I also argued that we if we loss this game, there's gonna be a lot of backlash.

And sure enough. Whether they would had one or not is irrelevant.

Penn state deserved to be in over us. They beat us, and won the conference. Remember, winning the conference was the sole reason why we got in the first time. That was the committee's reasoning.

We won't be getting into the playoffs anymore without winning the conference. The committee won't be making that sort of decision again.

Yeah, I'm sure PSU fans travel almost as well as tOSU fans do.

I might ask Cardale Jones to come back for another year (if I didn't want him on the Browns).

This game reminded me of the USC beat down of Nebraska in the BCS. Again, this proves if you do not win your conference you should not play in the playoffs. Shame of the committee for going against the system they set up.

Hopefully Urban looks at the autopsy report from this game and learns. He needs to make some serious changes.

What makes it worse is that I know they were capable of playing and exciting a lot better than that, players and coaches both.

You're right.

They managed to score a touchdown in their game.

Congrats to Clemson. They deserved to win. They out played us in every way.

I will say that I was shocked at how inaccurate Watson was in this game, though. That kind of makes it worse though.

I will say this- 2017 always was going to be THE year in my opinion. JT needs to go and our coaches need upgraded. However, the talent level is going to be so tremendous it could overcome those 2 things next year.

One last comment for the night, our future QBs will be better than JT. Dwayne Haskins and Tate Martell will be beasts. Tate played for the best high school team in America. He had an insane stat line of 60 TDs and 1 INT. He played against the best high school teams in the country from California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and etc. He wants to be an early enrollee too.

I fell asleep in the chair in my office (not unusual) and just woke up a few minutes ago.

That wasn't even close. Clemson destroyed the Bucs. We didn't even score? I don't even remember the last time OSU couldn't even score 3 points. I might have to look that up.

ok......v Michigan, 1993, 28-0.

Clemson played incredible, but there's zero chance that was the best defense we've faced in 23 years. OSU really crapped the bed last night. A change I would make ASAP is to stop rotating 7 WRs in a game. James Clark, Paris Campbell, and a few others completely suck and should never see the field. Torrance Gibson needs snaps. Also, Mike Webers job isn't safe next year. Antonio Williams should see some carries. Other than Jamarco and Price, NOBODY on the o-line has a spot reserved. The QB spot is an open competition. I don't care if JT gives great speeches. That's all he does.

We are looking to bring in Kevin Wilson from Indiana. He's a guy I really like, but I'm not sure what all went down at Indiana.

j/c:

I just love how all the Ohio State haters are piling on. Real gutty. But, they defend the Browns. Real smart. And the BS about winning the only reason Ohio State got into the first playoff is exactly that--BS!

A few thoughts about this humiliating loss:

--I was talking to Candy before the game on one thread and I said our OL vs their front seven was my biggest concern. It proved to be a mismatch. Our OL is really weak.

--JT has really regressed. He is very inaccurate and processes information way too slow.

--We need a new OC. Why not run the ball between the tackles? Heck, we ran there on one first down and got 5 yards. We then attempt to throw and go backwards. I hate firing coaches, but we need to upgrade the OC!

--I thought the D played okay. They just wore down because of all the 3 and outs.

--Hooker is going to make some NFL team very happy. I doubt if the Brown's FO is smart enough to draft him, though.

--Do people still want to draft Watson?

I joined the conversation late, I guess I missed the piling on part.

I agree about hitting the middle. Clemson is a pretty fast team. Pounding the middle takes away a good deal of that speed. OSU has speed as well, but if you are simply running to a draw outside, it seems to me you need to hammer it forward a lot more.

Do teams even run counter plays anymore? I always thought that to be a nice way to slow down an aggressive D.

Two things about the Buckeyes that I see - one, virtually no vertical passing game - where (and who) are the receivers? Two, they really miss having a banger at RB. Samuels is really more of a Percy Harvin type, and nobody will ever confuse Mike Weber with the likes of Ezekiel Elliott, Carlos Hyde, Beanie Wells, Eddie George, Keith Byars ... etc. Those guys were all plenty fast, but they also had enough heft (230 lbs) to bring the pain if you tried to tackle them one-on-one. Compared to them, these guys are scatbacks. When you're Ohio State, you need a bellcow. Maybe they have one in the pipeline - I hope so.

lol. What does that even mean?

I hate Ohio State - I love the Browns... the Buckeyes lost in an epic way... Do you expect "haters" to just stay quiet and twiddle their thumbs?

What do the Browns have to do with anything?

lol

There is a reason why the playoffs should have the 4 best conference champions out of the 5 power 5 conferences, Letting a team that could not win their conference in was a joke. And, that is how the game turned out.

I think Penn State would have had their butt kick just as badly.

Having said that, I would have put PSU in over tOSU
I said that at time

After watching that beat down I'm almost embarrassed to say that I'm a OSU fan. They need to get a real OC. Sometimes you got to just line up and play football and get rid of all the gimmicky plays.

Do you admit you are a Brown's fan?

Ohio State was in the final four. That is like playing in the conference championship in the NFL. Brown's fans bashing Ohio State is ludicrous.

Browns fans and Buckeye fans are not mutually inclusive.

Yes, the Buckeyes made it to the final 4. They got embarrassed.

I'm not worried about OSU, but Urban needs to make some changes on the staff. I caution everyone to wait until the recruiting deadline passes. Getting rid of guys now would be equivalent of canning a GM the month before a draft. The guys we have recruited have spent years building relationships with our coaches.

What? No it isn't. Not all fans of the Browns still live in Ohio or went to OSU. Many, like myself, moved to other states and went to other schools.

Things can change. Woody was the coach when I left Ohio. I still root for the Bucs most of the time, but it isn't a passion anymore. I don't bash them, but I can't say I am a big fan any longer. I fell asleep at 10 zip. Woke up at 1:30 am. I wasn't upset or happy. I just like college football, and evidently last night wasn't OSU's best effort. Zero points can't be a best effort.
