My guess is that he did want to take a demotion to OL coach, assuming it was offered to him.

Keep an eye on South Florida next year to be the equivalent of Western Michigan. Quinton Flowers is a great player.

See that's the thing I don't think Dak's accuracy has improved rather the people that knocked him for his accuracy were wrong.

Universally there are some generic knocks that can be applied to any QB. Accuracy is one of them. And its easy to point out examples because even the best QBs are gonna miss anywhere between 30-40% of their throws.

The same prospect will have some draft media claiming prospect X isn't accurate and another will claim prospect X is accurate. Without quantifying those types of pans don't carry much weight with me. Its the difference between how many passes a QB misses vs the "norm" matters to me.

Imho don't think generic knocks that apply to all the prospects are worth mentioning.

Generic defenses aren't that great either.

His intermediate to deep accuracy wasn't very good his last year of college. Some of it could be attributable to his protection (possibly), but his overall completion percentage was lifted up by the short game.

Maybe you're right and he was great in college, yet mysteriously lasted till the 4th round in the draft for no good reason and he hasn't gotten any better. (I apologize if that was somewhat snappy, I've read too many of Vers' posts already today)

He has cleaner pockets on the Cowboys which allow him to be more consistent in his mechanics which has improved his deep accuracy. Better mechanics->Better accuracy->"Improvement"

Huh? There's an entire thread just breaking down the QBs. Game by game. Throw by throw with time stamps. You can apply that 'generic' label a lot of places. But when it comes to discussing a prospect, I'm not that guy. I think you know that.

How are you quantifying his accuracy in this regard?

Really? Is this what we're gonna do? Did I say he was great in college?

Let's not be disingenuous, if you didn't want to be snappy...you wouldn't be.

We can agree to disagree. You think Dak wasn't accurate in college and gained accuracy in the NFL.

I can tell you most NFL people don't think accuracy improves.

I think Dak didn't have the accuracy issues he was labeled with in college. He was just victim of generic knock that get applied to some of the spread/read-option QBs.

For example take Matt Waldmen, who I respect, but anyhow...

Quote:
Prescott is worryingly inaccurate on the majority of all his throws. He can only execute passes downfield when his receivers win at the point of attack consistently. He also struggles processing information quickly and making sound decisions in the pocket. The unifying theme with Prescott’s developmental arc is tied directly to his ball placement maladies.

Dak Prescott has trouble completing all types of passes.

He, like many, had Christian Hackenburg rated higher then Dak and the main knock against Dak by most was accuracy and system.

OSU is looking at 1 more kid and maybe a surprise on signing day. Thayer Munford would possibly be the last kid. A surprise could be James Robinson who's a current Florida commit.

Marvin Wilson to LSU. Jay Tufele to Utah.

Nebraska has been really good at getting kids from California. Don't know how they do it.
