If you are a toolsy guy when it comes to QBs then you'll probably love Josh Allen. Holy hell does that kid have all the right stuff. Easily the most toolsy QB in the draft even above DeShone Kizer.
The kid has a rocket arm and great athletic ability. He explodes out of the pocket when he scrambles like getting shot out of a cannon.
Has all the physical tools a coach could as for but then its all down hill from there.
He either cannot or chooses not to take zip off his passes when it is needed. Inaccurate in the short and intermediate games mostly due to his inability to not throw a fast ball. Doesn't carry himself well when things are getting tough. Lacks composure and will lash out in the heat of the moment. Very un-leader like IMO. He also does this weird thing where he turns his back to contact when he has been corralled and NFL defenders will explode his kidneys or break his back. Will most definitely need to learn to slide.
One year starter at a semi small school.
Easily the most physically gifted QB in the class IMO but I would say mid 2nd to late 3rd because he is a complete and total project who IMO doesn't really have a great chance of reaching that full potential.

Sounds a whole lot like Derek Anderson.

Forgot to say this kid has taken snaps under center.

I'm a show me person more then a tell me person. I watched Wyoming but didn't focus on the offense.
What game/s are you watching?

If we're taking a 2-3rd round flyer I'd rather chance it on Luke Falk out of Wazzu. He put up huge numbers against better competition. Yes it was out of the spread but that's what we're being dealt from the college ranks anymore. Falk has the tools and size.

I think Deshaun Watson will be there at the top of the 2nd and I'm still not sure if we should take him even there.

Wyoming's coach is the guy who built the North Dakota State dynasty (Craig Bohl).

Lol, this guy only knows one throwing motion: Mach 3.
But that TD throw on the run to the back of the end zone? Wow, you cant throw that ball any better. That was on the money.

Do you have examples from those games of what you saw? Is this how it's going to be for every single prospect? I have to breakdown each and every individual highlight clip in detail? That's going to get very annoying very quickly on here. Here's an idea. Look up these prospects yourself if you choose.

I thought allen was a junior. Did he declare? I think he should stay for his senior season. Great arm but definitely needs polishing.
Btw - great pickup on him turning his back before hits. I hadn't noticed that but since it was mentioned I can't not see it. He's going to get himself hurt.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

Is that how you want it to be? Because that is not what I've asked for. Here's an idea. Look up these prospects yourself if you choose. Here's an idea. Look up these prospects yourself if you choose. Great idea! Thanks! Never thought of that.

The best teams he faced were Boise State and New Mexico. Actually, Wyoming played a decent amount of teams. In fact, I would argue they played stiffer competition than any team in the PAC 12. N.Illinois, San Diego State (x2), Nebraska, UNLV, BYU, Boise St., New Mex, Colorado St., E Michigan, Utah State, Nevada, Air Force, UC Davis. Sure, smaller schools (with exception to Nebraska) but, not bad at all. I am intrigued by the guy, but agree he may well be a project. But, many thought Dak was too. Not that I am comparing him at all I am just saying we just don't know what a player can do until they are put into the situation. Wyoming also run a "Pro-Style Offense", which may help prepare him.

DA never turned his back to anyone. I know Brown's fans hated him because they thought BQ was a god, but DA was one tough SOG.
I saw him go to a pile in the Buffalo blizzard game and grab a LBer by the shoulder pads and proceed to yank him off of a Brown's player and throw the dude to the ground. No BS. I was at the game.
Dude was tough as nails. He didn't turn his back to anyone.

He stunk up Cincinnati in a playoff-clinching game. Couch didn't, when we needed him to be clutch in Baltimore.

The question was about toughness. DA was a million times tougher than Timid.

And furthermore, Timid's stats in his best year never even came close to matching DA's best year.

Kid Allen didn't look bad at all.
Is that TE 88, Hollister coming out? He was impressive also.

Dude was tough as nails. He didn't turn his back to anyone. In hindsight, one could argue that we've done worse-than-him at QB since he left. Not that that's some glowing opinion of DA. Would we rather have him than RG3 or McCown? Arguable.

Back to post topic, kid definitely seems to have the skill set on film but coming out as a RD soph, I can't see him being picked high as folks may see too much of a project. He sticks around for another year or two and builds the resume though....could be interesting.
His back turn trait is WEIRD.

If DA can't go deep, he can't do much. Couch would have been a good QB had he came along later when the team was established. He had zero talent around him. This years 1-15 team was more talented that Couch's teams.

Totally disagree. He was brain dead. Couldn't read coverages to save his life. There were reasons why the team was ready to mutiny if Butch didn't name Holcomb the starter. It wasn't a "gut feeling." I knew a player on that team and a coach. Couch sucked butt!

I'm not pretending that Tim was an All-Pro but I think he was victimized by a really poor supporting cast and a line that made our current front 5 look like HOFers.

not bad but he takes a lot of unnecessary risks with his body and the football. He has a lot of zip on some of those balls and needs to learn a bit more touch on those shorter passes to make the balls more catchable. I could see Hue taking him in the 2nd or third if he fell that far.

I like this Allen kid. Great arm, quick release, has some legs. I'd take him if he also has the smarts.
Grossi loves him and thats good enough for me.
One more thing. Couch would have been a very good QB except for injuries and being drafted by the Browns
