You are. GWU actually had a course in how to protest and disrupt the inauguration. Looks like some failed their final, lol.

Yep. He's also came in with historical disapproval rating. I mean, I've only seen 3rd world countries have more people at the protests than at the inauguration.

So guys, is Trump going to convert the FEMA camps into a playground or is it still too cold in Alaska during the summer? Rocket should know.

No. The FEMA camps are too large to be playgrounds. You'd lose your kid.

And, with all the plastic caskets they have, it's been decided to repurpose the FEMA camps into veal calf production.

60 degrees in most places, but fairbanks can hit mid 80s in the middle of July with all the sunlight.

--------------------------------------------

Light crowd for the inauguration yesterday; only 700,000 showed up, and I bet 40 wasn't one of them.

500,000+ marching around DC today for women's rights, and many cities across the nation holding similar large marches.

Actually, wouldn't #DemocracyInAction be the fact the Trump was elected, and a peaceful exchange of power occurred? Free and fair voting is #DemocracyInAction, which happened back in November.

It helps raise awareness that Trump's admin wants to roll back rights for women.

Sure sounds like limited government interference and all...

Look at this YUGE crowd for the inauguration! All these people came out to watch him speak.

Now let's look at this puny crowd, from today, that came out in solidarity to support the right's of women.

Let's continue to listen to the narrative that more showed up to watch Trump talk! Down with facts, and let's listen to 40s feelings!

I don't agree with the premise of rampant racism on the right, at all. It is more like isolated cases of racism on the right, and when it happens it is often done by one person who often (literally) shows signs of mental instability.

Contrast that with the 'isolated' acts of savagery which seem to inevitably happen as large protests devolve into riots, and which often involve groups of people and not just lone individuals.

But anyway, you seem like an internet-savvy guy. You can read the comments on videos that show groups of people smashing windows, assaulting people due to their political views, screaming and throwing things at police officers, etc. Read other people's comments and you will see that what I wrote is pretty much accurate.

Rocket, your comments in the other thread along with your meme about Kellyanne Conway remind me of this old post from the cartoon guy.

http://blog.dilbert.com/post/153040338656/while-you-were-looking-in-the-wrong-direction

Quote:
I’ve written a few times that Clinton deserves credit for breaking the glass ceiling for the highest office, at least in our minds, and that’s where it matters most. In 2016, no thinking person believes gender is a job requirement for president. That isn’t even a thing anymore. And Clinton did that for the country. You have to respect that.

However, it is also true that Clinton tarnished women’s “brand” during the course of the election, with an assist from her opponents. You can respect much of what Clinton accomplished, but in the end she was an imperfect role model at best.

Meanwhile, over at the Trump campaign, we watched the best hirer-firer of our time replace Lewandowski with Manafort before replacing Manafort with Conway. Each campaign manager was right for a respective phase of the campaign. Lewandowski was the street-fighter that got Trump attention during a crowded primary. Manafort was the well-connected operator who could guide him through the Republican convention and the nomination.

But Conway took it home, against heavy odds. Her work was – as we can clearly see – insanely good.

Trump succeeded in large part because of three brilliant, super-tough, ultra-effective women: KellyAnne Conway, Katrina Pierson, and Ivanka Trump.

If you cried on election day because it was a bad day for women, perhaps you were looking in the wrong direction.

What I don't get is where are womens rights being infringed? They are just ticked a woman has still not been elected President. Frankly, I am surprised a woman has not been elected. Maybe they need to bring forward better candidates. They had been banking on the Hillary card for 10 years now.

I understand their frustration, but they are blaming the wrong person.

The Womens rights organization is a joke. Sarah Palin is a woman last time I checked but Women right organizations were worse to her than any man. They are a joke! A laughing stock.

They are protesting violence against women. As in Trumps kitty cat grabbing habit.

If you guys think violence against women is ok, maybe you should move to the middle east, because you certainly dont belong in America.

Calm down. I am almost always on your side. Don't try to make it sound like I am in favor of violence against women. That's not fair, and totally wrong.

I understand his explaination of locker room talk. Every guy has been guilty of that, and I expect every woman as well. I went to a college basketball game this afternoon. I was looking at the cheerleaders and dance team. I have to admit, all of my thoughts weren't totally pure. Ok, I have to admit, they weren't pure.

I may be old, but my eye is as young as it ever was. That said, that doesn't mean I am going to do anything.

Many in his cabinet, along with Trump himself, rally against Planned Parenthood and Roe V. Wade.

Don't you understand there's a big difference in "locker room talk", and advocating for sexual assault?

As awkward as it feels having to defend him on this, he didn't advocate for sexual assault.

The end of that line was 'they let you do it'. Assault is when they don't and you do anyway.

The guy had groupies just like rock stars had groupies.

Totally bewildered at the fact that I had to type that, not so much that you all are believing the media spin on it.

But I had to type that to clarify the remarks of the guy we elected to the presidency.

Don't you understand that there is a big difference between "advocating for sexual assault" and actually committing sexual assault, which Bill Clinton did on more than half a dozen different women... and his wife defended him every single time.. and that's not counting the countless other affairs including the one when he had sex with a 22 year old girl in the White House?

I get women protesting today but I honestly don't get the Trump hatred.. because I bet almost every one of them voted for the sexual predator enabler Hillary who didn't give a flying rats ass about the women's lives that were ruined by her husband... she only cared about Clinton power.

Bill Clinton still has an approval rating over 60% among women...

They just hate Trump, they hate Republicans, this is a pleasant excuse to protest... if this was actually about caring about your daughters and your granddaughters and those in public setting an example and blahblahblah.. they wouldn't have anything to do with any Clinton since he got out of office.

You guys dont get it. It is not and it will never be acceptable to grab a womans crotch. Its an offensive violent act that disrespects a woman in a personal way. I did not vote for Hillary and I totally support those women protesting today.

Look, I don't like the guy either. But I disliked him less than I disliked Hillary. If it weren't for the whole 20% of our uranium going to the Russians deal that got run through her state department I would've just gone 3rd party and let the chips fall where they may.

But I couldn't just look the other way after I found that out and give her a larger set of keys.

I was going to type something splitting hairs about letting him do it or not and I can't. Not gonna try to defend this at all.

I don't think half of them know why they are protesting. Local media interviewed some women from protests in Denver, asked them what they were protesting for. Got a variety responses, but none of them said for womens rights or protection from sexual assault. One responded with climate change. WTH?

I absolutely didn't want Hillary to win, I couldn't vote for trump just as a vote for Hillary. My entire ballot was 3rd party, didn't vote for a single R or D. Neither party is interested in doing good for the country.
