Classic disconnected debacle. CNN continuing to push the corporate democrat agenda, the DNC insiders plan to vote for a corporate establishment democrat and they still expect real progressive and millennials to just fall in line.

If they install Keith Ellison, Sam Ronan or Pete Buttigieg I might support unity, if not I'll support drafting Bernie to start a third party.

I was less than impressed with all the other candidates.

Until we have a legit third party threat, the two incumbent parties won't change their stance based on their own hubris.

It'll take something yuge though. Legitimately yuge.

Ellison would lead a much needed change. He endorses a 50 state model, the most progressive of any of the candidates, a fierce critic of money in politics, and foretold the rise of 46. He could help guide a success progressive agenda.

This thread reminds me of a bunch of guys standing around a large fruit basket, each trying to pick out one more apple from the bottom that is least rotten to the core.

'Country Over Party': Dershowitz to Leave Dems If Ellison Is Elected DNC Chair

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, a high-profile Democrat for decades, said in an op-ed published Friday that he will leave the party if Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) is elected chairman this weekend.

"My loyalty to my country and my principles and my heritage exceeds any loyalty to my party," Dershowitz, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, wrote in "The Hill" newspaper.

Dershowitz recounted Ellison's history of controversial statements and actions many deemed anti-Semitic, including the congressman's history with Louis Farrakhan's "Nation of Islam" movement.

Trump nailed it there... Perez is just another corporate shill. SAD!

They lost a ton of far left progressives today.

I agree, there is nothing "lite" about it.

Yeah, my wife was all annoyed. She wanted the other guy, who is now like the number 2 or whatever. I had to remind her that these people are often just talking figureheads.

I once saw Michael Steele on Jeopardy for Fundraising or something and he was awful. I mean. Terrible. The questions weren't even that hard because they don't want to make these people in the public spotlight look stupid.

Really made me think whether the guy was intelligent at all or if he just was a figure given talking points for some news shows.

Beats me, I'm not a democrat. I don't even know the other guy's name. I think he's from Minnesota

Petey is right as usual and I must say one of the smartest posters on these boards. He is also one of the most handsome I am told.
