Not much you can tell about a quarterback from what they do at the combine.
No pass rush, no coverage, etc., etc.
However I did watch them them throw some. The top four all threw the ball pretty well. Mahomes has a very easy motion, very natural. He intrigues me.
Trubisky looks good as well.
Just of the top if Garoppolo was in this draft I would rank him ahead of all these guys.

Corey Davis and Mike Williams didn't run today at the combine. I have them neck and neck. Cory won't run because he had ankle surgery in January. Mike wants to run at his pro day (So his time might be artificially low, depending on the surface. OSU has been criticized for its "fast surface" during the pro days.) John Ross might have just ran himself into being the first pick taken. It'd be hard not to take him. He looks like a much better Corey Coleman imo.

Again im not talking about that. We're not talking about the same thing. I am talking about what position he declares himself.
The team can use him however they want.
But if im him (and IF the consensus is that hes good enough ti be a fulltime Wr/slot) then I would want to be classified and drafted as WR. I want to be WR Position group meetings and line up with the receivers at practice and more importantly be paid and have the career of a WR as opposed to RB.

Well I can't do any. And I just think it's funny calling 18 reps at 225 on a bench press pitiful for a guy who plays football (and doesn't bench press) for a living. Pretty silly calling it pitiful at all. You my friend are not trying to have a career in the NFL. For an average guy who may be 5"10 160 pounds 18 reps would be good. For an aspiring 6'7 310 pound offensive lineman who wants to play in the NFL it's Girly

Was a little disappointed with Allen at the bench, only 21. Would have liked to seen 28 at least. But I understand it to an extent, with all the shoulder issues, probably didn't get a lot of time in the weight room. He looks stronger then that on the field.
I didn't realize the new bench was an issue, thanks for that article, PDawg...
Was very impressed Garrett at the bench, 33, I did not see that coming.
How about the TE's showing up and really impressing?

This makes no sense to me. He is going to see time at both RB and they will put him in the slot and even line him out wide at times. Everyone knows that. There is absolutely no need to declare himself as anything other than a football player.

How about the TE's showing up and really impressing? That is a good point about the tight ends. For a team like the Browns devoid of offense play makers they should look to grab one of these unique athletic tight ends.

I've been saying for months the Browns need a TE. Barnidge has hit his ceiling already He's never going to reach 800 to 1000 yds again The game has changed so much on offense the TE is asked to Be pass catcher first that moves around and a run blocker 2nd Their isnt one TE on the Browns roster that screams big play ability

Don't be surprised if the Browns take OJ Howard at 12 if they take a QB at 1.

Anyone see where Foster is leaving the Combine after getting into an argument w/a hospital employee?
Not smart! Maybe he falls to us. I'd take him at 12 in a heartbeat. Me too. Would love him - but only if Adams and Hooker are off the board. I'd rather have one of the top safeties.

I'd be leery about the shoulders. I don't know the extent of the injury but I do remember how it ended Tony Boselli's career. It's a red flag to me.

I'm 230lbs and i can do 23-25 pretty regularly. Allen with 21 is appalling for Dline. Garrett with 33 at 270lbs is impressive..just proving how much of a freak he is. Gedeon the LB from michigan with 27 was impressive too

Faster than a handful of WRs and 12 more presses than Allen as well. With his tape to back it up does this confirm he is a freak and NEEDS to be our #1? I like Allen too but, man....what a great Combine.

I think Garrett is going to be a star in the NFL and I want it to be with the Browns. I don't know if he can be JJ Watt good - but I think he's going to be really, really dang good.

Solomon Thomas clocked 4.69 in the 40, 30 reps.
Trey Hendrickson clocked 4.65.
Jordan Willis (4.53) and Takk McKinley (4.59).
McKinley has 24 reps as did Willis.
Some freakish athletes along the DL.

MG is no longer a no-brainer for me ... he's still in the lead but I'm getting more and more comfie with Mitch ... still plenty of film to watch on both ... by April ... who knows where I'll be ..

I like Allen too but, man....what a great Combine. Garrett has the production and tape of a guy that should go go number one. He also has the measurables of a guy who kills the combine and shoots up the draft board. We have to take him #1. Per @PFF_College:
Myles Garrett 31 sacks, 35 QB hits, 98 QB hurries.
Good enough for me. https://twitter.com/nfldraftscout/status/838440519118254080I assume talk of Myles Garrett lacking production is b/c sack total leveled out - this is misguided. Top 5 pass rush grade 3-straight yrs. https://twitter.com/PFF_Josh/status/838444557008195585

You really think any of these QB's may turn into a Hall of Fame QB? The Browns, currently need as many "sure things" as they can get, since they lack talent. Gambling on a QB in this draft in the first round, is a roll of the dice at best. Each of them have HUGE red flags. TBH, if Kirk Cousins was available for say, the 12th pick? That might be worth taking a chance on, since he's already got a proven track record.

If the Browns do select Myles Garrett there two starting DE's would each have posted top 5 40 yard dashes for players over 270 in combine history.
Garrett - 4.64 Ogbah - 4.63
Not a bad start for book end DE's that the Browns could have to run their new 4-3 defense.
Watching the linebackers work out and thinking how the Browns could really improve team defensive speed in the top of this draft. Some mocks have Peppers falling into the 2nd round at #33 he would be a steal SS at that spot. I would also like Raekwon McMillian and his 4.6 at middle linebacker. With Collins and Kirksey moving outside the pass rush and run stopping ability would be greatly improved.

Not only that, you actually have depth at the DE position with Nassib and that other DE you've had for a bit. I'd possibly consider getting another DT since Bryant is injury prone though.

Garret with his 4.64 40 time...41 inch vertical, 33 reps at 225 lbs...and nearly 83 inch reach...just nasty, we better be taking him for sure.

That decision would put their job on the line. Even if Garrett was an insane DE and hall of famer if the QB had an Eli Manning, Phillip Rivers, Joe Flacco career. For this franchise it would be a great pick.
