I played the tutorial on the beta, wasn't really feeling it. But, I was pretty busy at the time and didn't really spend much time with it. I can't really put my finger on anything, but I wasn't really feeling the aesthetic. I like my shooters more realistic, and Halo felt more realistic than Overwatch did to me.

I think it'll be back, but I just have this feeling it won't ever be the way it was. Not so much with the whole player name/likeness deal, but just the overall quality of the game. For as much as everyone complains about Madden, NCAA always put out a solid product ever year. Was never just a roster update with a new cover. Always tried to do add new features and improve the dynasty mode.

Anyone get the Resident Evil 4 remastered? How's the gameplay/graphics? Considering getting this, it's only 20 bucks.

In case anyone is looking for a game to get, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a ridiculously good game. Definitely my game of the year so far. Uncharted 4 was a lot of fun, but Mankind Divided just has a lot more to it and a lot more to do.

They're different games, but I think I'd say Mankind Divided is better overall. We shall see how I feel when Tomb Raider (also Eidos Montreal) comes out on PS4, but I still think Mankind Divided will be hard to beat.

Eidos Montreal is one of the best game makers in the business.

Although one of my fav things is that it takes place majority-wise in Prague. And that's where I spent a semester in college, so there's nostalgia there. But it's a heckuva game. Challenging at times too

That was always my stance. I don't care about the current players anyway. I'm usually playing Dynasty mode and within 2 years, I've got a whole new team anyway. Just auto-generate something based on the school's current power rankings.

IMV Gaming is a small gaming company.

They are starting a Kickstarter campaign to help fund "Gridiron Champions"

A college football video game.

In my opinion, the success vs fail for this game will be how interested Schools and Sponsors are in giving rights to it.

Either that, or just create a blank slate, and allow customization.

Why EA never did that, I can't figure out.

Actually picked up a bunch of ps4 titles over the last few weeks, but I have hardly had time to play any of them!

My cousin sent me Madden and FIFA...

I scored Arkham Knight for 14 bucks on Amazon, and Metal Gear for 20. I picked up Res Evil 4 for 20 to play tomorrow with my wife (she doesn't game a lot but loves Resident Evil)

Also scored a copy of the Show for 20 bucks. I love that there are a ton of affordable games out there. Can't wait to dive into them.

Madden isn't too bad either, other than the icing the kicker thing which is annoying.

I've been delaying the purchase for a long while now. I need something to get my mind off that baseball team from Cleveland and our 0-8 Browns.

Also, Best Buy is offering the Uncharted 4 bundle with a free copy of Call of Duty Infinite War (just released today) for $299. I elected to do the "6 month no interest" financing because it's practically nothing per month.

I may sell COD Infinite War via eBay for $55 and then roll that into the purchase price of the console. I think that's a steal.

I'll probably ask for NBA 2k17 for X-mas as well.

Any games you recommend that might not jump out at me?

Just from what I have played..

Black Ops 3 - It's ok. Although I haven't paid for the network yet so I haven't played online. The zombie mode is kinda fun. I only have this because it was the bundled game.

Dying Light - Love this game so much. It's not the perfect game. The story line can be a little ehh, but you can really run and jump around everywhere. You can pretty much scale any ledge. It's very awesome in that regard. The music is cool. I love the zombie genre so this is right in my wheelhouse.

Mad Max - Fun game. The map can be a little boring at times since it's just a giant open waseland but the car stuff is amazing. Driving around and destroying convoys and other cars never gets old. Story is cool enough.

Far Cry 4 - Not as good as 3. Gameplay is incredibly fun. Side stuff can be a little tedious, and the storyline is hard to follow at times. I picked it up for 14 bucks. I love the series so I had to try it.

NBA 2k16 - Awesome game but the myplayer feature was ruined by Spike Lee. Sounds like it was cleaned up in 2k17. The NBA 2k series is probably my favorite current sports series (since NCAA is dead)

The Show '16 - Pretty fun game. Still messing around with it.

Madden 17 - Pretty good. Wish the scouting/drafting feature was a little more in depth.

Witcher 3 - AMAZING!

Might jump into FIFA at some point this weekend

Thanks for the tips.

I heard Titanfall 2 is awesome, but the sales weren't that great, so the online is empty. COD:IW has an amazing campaign but it's quality is iffy online.

Since I wasn't sure, I exchanged COD:IW for NBA2K17 today. I hadn't opened it and the lady said it was no big deal. I might need to shop around a bit on my next FPS.

I'll be able to spin a few months on NBA and Uncharted4. I haven't played Madden in 4-5 years, so maybe that'll be something I pick up in Jan or Feb.

I might give GTA:V another go. I heard they added a bit more when they re-released it on PS4. Plus, it's only $29.

After that, I'm waiting for the new Hot Shots Golf and maybe Skate 4 (no confirmations though).

In my house, the current hot PS4 games are Battlefield 1, Destiny, and now the Skyrim port over. Fallout got a lot of playtime and now the big thing is DLC...Dark Souls and Assassins Creed (pick one) were good games afew months ago...If you pay for the Sony Plus, you get a free download game or 2 per month...my problem now is the hard drive is pretty full and it does not look to be as easy to upgrade as the old 360 was (just slide it in)...if anyone has any easy ways to add another HDD to the PS4, please let me know.

JC: I've got two games sitting around waiting to be played. Tomb Raider (the new one for PS4) and Far Cry Primal. I'm quite excited about both.

Best PS4 game that no one seems to mention is Deus Ex though. I loved that game, wasn't very long, but game was amazing.

Last games I can remember playing would be Doom (quality game, but not my thing), Deus Ex (loved it), Assassin's Creed 4 (took me awhile to finally beat, game was okay), Mad Max (really enjoyed this one), Uncharted 4 (Loved it, but it's short). After that, they all start mixing together.

I've got quite a big PS4 library and I'm thinking about throwing some of these games on EBay at some point (considering I rarely play games more than once).

Finished Mad Max over the weekend. Awesome game. A little bummed that the story missions part of the game seemed a tad short, but overall, the gameplay was incredibly fun. The map can be a little dull, since it's a giant wasteland, but wrecking cars with your own car never got old..

I just started Wolfenstein. I have to say, for a game that got almost no run when it came out, it's really fun.

I'm hoping for Watch Dogs 2 for Christmas, I've watched some folks play it via Twitch and it seems like a blast.

Also grabbed Just Cause 3 for 20 bucks. Loved the first two.

Yeah, I'm going to re-buy it. I'm hoping to get a new version for $19 (I missed the black Friday price).

Funny that you should mention this. This is the main reason I still have my PS3 and play it almost every day. The Dynasty mode in NCAA 14 is second to none, building smaller schools into power houses and so fun, just never gets old. Recently through team builder, I downloaded a copy someone had put up online of Youngstown State university Penguins, its awesome and so much fun!

The last guardian is a really good game. The camera and controls were downright bad at times. The frame rate was bad a couple of times too.

I found that I cared about the kid and the monster. The creators gave life to the monster with subtle things. Storyline was about what I expected. The scenery and atmosphere was A++++. The creators hit a home run with the environment and graphics.

Wolfenstein is great. Decent length to the gameplay, pretty polished mechanics, average graphics, but you don't need good ones.

And who doesn't love killing Nazis?

I rate it around what I do for the Metro Redux (two Metros in one). If you aren't a freak about graphics, and want to play a fun single player shooter with some story to it (which I didn't sense with Doom), that's a good one to get. Plus there's two of them.

You might want to download a guide from Gamefaqs or something to help you get along, at least in the first, but that's mostly just because it's really easy to get confused and lost in the tunnels.

But that's a good one too. 60 FPS too. Graphics are nothing special, but well polished post-apacolyptic game for sure.

Thanks for the recommendation, I may pick that one up in the future.

Scored a bunch of games from my wife for Christmas. GTA V, The Bioshock Collection, Watch Dogs 2, and Saints Row IV.

I literally have too many games to pick from lol.

I also started Dishonored 1 over again on PS3. I started playing Watch Dogs 2 as well. It's actually really fun. Still kind of getting the hang of how it plays, but it's got a ton to do. The presentation is incredible.

I know a lot of folks loved GTAV. I liked it, but of those games, Bioshock Collection would probably be my favorite (if I hadn't played it). Bioshock 1 and Bioshock Infinite are two of the better shooters around and certainly hold their value in age (not monetary but quality). I thought Bioshock 2 was awful.

I've been messing with Sunset Overdrive, which is fun to just pickup and play. And I'm waiting to play Tomb Raider and Dishonored 2. I've gotta pass a Coast Guard Test in February (should be the last one I ever take), and I'm trying to avoid distractions so I can stop being lazy and get to the routine of studying.

Afterwards, full blast finishing those three and then whenever Mass Effect 4 comes out (game is gonna be where it's at).

I got a GoW XboxOne from the wife for XMas, and my buddy loaned me Sunset Overdrive & Halo 5.

And lord knows when WiiU Zelda will finally come out. At this point, I wonder if it'll even come out for Wii U

For anyone interested, I have had a blast with Watch Dogs 2. I never played the first, but read enough reviews to stay away. Still may pick up at some point.

Sounds like they made vast improvements with 2. This plays a lot like a GTA game. The missions are hilarious. I just finished one that took down the New Dawn religion which is a clear parody of the Church of Scientology.

Hacking stuff is fun. You can mess with traffic, and sneak around by hacking people's phones. Haven't been able to put this one down. It's not quite GTA V, which is obviously one of the highest rated games of all time, but it's still up there and would definitely get if you are a GTA fan..

I got a PSVR headset for Christmas. I love it!

Not too many "full games" out for it yet, but what's there so far blows my mind. I ended up piloting a X-Wing, and shot down Tie Fighters. I loved it.

I like the racing games, so I'm eyeing one of those for when the better racing games adopt the technology.

My buddy has one. I played that portion of Star Wars too. I've played that Eagle game which is pretty cool and I love that demo of the jewel heist or whatever (which is basically a shooter).

The robot game where you're jumping around just made me feel sick

I purchased the Battlefront season pass as it was a killer sale on black Friday. Mainly been playing that when I do turn the ps4 on.

Horizon Zero Dawn is releasing in lil over a month. Playstation people, check out the gameplay if you haven't yet. It's looking killer.

I'm gonna wait on it and see the reviews. It's made by the creators of Killzone. That's why I'm iffy. Killzone Gameplay is decent, but their story has always been crappy or non-existant. I found the Killzone games to merely be okay. There's just too many other games I wanna play.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming out in March and Zelda is coming out in early March. Those are the games to play.

I bought Doom for $20 during the Black Fire sales. It's a good bit of fun. I think I'm halfway through the campaign. I don't have Plus, so I haven't played online.

I find myself not really wanting any of the new or upcoming games. I may go back and replay GTAV on PS4 and get a few of the older games.

Damn, hurry up Red Dead Redemption 2!

Mass Effect I'm super pumped for! I'm a big fan of the series.

Oh, I did forget I had beat the new Tomb Raider (Rise of the Tomb Raider) and just like the previous one... the gameplay and etc is really fun, but the game itself is extremely short.

I just couldn't get into Doom. Wasn't my thing I guess. The colors and textures made it hard for me. I turned up the brightness and it got better, but it just seemed like i was always looking for keys and crap like that.

Maybe I had a better game to play.

My gaming backlog is huge. Esp now that I got an XboxOne for Xmas. I've been messing around with Sunset Overdrive, which is fun, but have to got serious about Gears Of War 4 and the newest Halo at some point.

And then there's Mass Effect...... That's the game to play, no doubt about it. It'll be best game of the year I bet

I've gotta play Tomb Raider as well. That and Dishonored 2. I own Tomb Raider, sorry to hear it's short. Bought the thing for like 40$ and never got a chance to play it.

I loved the first New Tomb Raider. That game was sweet. Gameplay was better than Uncharted IMO. Although Uncharted has better story and length

Oh, and I agree. Mass Effect is where it's at. IMO Mass Effect 1 might be the best game I played of the Xbox360/PS3 Generation. And the series hasn't like taken a step back at all. I just really liked Mass Effect 1

Each FPS is different and it depends on the person. I rent a lot of them and I find myself turning some off after 30 minutes because of the darkness, textures, maps, puzzles, guns, flow or hit-detection. Doom fits my brain I guess. Plus, for $20, I can't complain.

I was thinking about getting Batman: Arkham Knight for $15. Anybody play it? I heard the batmobile is annoying and takes up too much of the game. Again, $15...I should just shut up and give it a try.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the new Ghost Recon game coming out in March. Although I rarely buy games right away, I usually wait to see what the consensus is, not to mention the price comes down, or they release of a complete/GOTY edition with all the extras.

Still catching up with a ton of other games. About to finish Watch Dogs 2 which has been quite enjoyable. I am not sure what I want to start next.

I was thinking about getting Batman: Arkham Knight for $15. Anybody play it? I heard the batmobile is annoying and takes up too much of the game. Again, $15...I should just shut up and give it a try.

I played it and kind of liked the Batmobile. I don't fondly remember it like I do some other games. I am having trouble remembering exactly who the bad guys were even. The Batmobile makes it even more open world, as you can get around pretty quick and adds another element.

I kind of felt the other batmans were getting old with their style of combat. Similar combos over and over.

But for 15$, it's a good deal. You can always stop playing it if you get bored. As I said, there's no spectacular ending or anything, as I don't even remember it. But I did beat it, so it couldn't have been that bad

EDIT: I do feel like there was more to it. Lots of bad guys to lock up. I think that was the deal, like 8 guys you can lock up or something. Penguin was in it, as side missions. And a few other side mission bad guys. One guy who was on fire that flew around that you chased in the batmobile. And poison ivy was in it.

Yeah, for 15$ there's lot of content and you can just follow whatever you want. The main story's quest isn't significant enough that you have to beat it, but I'm beginning to remember it more now.

15$, I recommend it

I bought it a while back for under 15$ but haven't played it. I love the Batman games. Arkham Asylum and City are both incredible. I never finished Origins. It just wasn't an overall great game especially when compared with the first two. It also was not Rocksteady as the development team.

The missions, voice acting, and writing in those Batman games is top notch. It is a bit of a button masher, but it's not to the point where you feel it's repetitive.
