Well according to Rotoworld the Browns have placed a 2nd round tender on Isiah Crowell and are looking to ink in a multi year deal...Crowell is part of our talent and glad we didn't let him walk...Hopefully some Pryor news soon...Well good news:)

The second-round tender seems like a teaser to see if other teams show interest because a second rounder isn't that outrageous to give up to sign Crowell. Somewhere in Jacksonville, Tashaun Gipson is calling Crowell to show his support.

So we could still match another team's offer?

If Crow leaves, does that mean this kid who has been on our roster since... forever it seems, Glenn Winston, will get more of an in-depth look?

I think it's more likely that he stays than goes, but I hear there is a lot of hype around Darius Jackson (signed of waivers from Dallas) and you never know what can happen in a draft.

I think all in all...it's prelude to give us time to get his multi year contract worked out. And as far as Glenn Winston I hope this year we move on from that project. Winston has always been a myth here lol

I've never loved Crow...but he is a solid-good back...so its nice to see us not having to fill another hole..Duke is merely a good change of pace back...would love to upgrade that 3rd spot...like someone stated that RB claimed of Dallas has alot of hype...then again odds is its mere hype like the Glenn Winston story lol but we shall see!

If he would just stop leaning forward so much he wouldn't trip over his own gosh darn feet so much.

Crow doesn't break a lot of tackles or make a lot miss but if you give him a crease he's got the burst to take it and not let arms slow him down. If we gets this OL solidified he can be a quality 2nd tier back for a while. That said idk what he wants paid but imo he is not an elite back so it should hurt us to keep him.

I like Crow and think he gets a bit of a bad rap on this board. I'm glad the Brown's FO/Hue want to keep him.

Good move by those in charge.

In fact, I like a lot of what the guys are doing/trying to do this off-season.

is duke in the final year, or does he have 2017 and 2018?

I like Crow but I it would be foolish not to draft a RB also. Its a very strong RB class and if you can get a good one at a low price go for it cause chances are Crow is gonna walk next year as he will be ticked that we gave him a 2nd round tender.

I don't know how I feel about signing Crowell to an extension. On one hand I don't want to create more holes, on the other hand I don't want to miss out on one of the deepest running back drafts ever.

I guess we can re-sign Crowell and then draft a guy in the later rounds who would normally go much earlier.

I think it's a solid move to keep him.

This is a very strong RB class and it seems extremely doubtful to me that anyone would offer a second round pick for the Crow.

That will serve to help drive his price down and make it easier to sign him to a long term deal on the cheap.

Sounds like sound strategy to me.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

We could sign him and still end up taking a running back in the draft. I think we need to fix the O-line more than worry about drafting another running back. I think Crow likes playing here and will work with them to get the contract done. After all Hue has made it very clear he likes our 1-2 punch at HB ever since he first got here.

In the BPA approach, we easily could draft a RB if one truly is the BPA when we pick. But to go into the draft thinking we need to get a RB is not a good move, IMO. We have a lot of holes to fill, and RB is not one we need to address with any urgency.

I just didnt want to loose Crow, simply because it would add another void ontop of QB, FB, WR, C, RT, DE, DT, LB, CB, FS, SS...etc

Is Crow elite...Nope...But better than some teams backs...and FA doesnt really have anyone better than him...well Leveon Bell doesn't count since he's franchised. Still hoping we can get another back (perhaps later in the draft to push both him and Duke)

Good signing...now we need to ink Pryor and Patzor...then go after FS/SS Tony Jefferson, DT Jonathan Hankins, FB Kyle Jusczyk and CB Logan Ryan

How did the duo of Crowell and Duke get so many yards running and catching and yet not find the end zone more?

Oh. and How much it would be if even Once in a while they could both be in the backfield at the same time.

Hardly even seen that.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Has a nose for the goal line
Seems to finish well
I think one of the reasons he goes down quick is cuz he knows when he is surrounded. But I see what some posters are saying... it's like he sorta falls down haha.
I like that he seemed to have made amends for his misguided Instagram post or whatever it was last summer.

Vers, I remember when we 1st signed him. You and I discussed him quite a lot. I had picked him as the UDFA to make the team when we 1st signed him. He really sealed his spot in the final pre-season game where he showed his ability. Unfortunately, we kept West also, instead of Dion Lewis.

Man, what a disappointment West has been.I thought that he was a good pick, but I was really wrong about that. I saw a list of free agents, and he was ranked somewhere around 94 .... and I though that meant that the bottom of this year's free agency must be pretty bad.

Thats an interesting way of looking at it ... lets see where he ranks ...

3rd best back in our division behind Bell and Bernard ...

WOW ... there's no RB's left ... *L* ... holy crap ... now I want to just name the RB's that are true lead backs ... witch Crow is not ...

Anyone know what the snap split was between Crow and Duke ....

Here's the guys I consider bell cows ... they get most of the snaps ...

Bell
McCoy
Ajai
Miller
Gore
Murray
Zeke
Dude from Washington
Gurley
Hyde
Johnson

Thats 11 out of 32 ... damm ....

No wonder why it gets harder and harder to find them in Fantasy ... *L*

Agreed. An O-line with some better run blockers, and a better passing game would help him IMO. I think he runs hard when given a chance. Get him a solid center.

As others have said, there is no reason we don't draft a back this year. He can battle it out with Goerge Atkinson for a roster spot. Crow, Johnson, Jackson, Rookie, and Vitale at FB.

We aren't going with less than that.

100% yes, Match or get their 2nd round pick as compensation.

Not this draft class is considered very strong at RB.

I can see us taking the 2nd round pick and end up taking that kid from Tenn.

Note...just thinking out loud, I happen to like Crowell a lot!
