RT subject to change IMO, but wow. That's spicy and it's the kind of spicy that I like!

I sense power running right up the gut with this build. And a lot of it, too.

Coleman has a legit shot. He did OK as a rookie. He could see significant improvement. Greco and even Erving might challenge. . . . I'd say it looks good. And we have depth.

I really like the additions today. Zeitler was my #1 hope. So glad we signed him

I'd need to check, maybe. Listening to the 1-3pm show on 850am today I know the hosts were fairly confident Coleman has a shot at being RT. I know one of our RTs got a decent grade from PFF and played 3 or 4 games??

Just for reference, Erving was the only other Tackle for the Browns with a grade...39.6

Drango at OG was 72.2, Greco was 81.5, and Bailey was 53.1

Going to be really fun watching Crow and Duke run with some holes in front of them.

Okay, thanks.

I am not positive, but I thought he only got in at RT in that last game. I could be wrong.

But whatever........our OL is certainly a lot better today than it was yesterday.

Got the best Center and Guard available? Ill take that! Not retaining Mack and Schwartz last year sort of hurts now. Our line might of been Cowboy-esqe!

The myth of Schwartz's pro-bowl or HOF level play escalates daily it seems. . . I wanted Schwartz to stay, I think it was mishandled when he left ... But I don't think in the long run we're missing him that much. His play last year was rated a couple points higher than Coleman according to PFF. I'd have to look it up to be sure.

Come on! How can you compare him to Coleman, when the latter played less than one full game at RT?

People go off on mac [rightfully so] for outrageous comments, but comments just as outrageous [on the homer side] are made constantly and no one bats an eye.

Thank you. I batted an eye but you took care of it.

I'd like to know how PFF compares the ratings they gave us to other OL's around the league. The numbers they gave our guys mean nothing to me without some comparison. Not saying it's BS, just that I don't anything about it.

Most of those 7 games was on Special Teams.

He played basically ONE QUARTER of Offense. He did play well in that quarter. But there is no definite Evaluation on him.

We can only PROJECT our OPINIONS.

I thought he came into the picture with very good foot work and technical skills. He did show that in his short stint. I am assuming that he worked hard in the offseason on his conditioning and is a little quicker and stronger.

He has a full year in our Offensive System and should feel more comfortable. We have a pretty quick and strong OL now which Coleman would fit in. I think Erving will give him a run for his money if he is on our Roster which he probably will be.

This is more like it. Should help the points and TOP if we get solid improvement out of this upgrade. Can we be tougher in our division? I think we can, I think we can . . . .

Champion my causes? I don't even know what you mean.

I was simply saying that it's not correct to try and compare Coleman to Schwartz.

RT and OC are still ?? until we see how Tretter / Reiter / Coleman / Erving / Drango / Greco compete for roles and perform I guess. We made some good strides yesterday but it needs to translate to better play on the field. Hell, if we pick up an UDFA OL who ends up starting at a decent level I'd be happy. Don't care who they are as long as they give us performance and attitude.

From yesterday's conversation I thought somebody mentioned he played 7 games - I just looked it up. He took 62 snaps.

Anyway the point is not to compare Schwartz to Coleman. And maybe mentioning Coleman distracted from my point. The point is that while I thought it was a mistake to not resign him, he is not the same caliber as Mack, not close. AND without the same rash of injuries as we struggled with last year, this year I expect our RT play to be competent without Schwartz.

My question had nothing to do with your opinion of Coleman but asking HOMERS to post the way you think they should post. Its insulting to us HOMERS... wink

So then where did you come up with him grading out better than Schwartz?

this was a smart move by our FO. OL have been tough to draft recently due to the spread O in college ... we basically got proven commodities. (plus, this year's draft is not good at the OL spots)

So we can now totally focus on DB, QB, and skill guys

I didn't say that. Please show me where I said something that could even be twisted out of context to suggest that I said that......

No problem, and I muddied my message when I mentioned Coleman.... Again - my intended point wasn't that Coleman is good or going to be a future star. My point being that while I like Schwartz, I just don't think it was such a cardinal sin when we didn't resign him. A mistake yes. Something that should be branded on this FO and never to be forgotten and always to be regurgitated anytime a poster doesn't like a move? No. . . . and truth be told we don't know all the facts about that situation.

I happen to like PFF a lot and place a lot of credit in their reviews.... Schwartz played a full season which counts for a lot, he's more than solid/average. But saying the Browns would have the same OL play as the Cowboys because of Schwartz being here ... I disagree.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Fair enough. However, there were times where it was close and we wouldn't run the ball.

Crow needs to get the ball 20+ times a game. I am not sure Hue can do that. I hope so.

I think the coaching staff made plenty of game management and game call mistakes last year. I am certain it chaffed Hue and I think Hue's honest enough to accept the responsibility. I also think some of the cuteness was trying to compensate for a weak roster. . . . . The thing I am personally most certain of is that Hue really, really, really wants to win (or hates losing - take your pick). I think with the OL - there is every chance Crow will carry the rock a lot. Duke too. Whatever it takes to win.
