This is absolutely perfect and things I wanted to happen. TPP is another NAFTA just waiting to happen, good move on that. Also, any breathing human being is an upgrade to the last administration's foreign policy.

List of Trump's executive orders

Since taking office, President Trump has looked to fulfill some of his campaign promises by using executive orders. Here are the orders he has signed so far:

An order that directs federal agencies to ease the “regulatory burdens” of ObamaCare. It orders agencies to “waive, defer, grant exemptions from, or delay the implementation of any provision or requirement” of ObamaCare that imposes a “fiscal burden on any State or a cost, fee, tax, penalty, or regulatory burden on individuals, families, healthcare providers, health insurers, patients, recipients of healthcare services, purchasers of health insurance, or makers of medical devices, products, or medications.”

An order imposing a hiring freeze for some federal government workers as a way to shrink the size of government. This excludes the military, as Trump noted at the signing.

He signed a notice that the U.S. will begin withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. Trump called the order "a great thing for the American worker."

An order to reinstate the so-called "Mexico City Policy" – a ban on federal funds to international groups that perform abortions or lobby to legalize or promote abortion. The policy was instituted in 1984 by President Reagan, but has gone into and out of effect depending on the party in power in the White House.

So now we're taking a major step out of South East Asia. Also Israel isn't our most important ally. Certainly a key ally, but our relationship was never truly in doubts.

Not a step out of SE Asia, just running away from a very bad deal for America.

Our relations with Israel are no longer in doubt now that Obama is no longer damaging them.

While his comments about the crowd size were definitely not a good moment, I have no problem with him berating the press on their MLK Jr. bust nonsense. Are they trying to stir up racial problems in the country? Considering the last 8 years, I'd have to say, yes.

The liberal press has been against Trump since he announced, and they've been wrong at just about every turn. They'll run with anything negative, and have shown to run those stories without facts or proof. They deserved to be berated over that MKL story.

Isn't it interesting that all forms of communication in the United States, be it the News media, comedy shows, late night, Newspapers and our schools are all under the control of one side in the debate between Right and Left?
Yet the Right managed to pull off a sweeping victory, nationwide, in this past election.

Says to me the Silent Majority can still tell the difference between Propaganda and Truth. thumbsup

Makes sense. Liberals seem to rely heavily on language to communicate, while Conservatives rely on pointing and grunting.

I am ok with this. When I listen to the guy speak, it is very clear that he is a smart guy. His recollection of details is particularly impressive. There are people high up in government and government agencies who are complete idiots. But this guy is sharp and I thought he was fair throughout the whole ordeal. Both sides thought James Comey favored the other side. That suggests he struck a pretty good balance.

I do recall him not recommending charges against Hillary Clinton when it was pretty obvious that some lackey probably would have been charged. Look at the bigger picture though. The only person in the world that could have charged Hillary Clinton-- Loretta Lynch, was appointed by Obama, and was previously appointed as a federal attorney by Bill Clinton (who Lynch was caught having a secret meeting with.) To say that there is enormous bias there would be an understatement, but Loretta Lynch pursuing charges against Hillary Clinton was just never going to happen, not in good faith anyway.

Comey laid out what happened. He really laid into Hillary Clinton in that one press conference, and left it to the American people to decide on November 8th. The results speak for themselves.

Except Hillary didn't lose because of the emails.

She lost because she decided to call half the country a basket of deplorables. It was over the moment she opened her mouth that day.

Eve, why should you be so surprised? I mean, his entire campaign was vague from the start. He never answered questions in detail nor did he ever give details about how he would do things, pay for things etc. etc. So, of course now things are going to be vague.

But hey "Things will be fantastic. So fantastic...it will be a great thing. A beautiful thing". Uhhhh...details of how it will be fantastic Mr. Trump? "It will be America first. America first and it will be beautiful".

She did a horrible job getting her messages across too. Even if what Trump said was BS, at least he HAD a message. "I'm with her" what the hell does that mean?

Yeah, that was very strange, especially considering it was attached to a candidate as unpopular as Clinton was.

Democrats couldn't get out of their own way this election. From screwing over Bernie Sanders every step of the way, to the extreme focus on identity politics rather than something a bit more pragmatic like jobs, the left really bungled this one. Fine by me smile

I think that was the most surprising thing in all of it. She's a career politician and couldn't excel at the things politicians SHOULD dominate at. She couldn't manufacture some BS catchy slogan, she refused to have any interaction with the media (even MSNBC and CNN), and she couldn't even fake acting like a human being.

Say what you want about Obama, but 08 Obama mopped the floor with her for a reason in the primaries. She's just terrible at politics.

But in a reflection of the improvisational style that helped fuel his rise, he has made few, if any, firm decisions about which orders he wants to make, or in which order. That is a striking break from past presidents, who have entered office with detailed plans for rolling out a series of executive actions that set a tone for their presidencies and send a clear message about their agendas.

It was clear that Mr. Trump had devised no such strategy by his first day in office, as advisers expressed doubt until the last moments about whether he would issue any directives on Friday. “It’s going to be a game-day decision,” Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, told reporters that afternoon.

This is what many of you hated about Obama, right? A bunch of executive actions which caused government tyranny? What happened to the party of self-proclaimed "limited government"?

Please show me the outrage you showed against Obama.
Plus Obama's executive actions were in response to a congress pledged to block everything he proposed.
As far as I know Trump shouldn't need executive action to do anything.
The spineless republicans who once called Trump for what he is will bend in any direction he needs to please him.

If you believe the reports, Bill cautioned her the whole campaign she put too much trust into her campaign manager and ignored all his advice. So yeah, she sucks at campaigning. I mean what would a 2 term president know about getting elected..lol,

The Latest: Trump tries to streamline manufacturing permits

https://www.yahoo.com/news/latest-trump-meeting-auto-executives-143622501--finance.html?ref=gs

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Latest on President Donald Trump (all times local):

11:50 a.m.

President Donald Trump has taken steps to streamline the permitting process for manufacturing.

He also wants pipelines to be made in the U.S., and an expedited process for environmental reviews and approvals.

The steps came as Trump signed executive actions to advance construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines. Former President Barack Obama blocked construction in late 2015 of the Keystone line from Canada to the U.S. Meanwhile, the Army Corps of Engineers is studying alternative routes for the Dakota Access pipeline.

Trump describes the regulatory process as a "tangled up mess." He says if the answer is no, it should be a quick no. If the answer is yes, Trump says "let's start building."

___

11:35 a.m.

President Donald Trump says he will announce his pick to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat sometime next week.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday that he'll be "making my decision this week" and "we'll be announcing it next week."

"We have some outstanding candidates," the president said. "And we'll pick a truly great Supreme Court justice."

The Supreme Court has only had eight justices since Justice Antonin Scalia died last year. President Barack Obama nominated a replacement but Republicans in the Senate refused to bring the choice up for a vote.

During his campaign, Trump publicly identified nearly two dozen candidates for the vacancy.

__

11:25 a.m.

President Donald Trump has signed executive actions to advance the construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines.

Trump tells reporters in the Oval Office that the moves on the pipelines will be subject to the terms and conditions being renegotiated by the U.S.

President Barack Obama killed the proposed Keystone XL pipeline in late 2015, saying it would hurt American efforts to reach a global climate change deal.

The pipeline would run from Canada to U.S. refineries in the Gulf Coast. The U.S. government needs to approve the pipeline because it crossed the border.

The Army decided last year to explore alternate routes for the Dakota pipeline after the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and its supporters said the pipeline threatened1 drinking water and Native American cultural sites.

__

10:50 a.m.

FBI Director James Comey is staying in his job. A Justice Department memo lists him among officials remaining in their positions.

FBI directors are appointed to 10-year terms intended to carry across presidential administrations, even when a new party takes over the White House.

President Donald Trump criticized the FBI during the campaign for its decision not to recommend charges against his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. But he also appeared to warmly greet Comey at a law enforcement gathering over the weekend.

Comey is in his fourth year in the job.

The New York Times first reported that Comey would stay on.

The director's job has been a 10-year term since 1976. Since then, only one has been removed prematurely — Reagan appointee William Sessions by Bill Clinton in 1993.

__

9:48 a.m.

President Donald Trump is expected to take executive action Tuesday to advance construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines.

That's according to a person with knowledge of the action. The president is scheduled to sign orders at the White House late Tuesday morning.

Former President Barack Obama killed the proposed Keystone XL pipeline in late 2015, declaring it would have undercut U.S. efforts to clinch a global climate change deal that was a centerpiece of his environmental legacy. The pipeline would run from Canada to U.S. refineries in the Gulf Coast. The U.S. government needed to approve the pipeline because it crossed the border.

The Army decided last year to explore alternate routes for the Dakota pipeline after the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and its supporters said the pipeline threatened drinking water and Native American cultural sites.

The person with knowledge of the decisions insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to confirm the moves ahead of a formal announcement.

9:45 a.m.

President Donald Trump says he's an environmentalist.

The president made the comments Tuesday at a breakfast with auto industry executives.

He didn't elaborate on why he sees himself as an environmentalist, but the comments came after urging companies from the auto industry and beyond to bring jobs back to the U.S.

On Monday, he made similar comments at a business breakfast, stating, again without elaborating, "I'm a very big person when it comes to the environment. I have received awards on the environment."

___

9:30 a.m.

President Donald Trump is spending the morning meeting with auto executives as part of his push to bring jobs back to the U.S.

Trump told his guests Tuesday at the White House that he's looking to ease regulations to help auto companies and any other businesses wishing to do business in the U.S.

Among the attendees of the breakfast are Ford Motor Co. chief executive Mark Fields, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne and General Motors chief executive Mary Barra.

___

3:30 a.m.

President Donald Trump's efforts to build bridges and push through his agenda have been overshadowed once again with his continued fixation on the election and more false claims.

During a bipartisan reception with lawmakers at the White House late Monday, Trump claimed the reason he'd lost the popular vote to his Democratic rival was that 3 million to 5 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally had voted.

That's according to a Democratic aide familiar with the exchange who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the private meeting. There is no evidence to support Trump's claim.

Trump on Tuesday will continue his outreach efforts as he meets with executives from the auto industry and speaks by phone with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She's good at politics, but her self-interest just overwhelms her whole demeanor. You can read the self-interest every time she raises her eyebrows. Ted Cruz has the very same thing going on with him. That's while they'll never win a national election.
