Not ideal because he is a pretty good LG but what if we bring in one of those good guards and move Bitonio to RT?

Bitonio has had a few injuries. I wonder if moving him out to RT would decrease that by taking him out of the muck and playing him in more open space.

While you do make a good point all of the guys you mentioned are truly elite guys at their position with the exception of perhaps incognito(though he is in my opinion). It's those 2nd tier guys who become available let I don't want.

Anywho I agree, I doubt any big names make it out this year. Center is awful for FA hence why I think we need to take one in the 2nd. If we go off our FO moves already they could target an oft injured or previously thought dominant or highly touted draft prospect type.

With that said...thoughts on Kalil, Reiff, Menalik Watson? Those are the only slightly young tackles that could be available.

Nobody likes to talk about it bUT I think that's a logical point of view. Guards do have a higher rate of injury because of exactly that, Joel was a tackle and may have been in the NFL had we not had Schwartz. I personally prefer stronger run blockers in my OGs and he's more that athletic enough for RT.

I have been very disappointed w/Kalil.

I liked Reiff a lot coming out of college. He's been okay, but not as good as I thought.

I haven't followed the other guys enough to talk about them.

I like Ryan Schraeder from Atlanta. What do you think of him?

I'm actually not familiar with Schraeder but I just dug up that they resigned him for 5 years in November.

Watson will likely be resigned. Reiff could be an interesting RT candidate for us.

Also if for cap reasons CinCy let's Zeitler go I would Eric Steinbach him so fast. Let Greco play C and could even rotate bitonio to RT and hand LG to Drango. Pure wild speculation of course.

I think grabbing Zeitler and moving Greco to center would be a big upgrade for the line.

And yeah, Reiff is playing better at RT than LT. Let's keep an eye on him tonight.

I hope Cam Erving heals well, then we move on from him. So done watching that particular experiment.
