,000. The airship will be stocked with lots of products.
When a customer places an order, a drone or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) will fly down and deliver the package. Amazon insists that this would require little power because the drone would be gliding down rather than having to take off and land.
As much as I love Elon Musk, the Tesla still has some serious problems with its autonomous cars due to their design. I'm not sure that having sonar go through their body panels, with no hood attachment, is a safe way to have self-driving vehicles. It could lead to quite a few accidents, as Tesla already knows.
What a fantastic accomplishment. Great,I'll get one of these, then I won't have to drag that old women out with me when I go drinking. Oh,the enjoyment of not having to listen to her bitch and moan all night home long, just so I have a safe ride home. I wonder what else this thing will do? Maybe I can rid of her altogether.

well there are a few automakers out there trying to develop autonomous cars and none of them have it fixed yet so it's not just Tesla.
The biggest problem with Teslas or any fully electric cars is the anxiety it brings out. Do I have enough Juice to get me to the next charging station? I love the idea of electric cars, but that's the think that gets me most
