One thing to think about is Brock is cheaper than franchising Jimmy G. for 2 years for a NE trade. If we sent Brock, ate his cap hit, and sent them picks for Jimmy G. then that would rock the entire NFL.

They know they ain't getting the #1 pick. This deal might not happen till the draft and pick 12 is sitting there with a stud player they want available.
One thing I would consider doing is using some for those 2nd round pick to move up from 12 and grab Allen. I love Jimmy G. but if NE is going to act stupid then you just move on. God garret and allen on the same line would be so fun to watch!

Yeah they are looking to rob us...Hopefully our FO isn't naive and gives them what they want...that's what scares me most. I wouldn't worry about our front office getting taking out to the woodshed with regards to trades. It seems they have a very good idea of how to value draft picks.

I've said it before, and while I hope I'm wrong, I still believe the only reason Garoppolo is in play is that BB wants Garrett. Otherwise, he's trading away his insurance policy against Brady's inevitable decline.
