That's exactly what we are saying. We would be "picking him up."

The problem we have is severe.

We all know he isn't the fix. But, he may help us solve the problem -- develop and create the eventual fix.

So if we're interested in him, then I wouldn't, with concrete mindset, rule him out as an option.

And yeah, using Revis as a comparison to one's situations was a bit dumb on my part. Bad example on my end.

I guess I should include the bungals on the possibility list. For some reason, I don't immediatly think of them as a NFL team.

The Cardinals would be a surprise. I think some may consider Shipley one of their line's strengths.

Don't know exactly what it means but I read he was released with a failed physical designation.

Just checking around because I was interested as to what it meant as well.

The best I can come up with is Mangold wasn't 100% up front on some health condition that worried the Jets. If Mangold doesn't disclose it to the team, the team can't disclose the information.

Could be the Jets covering themselves as it relates to garenteed monies?

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Could be, I read that teams have done this many times since the rule came in a couple of years ago.

Not sure why they couldn't just cut him. Maybe the NFL takes care of their own....we found out something, now it is up to other teams to find it.

At any rate, he is too old in my book. Now that there are questions about a health issue(I agree it could be something very minor) that seals the deal for me. There are several other decent centers out we can target.

the Jets Regime is desperate. Why I don't think they waste a pick for "ANOTHER" developmental QB. They got to produce this year or they All will be fired.

I think they go for Romo. They cleared money I assume by releasing Mangold. They might go heavy on FA if they can. Also Future draft picks to them is meaningless as they don't have a FUTURE if they do not win in 2017!
