All those illegals will pay more at their mexican cafeterias and mexican grocery stores. So illegals can pay for the wall. Genius!

Which brings me back to a question I asked that nobody responded to.
So that means there's gonna be a 20% increase on products made by companies like Carrier and Ford in Mexico?
Doesn't sound like Mexico is paying for anything.
And unlike most people on this board, I support globalization. It's inevitable. Especially when talking about trying to unify societies. I understand that on this board I'm riding solo dolo on that, but that's ok.
However, it's funny watching the same people complain about buying American products do their shopping at Walmart, a big box retailer who's products they provide are made by companies who have them produced overseas.
The jobs thing is also funny. I expect when the wall is complete, there will be thousands of white conservatives lined up to pick tomatoes in 100 degree weather, right?
Cause when the price of groceries sky rocket, imma look dead at you guys.

And again I say to you it is all part of a comprehensive tax plan with the details to come.
You will have your answers when it is done.
Now buy American First! You don't have to worry about Mexican stuff.

Maybe Mexico will want to go to war over this. We can help them by sending 11 million troops to help with the fight.

HA! So all those tears over tax returns turned out to be a non- issue as Trump was elected President by the People without them.

I don't play alternative facts.
He said he was gonna release them. Then he said he wasn't. That's a blatant lie, flip flop, deception. Whatever you want to call it, along with everything else.
If you're cool with that, fine. Just stop pretending to have some moral high ground with regards to...well, anything.

He does not have to release them and he has chosen not to.
You want to disagree with him, fine. He is under no obligation.
Releasing them now would only open the door to his enemies to search for anything they could burn him with in the Media.
It would be stupid to release them now.

You're right, it would be stupid for him to release them. If his "enemies" saw how much money he owed his comrade Putin, it would look kind of bad.

Are you sure that's how it works? Because it never seems to be a concern when you guys talk about jacking the taxes on corporations in our own country. I heard earlier today that they've already walked back from that 20% number. I also heard we give them 100-200 million a year in cash.. I think a good start would be to cut off that aid and divert the funds. In the end though, if we can get taxes down and under control, and the budget balanced, I honestly don't think too many people would be all that upset if we end up paying for it so long as it's just built.

By 5pm today the 20% dropped to 5% to none at all. I don't think Trump has a clue on how to finance the wall.

I certainly will be concerned, especially since it's probably not gonna work.
The guy has blatantly said Mexico will pay for it. But it doesn't matter if it's 20, 25, or 2%. That's not Mexico who's gonna pay for it.
I want to know how this is gonna work. Not only do we have to build a wall, but then we have to pay for it to be manned.
And he wants to boost ICE.
And he wants to boost the military
And he wants to throw money at the infrastructure( I'm cool with this)
All this while slashing taxes and regulations.
Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

If taxes are lowered in the US, and it also costs more to import from Mexico, then manufacturing is going to move back to the US.
Mexico could lose big in this. They don't want a wall because Mexicans who come to the US to work often send money back across the border to their families still working in Mexico. If that gets shut down as well, then Mexico will be hurting even more.
My biggest concern is the the Mexican authorities might says "screw it" when it comes to drug deal;ers and crooks trying to get over the border.
We also have to understand that there are tunnels build under the border, so a wall isn't the end all, be all. We need boots on the ground, technology that allows us to find those tunnels, and so forth. However, a wall will slow down many trying to cross the border, and with an increased level of border patrol agents, it makes for a good start. We also need an ability to watch those going around the fence in the ocean.
I have to laugh when the Mexican President says that they oppose the wall no matter what .... and that it would somehow make us less as neighbors. I like all of my neighbors, (that I know) but I'm not going to leave my doors unlocked and open, and my alarm off. The border is no different.
Just my $.02

I don't see what the problem is, he's using the same play the Obama Admin directed it's people to do when put in front of Congressional Hearings. Come unprepared, have no knowledge of anything, and don't turn over anything you've been subpoenaed to turn over. It worked for Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS targeting, and so many more.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Maybe the wall will be a part of the infrastructure plan? The premise behind slashing taxes and onerous, expensive regulations is that it will generate economic activity. Even though the rates are lower, more revenue is actually brought in due to the fact there are more transactions and wealth created that can be taxed.

Does anyone else remember the pamphlets produced by the Mexican gov't that gave illegals advice on how to sneak across the border and then on how to game the system once they got here? Such as calling an ambulance to take you to the hospital for a cold instead of paying for a taxi? I'll see if I can dig that up later and post it.
Of course they don't want a wall! Mexico's solution for the abject poverty there has been to get their people to move out of the country lol

Something else to think about- What if people spend less money? People are becoming more consumer conscious and not spending money on crap they don't need.

All people did was save the extra cash. Same with businesses.

You keep thinking trickle down economics works.
This is gonna get ugly. It does. The Bush tax cuts actually saw an increase in tax revenue. Problem is the increase in deficit spending swallowed it up. I agree that trickle down doesn't work as a wealth redistribution model. The problem is, it wasn't a wealth redistribution model. So for people who view economics as a way to redistribute wealth versus a way to promote and create wealth, they will always say it doesn't work.

Except it create more wealth for people who already had wealth.
The point is to make policies to create wealth for all.
It didn't create any new jobs. As a matter of fact, we continued to lose jobs.
So homeboy who needed to wait another month to pay for his yacht ended up not waiting.
Whoop de doo.
You're having some serious revisionist history. Unfortunately, so is the rest of your ideology, and now the same dumbass policies that got us into a recession in the first place is about to come right on back.
But if you were a fan on 07-09, more power to you. I'm not, nor will I ever be.

I'm sure others did as well.
But the numbers say the majority suffered. We was losing how many jobs a month?

That recession didn't have anything to do with the Bush tax cuts. It had to do with the bad mortgage BS that was going on.

still waiting on how Trump plans on having mexico pay for the wall. This is an alternative fact tax for those living in an alternative reality. Back here in the real world the fog has settled and most people can see the Orangutan in the Oval Office. Watched a piece on TYT last night showing how the numbers Trump used in the Chicago tweet were from the Bill O'reilly show on Fox that aired at the same time the tweet was made. Oh, and the bit about sending in the feds was a comment from the guy he was interviewing (commentator)... So now Bill O'reilly knows all he has to do to get the Donald to act is say something on his show. Murica what have you done?
