Thomas - Bitonio- Tretter- Zeitler - Coleman?
Sorry, folks. Greco's on his last run. May last this season, but he's done after that. Greco is a perfect backup. For this year. Sure.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Sorry, folks. Greco's on his last run. May last this season, but he's done after that. You are likely correct, Memphis. Certainly has lost his starting spot unless an OG goes down to injury or Bitonio is moved to RT...

Yeah we just put a boat load of money on two young OGs and also signed the presumably best Center out there in FA. Now it is true that the Center has had injuries.
Greco needs to still heal but he could prove valuable around mid season if we need him for an Interior replacement if one of our guys gets injured. Without much downgrade.
Just curious ya think Greco could play RT??? Although I got a feeling the Kid Coleman is going to surprise us!
Well good to see Joe T excited!

I'd rather have a VERY GOOD Center then an average to mediocre OT??? Again I have no clue on his prowess at OT.

Me either. Just pointing out that he has done it. He started out as a LT and moved to Center. http://archive.jsonline.com/sports/packe...-234857661.htmlBut has been pretty much a great utility lineman for his 4 years at GB. http://www.packers.com/news-and-events/a...e4-8707b2fd2075 GREEN BAY – The compliment doesn’t get tossed around every day, especially not for a player who’s never been a regular starter in the NFL. “He’s a complete professional,” Packers’ offensive line coach James Campen said of JC Tretter. “The guy does everything right. Just a true professional player.” As he enters his fourth season in Green Bay, Tretter’s professionalism has been on display in a number of ways, first and foremost via his perseverance through injuries. As a rookie fourth-round draft pick out of Cornell in 2013, Tretter suffered a nasty ankle injury in the first OTA practice of the spring. After an arduous rehab, he finally returned to practice in mid-November and was on the active roster in early December, but he never played a snap in a game. Then in 2014, Tretter was slated to be the Packers’ starting center after Evan Dietrich-Smith departed in free agency. He held down the No. 1 job all through the spring and summer until injuring his knee in the third preseason game. Replaced by rookie Corey Linsley, Tretter plowed through another rehab, got back on the roster in early November and became a “super sub” at multiple positions the rest of the season. It was a tough break. The second injury cost him a starting job, and to Linsley’s credit, Tretter hasn’t gotten it back. To Tretter’s credit, he never complained. VIEW GALLERY | 28 Photos 2015 in photos: C/G JC Tretter Instead, heading into 2015, Tretter dedicated himself to being whatever was needed – a versatile backup, a special-teams blocker – and worked at those tasks as hard as he rehabbed his first two years. The jumping around on the line late in 2014 became good preparation for his third season. After filling in admirably at center for three games when Linsley was hurt, Tretter stepped in at left tackle in the NFC Wild Card playoff game at Washington as the Packers struggled to adequately replace the injured David Bakhtiari. Turning in what Campen called an “outstanding” performance, Tretter shook off an early sack/safety and – in true successful O-line fashion – wasn’t heard from again the rest of the game. “He’s a very confident person, and the reason he allows himself to be confident is he prepares all the time,” said Campen, adding that Tretter has the right marriage of mental acuity and athleticism to play both inside or outside up front. “He’ll be ready. He’s one of those guys, when his name is called, it doesn’t matter where it is. You can count on him.” Which brings us to 2016. Tretter is in the same place he was last year – without a starting job, but a valuable, versatile backup. And he’s going about his business in the same head-down, hardworking way, even in the final year of his rookie contract with the future largely uncertain. “I don’t think too different at all. I’ve kept the same mentality all four years,” Tretter said. “Obviously the first two didn’t go as planned, and last year went a little better. So, you just come to work every day. You prepare and focus, and the contract stuff will work itself out whenever it does.” Tretter has the skills to start at center in the NFL. He proved that last year, and his ability to move around, while impressive, doesn’t change the fact that center is his best spot. He could hunt for that starting opportunity after the 2016 season as a free agent, but he’s not getting caught up in that now. As a player whose first two seasons were derailed in ways beyond his control, there’s no point in thinking ahead. “You have an agent for a reason. He can handle anything like that. You’re focused on playing,” Tretter said. “If you don’t take care of what’s on the field, the contract’s not going to work out for you too well.” This spring, Tretter took the lion’s share of the snaps at center with the No. 1 unit while Linsley sat out with an undisclosed injury, but Linsley has said he has no concerns about being ready for training camp. Although Tretter enjoyed some consistency of place for the first time in a while, he’s not going to let himself get settled anywhere for the long haul, not after the way last year went. He may not be needed as a backup tackle again. The first nod there presumably would go to second-round draft pick Jason Spriggs, but there are two tackle spots, and stranger things have happened. “You have to be ready to move around,” Tretter said. “You never know.” No, you don’t, but no matter what occurs, Tretter will be prepared. A complete professional always is.

After all that happened today.
I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the 2-3 terrible terrible things that will probably happen before the season starts.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

As the video plays, note how many 4th quarter interceptions he throws when the game is close.
What a dink.

The Pryor thread is locked. So, no news yet? Last we heard he was to visit the dumpster fire (how often do we Cleveland fans get to point to another organization and shake our heads?) in DC last night.

Jc...the Rams and 49ers have alot of money...then oddly anyone notice the rams cut several players just a few hours ago...perhaps they are clearing room for Pryor (and Goff does need more weapons) Pryor is the best wide out available by far...and I wonder if the 49ers will come calling as all they have is Garcon and a bunch of bottom end receivers

Don't laugh, as time moves on & number starts to settle, this would be situation Pitt takes advantage of.
He might be had on a cap friendly 2 yr. deal.
Boy, I hope that doesn't happen, the city & this board will implode.

Seems like there may be no market for a 6th year, 2nd-3rd year WR with a limited body of work. He literally did nothing in 2014, and was hurt all of 2015. So he goes out and has a decent season in a contract year. That was good for us, but I can see why teams are hesitant to pony up top ten WR money on 1 year's worth of work, and his potential alone. At least with Brit, we overpaid for a guy with experience. I just hope he shows up everyday and has his drops under control. As far as Pryor goes, I think it looks pretty good right now that he'll be back in Cleveland when it's all said and done.

Selfishly, I now hope Pryor doesn't get close to his number I understand the feeling and the frustration - and the desire to tell Pryor the offer (whatever it is or was) is only good for so many hours .... But this is a business. I don't begrudge the FO deciding what Pryor's value is and not over spending on Pryor ... and I don't begrudge Pryor shopping if he didn't feel the offer was what he wanted. This is Pryor's one chance to land a huge contract. And while most of us would be happy with a fraction of the money being talked about - that just makes us even more frustrated I think. I'd leave the original offer on the table for Pryor and hope he comes around. Clearly he's not getting what his agent led him to believe he was due ... I hope someone is talking to Pryor and making him realize the Browns offer was fair and not an insult etc. . . . . with as much cap space as we still have I would really hope we are still very much in the hunt for Pryor.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Just speculating...
Does anything think the reason Pryor is running around out there looking for a contract because he's afraid (maybe not the most accurate word) of getting 'Schwartz'd'? That, because he's testing FA, he doesn't see a bridge behind him back to Cleveland?
I was critical of the handling of Schwartz when he allegedly tried to come back after testing the market. I could see how the message would be sent that, if you do try to test the market after getting an offer from us, you better leverage the hell out of that deal because you won't be able to come back. In essence, that deal is now only good for leveraging, since the Browns won't honor it anymore.
Does that make sense?
