It was a good game last night, even though our Cavs lost.
I gotta hand it to him: Isaiah Thomas is a pleasure to watch play. And only five foot nine? Wow! Impressive.

what cracked me up is how the announcers kept saying 2 undersized players going at it when talking about Kyrie and Isaiah...yeah i guess 6'3 is undersized for a PG..

Andrew Bogut signs with Cavs | cleveland.com http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2017/03/andrew_bogut_signs_with_cavs.html#incart_2boxATLANTA -- Australian center and former Cavs adversary Andrew Bogut signed his free agent contract to play for Cleveland for the remainder of the season. Bogut will be in uniform for the Cavs when they play the Miami Heat at home on Monday. It means he will miss the team's next two games -- Thursday in Atlanta and Friday in Miami. The contract is for roughly $385,000. Like Deron Williams, Bogut is making a prorated amount from the veteran's minimum of $1.55 million. He's making less than Williams' $407,000 because he signed later. Williams signed Monday and played Wednesday. Bogut, the no. 1 pick of the 2005 draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, cleared waivers on Wednesday. He was acquired by Philadelphia from Dallas last week. He was playing on an $11 million contract this season. Bogut faced the Cavs in the 2015 and 2016 Finals with the Warriors. The 7-foot center gives the Cavs the fourth big man they need. Kevin Love is out for at least a few more weeks recovering from knee surgery, so Bogut will play important minutes right away. Bogut has career averages of 10 points and 8.9 rebounds. This season he was averaging 3.0 points and 8.3 boards with the Mavericks. In 58 playoff games, Bogut is averaging 5.5 points and 7.6 rebounds. Since Jan. 1, the Cavs have traded for Kyle Korver, the fifth-best 3-point shooter in NBA history and signed as free agents Williams, a three-time All-Star, Bogut, and Derrick Williams, the no. 2 overall pick of the 2011 draft. Each time on of them makes his debut, the Cavs lose. But they are nevertheless in first in the East by 3.0 games over Boston, and are coming off a 9-2 record in February. Cleveland's played most of the season without J.R. Smith (thumb surgery) or a backup point guard. "When Korver first got here, we turned down a lot of shots, we didn't do the things we were accustomed to doing because we were trying to get him integrated, make him feel comfortable," Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said. "Once he realized what we do and how we do things and we understood what he liked, I think it was a great fit for us. It's going to be the same for D-Will early, it's going to be the same for Bogut. But once we all get together and get on the right page, we'll be a tough team to beat." Derrick Williams is playing on his second 10-day contract and will be signed for the rest of the season this weekend.

Per Game Stats: k Player Season Age FG% 3P% 2P% eFG% FT% ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS
1 Bogut 16-17 32 .469 .000 .475 .469 .273 2.1 6.2 8.3 1.9 0.5 1.0 1.7 3.2 3.0
2 Mozgov 15-16 29 .565 .143 .574 .567 .716 1.4 3.0 4.4 0.4 0.3 0.8 0.9 2.1 6.3 We really just need him to replicate Mozgov's contributions. Defend against true big-men and not be a liability on Offense or Defense. Moz was a better shooter but Bogut will Rebound much better. He can also create plays with his passing. That 27% Free Throw % is pretty scary though.

Hopefully he'll have enough in the tank to be an effective role player.
Isn't that what the Cavs are thinking?

Isn't that what the Cavs are thinking? They don't even need him for more than a few minutes a game IMO. Rotational guy to spell TT and not make LBJ play at the 5

I agree.
I certainly don't think Bogut is a great player. LOL...But, I do think he can fill a role on this team. He won't be asked to do much, just like you said. He does bring some assets, though:
--Good passer --Decent rim protector --Brings some physicality to the second unit --Experienced player who just might have the right chip on his shoulder should we face Golden State.

Don't forget, the series kinda shifted once Bogut was injured last year

The Cavs now hold both the regular season and playoff records alone for made 3's in a game. Coincidentally, both were against Atlanta.
25-46 tonight 25-45 in the 2016 playoffs
...and no JR or Kevin in the lineup. Atlanta has had a rough sports year.

Is there any doubt that Griffin is the best GM in the NBA? We had no room, no real assets, and no ability to add any impact players. There was all kinds of pressure to add to the team, but few deals were even possible. Despite that, he added Kyle Korvar. Then he claimed Derrick Williams off of waivers. Then he looked around, but held his cards until the trade deadline passed. I don't really think that there were any great deals to be had. Then he waits, and Deron Williams becomes available to cover our backup PG spot ..... and then we add a rim protecting 7 footer in Bogut. Not all of these moves are necessarily for the postseason, but for now, so we don't have to play Lebron, Kyrie, Thompson for horrific minutes. Because of the additions of Korver, Williams, Williams, and Bogut, we can cut back on Kyrie's, Lebron's, and Tristan's minutes now, and give them rest, to keep them fresh. Maybe we can even win a game that Lebron sits out.

it is incredbile what we've been able to muster here I was just thinking about that last week. Doesnt it feel good for a couple Cleveland franchises to be thought of as desirable destinations? Players become available and The Cas are automatically thought of as favorites to land them. and this may not be popular to say, but it all starts with Dan Gilbert, with Lebron a close second. But Dan Gilbert has spent the cash to make the Cavs top flite organization and has done a lot for this city outside of just the Cavs.

No Lebron tonight (Sat.). Perhaps I'll watch somethin' else! Good call, getting destroyed by one of the worst teams in the east...literally have noone other than whiteside(who destroys our bigs) it's amazing we can't figure out how to even be competetive without lebron..that to me is coaching. I hope when all our guys get back we play a few games without lebron and see if we can figure something out...when you have guys like Liggins getting big minutes..nothing good is going to come of that

No Kyrie either. Don't think it's just not playing Lebron, the announcers on FSO said that we've lost to the Heat 12 times now.
Not gonna look it up, but I'm pretty sure Lebron hasn't been rested for all previous 11 games.
