If he sets the Ohio river on fire does that mean he's now the owner of the Bengals and a better owner has bought the Browns from him?

If that's the case we need to go burn that river right now bro!!!
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Here's the thing clem, the dots, are not 'dots'. It's a decimal point, if you take my meaning.
Certainly there needs to be regulations protecting air and water, but how much is too much?
True story, (and I've tried to find a link in the past but...doesn't seem to be one). Years ago (late 90's-early 00's) I go to the paint store to buy some wood stain.
The store I went to carried two stains, Penchrome, by Fuller Obrien and Old Masters.
I preferred Penchrome. But it was no longer in production.
Why?
The guys at the paint store told me the EPA told these two companies they had 3 options about how they manufactured their material.
1. Change the way you make it. 2. Stop making it. 3. Pay a fine and continue to make it the way you currently do.
Fuller Obrien stopped production. They're back now, but I don't know how long it took before they returned. Haven't seen it on shelves since it was discontinued.
Old Masters paid the fine.
Two questions here before I move on.
1. If protecting the environment was the object of the EPA, why was there a third option? If what they were doing was so harmful there would've been no third option.
2. Where does the money that the EPA collected in that fine go? Cap and Trade? Carbon Credits?
Just exactly what does trading in these fictitious 'credits' do to supposedly curb global warming?
Here in Ohio, we're not allowed to use alkyd based paints on wood-that comes from a gallon. If I want to use oil based paints on wood, I have to buy it in quarts. Which can cost anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of a gallon.
Supposedly, opening a gallon of oil based paint releases more of something or other into the atmosphere than opening a quart does.
But I can open the same gallon can and use it on metal...
Do you see the dichotomy?
I don't believe man has an impact on the climate, but I do believe in environmental stewardship.
The trouble we have on both sides is that we both question the sincerity of the others 'experts'. We both accuse the others of doing what they do in order to stay in a job. I don't know if there have been any discoveries of manipulated data on my side of the argument, but even Jon Stewart couldn't give a positive spin to the data that was deleted on the environmentalists side of the argument.
So hopefully this new EPA chief will have a level head for both sides of the argument.
