Playstation 2. Don't get me wrong I loved the 3, and I love my 4, but the PS2 was such an amazing system and brought so many cool memories when I was a kid, playing with my buddies. I remember the first time we played Grand Theft Auto. I gave my system away to some of my wife's little cousins, but for some reasons I still have a bunch of games. I actually went through them the other day and there were so many that I wanted to play. I remember being obsessed with the original Star Wars Battlefront games.

I also miss CD's because it was fun to burn mix CD's and trade them with friends. You can sorta do the same thing now with playlists, but it just isn't the same. Burnt CD's are forever, lol.

Speaking of burning CD's......

I miss Limewire.

Lol. I downloaded every song I ever liked off of Limewire.

I remember the RIAA busting college kids and grannies for downloading music. It was in the news all the time constantly.

I miss live365.com I used to run some online radio stations on there. Then the government passed some laws to force royalties on internet radio which kind of crippled it, and I think eventually killed it. Too bad. There were some awesome internet radio stations on there.

I don't know about tech I miss but we used to have loads of fun when I was a kid back in the 70's playing that incredibly simple Star Wars Board Game.

Anyone remember the Odyssey 2? Or Intellivision? Those were cool consoles. I got an A in Basic Language in high school for making an Apple 2E choose two random spots on the screen and draw a line between them.

Keep making that For/Next Loop and the screen looks like a scribbled up mess, and I got an A for that.

I had a friend who had a game he created published in Antic Magazine on the Atari 400.

I wrote a program that scribbled.

I'd tell yo the name of the game, but it's got my old friends full name in the article. Don't want to compromise his personal information.

Heres's something that was fun, remember 51/4 Floppy Disks? All us nerds that had those 'pirated' games on them and the more we had the cooler we thought we were.

I loved the game Lode Runner.

Playing pirated games was my main hobby lol. Do you remember that ninja game for apple2e? I played that in study hall. And Pool Of Radiance, which needed 8 floppy disks.

TDK SA-X 90 cassette tapes: the 80's audiophile's 'portable music medium of choice.

I had an Atari when I was a kid. Activision's "Pitfall" was state of the art and so much fun.

And then my neighbor got an Intellivision and we thought that was out of this world.

I made so many tapes for friends and girlfriends. However, I tended to use Maxell XLII.

Mine too, I don't remember the ninja game, there were 150 levels on Lode Runner and I was determined to complete them, don't even remember if I did or not.

A friend of mine played a game called BileStoad. It was some kind of medieval fencing game.

Loved the text adventures too. Only name I remember is Zork but I know we played others as well.

Nintendo and Super Nintendo. I would play those for hours as a young kid ... Mario games.

Luckily, I just got both this past Christmas (yes, I'm 30 years old) ... they remade them

Not technology but, I miss decent music magazines. I used to read Creem and Hit Parader. Creem, in particular, was awesome. Lester Bangs was the man!

I also used to read the old "Eerie", "Creepy" and "Famous Monsters of Filmland" comics/magazines. Loved the illustrations the stories and my imagination would just run wild with those mags.

They were my go-to until TDK came on the scene.

I loved my subscriptions for years. They were the very best way to be an 'insider.' Every month, a little 'Christmas in my mailbox.'

From 91-97 I collected Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic audience bootlegs. I had hundreds of hours worth. Including most of the shows I attended. I just tossed the last of my collection except for those.
I now sit with hundreds of hours of CD audience bootlegs of the Grateful Dead, Panic, Trey Anistasio, Dave Matthews, moe., and many others in that genre. I'm torn what to with them. It seems such a waste to toss them.

I know a ton of folks who dumped their LP's in the 80's when CD's came online. Sold/trashcanned their turntables. 5 years later, they were cryin' the blues.

I'm still sitting on my 750 LP collection, with a killer audiophile TT. I'll be getting back to my in-depth listening when I retire... and my jams and rig will still be there.

My suggestion: hold on to them for now. If you find yourself questioning it again in 5 years, you can jettison them then.

If that becomes a thing, there's always E-Bay

I had lode runner on Commodore 64.

I found the ninja game! It was called Karateka. I played this so much at school.

Then there was a game I played at the library. I forget what it was called. But you had to shoot a bullet over a hill to hit an enemy on the other side of the hill. And take into account wind speed and angles and such. Whoever hit the other guy first wins.

If all you're looking for is an old school phone, check out their shop and you should be able to find one for well under a hundred bucks (that is to own the phone-- there are no more phone payments added in the bill for the actual phone on top of that.) They also have a wide range of smartphones of course.

Light to moderate users end up paying significantly less per month than they would with the more well known carriers. Most people can get their phone bill under $30/month. Heavy usage, especially heavy data usage, will push that higher.

If the game was messed up, you had to take the cartridge out, blow air on it, then put it back in the console and it will work.

Lifetime sonic fan because of it.

My dad has an amazing LP collection. I was raised on it. He's also got an old Marantz amplifier receiver. Those things are all I've asked for in his will.
I have a nice modern system now, but there's a warmth to old LPs played through an old Marantz. Find me some oldschool Bose 901s. Take me back in time.

I resisted on CDs until the early 90's. I think I may own 4000 or so LPs and CDs. Been collecting records since I was a kid and fell in love with KISS. I used to push my dad's lawn mower around the neighborhood, mow lawns, go to the record store. Come home and listen to my records. Man, I spent countless hours at Record Exchange in Cleveland Heights when I was a teenager! Record shopping and then down to the Cleveland Art Museum was always a fun weekend spent hanging with my girlfriend.

I also used to write record reviews when I was in the UK. Because I collect mainly 60's/70's rock I was contacted by the ex-European President of the Grateful Dead Fan Club. He offered me ALL his tapes for free as he wanted them to go to a good home. I drove to his house, gave him a really nice bottle of red and he gave me boxes and boxes of Dead tapes/shows. There must be 500 or more tapes from '65-95. Numerous old VHS concerts footage too.

I have an old Thorens TT, Pioneer tuner and Sansui speakers. All from the early 70's.

They used to call me Mr. Lode Runner because of how good I was at it. Another friend I had was part of a computer club after we graduated, I went with him one night and he showed me the Amiga, with this sphere bouncing back and forth in a box blew our minds at the graphics capabilities back then.

My dad had an Apple II in his office down in our basement and I used to play California Games on it quite a bit as a kid.

Man, I forgot all about that. It was amazing, because all you had to do was put in the code from either the TV Guide, or the newspaper program guide. It was so easy compared to the way it was before that.

I remember this little app, way back, that would allow you to get phone calls (messages) while you were on your dial up, slow as death internet. It was really cool, for the time. I think it was called Call Wave, or something like that.

Before the net, the only way to get Browns news for us out of towners was the Browns News Illustrated. I'd hang out by the mailbox waiting for that darn thing.
