Other thread was on page 10 so figured time to start a new one =)

OK. Lets pretend RG3 will still be our starting QB but that we want to increase draft stock for 2018 to grab a QB if we want one. To gain that extra first round ammo we have to sacrifice that #1 over spot so here goes....

NFL DRAFT GAME 2017Logged in as: RazorthornsLog Out
YOUR TEAM: CLEVELAND BROWNS
GAME OVER!
New Draft Home (Scores)

Your score is: 10051 (GRADE: B)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 6 (NYJ): Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee (A)
Round 1 Pick 13 (ARI): Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama (A-)
Round 2 Pick 5 (LAR): Ethan Pocic, C/OG, LSU (A)
Round 2 Pick 7 (NYJ): David Njoku, TE, Miami (Fla.) (A-)
Round 2 Pick 20: Marcus Williams, FS, Utah (A)
Round 3 Pick 1: Forrest Lamp, OG, Western Kentucky (B+)
Round 3 Pick 16 (MINN): Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee (B+)
Round 4 Pick 1: Anthony Walker Jr., ILB, Northwestern (B+)
Round 4 Pick 5 (LAR): Kendell Beckwith, ILB, LSU (B)
Round 4 Pick 13 (ARI): Chad Wheeler, OT, Southern California (B+)
Round 4 Pick 15 (MINN): David Sharpe, OG, Florida (A)
Round 5 Pick 5 (LAR): Patrick Mahomes II, QB, Texas Tech (A+)
Round 5 Pick 32: Davis Webb, QB, California (A)
Round 6 Pick 1: Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee (D-)

Your Future Picks:
2018 Round 1 Pick
2018 Round 1 Pick (NYJ)
2019 Round 1 Pick

We got us the next best DE, the best CB(which we NEEDED), The best Center and also best OG candidate with Ethan if Cam comes back strong ... either way its all good, either the best or second best TE of the draft, a very good FS upgrade, a possible monster upgrade at ILB, upgrade at the 3rd slot HB who will push both our starting HBs, some decent depth at OT and Guard(Lamp could be interesting)

ALso landed 3 QB prospects who could legitimately fight Kessler for a place on the team at 2nd and 3rd spot. MIght even replace RG3.

OK another crazy draft for you guys to ponder ... I traded back from 1. Then I traded UP from 12. Then I traded the rest of the picks to move up to 9.

Your score is: 10105 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 6 (NYJ): Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama (A+)
Round 1 Pick 7 (LAC): Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee (A)
Round 1 Pick 9 (CINN): Malik Hooker, FS, Ohio State (A+)

Your Future Picks:
2018 Round 1 Pick
2019 Round 1 Pick

-------------

Would it be worth our entire draft in 2017 TO land these 3 guaranteed impact players who start from day 1?

probably but I'd be extremely surprised if Allen lasts that long, and Hooker may not either.

OK Here is my official Craziest Draft Ever!!! It's so crazy I can't believe it even was possible in a game simulator!!!

Your score is: 11678 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 12: Malik Hooker, FS, Ohio State (A+)
Round 1 Pick 21 (DET): Jabrill Peppers, SS/OLB, Michigan (A)
Round 2 Pick 1: Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina (A+)
Round 2 Pick 3 (JAX): Ethan Pocic, C/OG, LSU (A)
Round 2 Pick 20: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama (A+)
Round 2 Pick 21 (DET): David Njoku, TE, Miami (Fla.) (A)
Round 3 Pick 1: Dion Dawkins, OT, Temple (A-)
Round 4 Pick 1: Kendell Beckwith, ILB, LSU (B-)
Round 5 Pick 32: Danny Isidora, OG, Miami (Fla.) (A)
Round 6 Pick 10 (PHI): Austin Rehkow, P, Idaho (A-)
Round 7 Pick 15 (MINN): Jake Elliott, K, Memphis (A)

Your Future Picks:
2018 Round 1 Pick
2018 Round 1 Pick (DET)
2018 Round 1 Pick (JAX)
2019 Round 1 Pick

------------------------------

We now have 3, fuggin 3!!! first round picks in 2018. That's insane all on its own but then to get the best FS, SS, C, QB, and the TOP 2 TE in the draft is just mind boggling!!!!!!!!!

Dion, Kendal, and Isidora could possibly turn into starters as well. Punter and kicker were just for points but could also become starters. A draft where every single player could be a starter AND we pick up 2 first round picks for 2018. I don't even know if it's possible to have a better draft =)

I wouldn't mind trading down to get another 1st next year to help us draft Sam Darnold. I'm going on record right now as being the 2018 Get the #1 Pick & Take Sam Darnold pimp.

This is a cool draft, with the exception of Mixon. The dude has serious talent, but I clicked before remembering he punched out a woman. Beyond that, thinking of Williams' D, I wanted some OLBs. Also got Allen & Humphrey. Took Trubisky and gave him some weapons, with a little help on the O-line, and another 1st next year.

Your score is: 10573 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 7 (LAC): Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama (A+)

Round 4 Pick 6 (LAC): Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma (A+)

I've probably said this numerous times, but THE guy I want on this team is Taywan Taylor from Western Kentucky. Not at #1 or even the first 2 rounds, but the kid is a future star.

My last first pick draft, honest....watched a little film on Willis out of KC state and if we don't end up getting a top tier edge rusher, I think he will do well in a front 4 of Ogbah, Allen, Shelton and himself. I think he ends up being a good 4-3 end in the NFL.

Peppers is the hybrid OLB/S Williams' seems to like using. He can also develop his backend play and fulfil that potential. Baker - great instincts, a really good football player.

Trub sits until he is properly ready. I think he could be the guy if we develop him correctly.

Feeney is probably as safe a pick as it gets. Mean, nasty, physical, and has shown he can play zone and man.

Douglas can play off, zone and man. Have created a separate thread for him but I think he has the tools to be a good DB.

Foreman becomes our bruiser.

Taylor - lot on the board seem to like him and from what I read, he could be good. Blind pick in all honesty.

Shaheen - again, based on reports, but he and DeValve could create all kinds of mismatches.

Watching the Pack/ Falcons game, we should draft an elite pass rush. Anything but an elite pass rush just ain't gonna cut it...

That is why we need to go Garrett and then the best safety or corner on the board.

I loved Dan Quinn when he was at Florida. I have ties to the Falcons and Titans because of where I live....about 100 miles from each. I have ties to the Bucs because after leaving Cleveland for the Tampa, St Pete area, Dad bought Bucs season tickets from the beginning, so I saw several to many games when McKay was the coach, and many after since my brother picked up the seats.

After the Browns, those are my 3 teams.

Go Falcons!

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Who should the Browns draft in 2017.

Today I think the Browns should go into this draft. They have an opportunity to improve the starting quarterback future by taking a high ranking quarterback.

They have an opportunity to improve the Tight end position by taking one of the top 5 tight ends in this draft.

I think given the current makeup of the team, the team should avoid adding to the offensive line, and should avoid adding to the cornerback position. Until later rounds. If any DB it should be a safety.

I also think they should continue to add multi use players in the pass rush, excluding the D tackle position.

Most of all I think that only players taken in the top 120 ish, will have much potential to improve the team. They can stockpile depth at those positions I'd ask them to avoid, with picks later than the top 120 ish.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

They had an update to that draft game today so its very annoying trying to readjust where to grab players at grrr.

Some nice drafts there today =)

To get a higher score don't be scared to trade in future first round picks so long as you can land an A+ pick.

That is what a FO has to deal with. We play these drat games knowing who is going to be available when. In the real NFL draft, you cannot predict that.

I'd love to get Chris Godwin in round 3. He's short, but he's a "jump ball" wide receiver. I'd gladly take him and Taywan Taylor in round 4-5. The rest of the draft can be spent on o-line and defense for all I care.

FL_Dawg,
Who do you think Tenn would trade up to #1 for and give up 2 #1 picks?

Just curious how that would play out.

The TE from Miami has been down graded and they added the CB from UCLA (Monroe?) and Eric Saubert, TE, Drake after the east, west shrin game.

Amoung other changes.

Round 3 Pick 1: Jourdan Lewis used to net an A+

I think Andre Smith signed a $3 mill deal last year with the Vikings...he disappointed even further...and I doubt he gets anything higher than what he got last year...Given ties with Hue, he could be brought in as a backup, a sperhaps Hue can motivate him (Smiths worst asset is he is lazy and effort wise is not always there) Then again maybe Hue avoided him last year in FA because of this...

A guy I really like perhaps in late round 3 (hopefully there for our comp. pick)...Is the Sooners DT Charles Walker...Would be a nice addition to our DT rotation...and boy that guy is ripped for being a DT...
