That's a lot to give up for a WR who isn't all that big and not a complete WR.

That's a lot to give up for a WR who isn't all that big and not a complete WR. The Patriots are pretty smart with their FA's (although Michael Floyd and Chad Johnson weren't great pickups). I think they have a plan for him and think he fits what they want to do in their system well. They don't give up Draft Picks that easy. At least not one that high. I think they know what they're doing

I think they know what they're doing they want some more of those smaller elite players. They are seeing OBJ, AB, and a few other guys tear it up. i think it's smart for them to do this. it's why i didn't have a problem with us picking coleman.

Bill said something in the Superbowl about being down 25 points to the faster team. It looks like he is adding some speed.

8:21 PM: So I guess the big news that was happening just as I was walking in the door earlier was that the Patriots traded their first-round pick (No. 32) and the compensatory pick in the third round from Cleveland (via the Jamie Collins trade) to the Saints for WR Brandin Cooks. New England is heavily short on draft picks this year, should they decide they need some (from Cleveland) for QB Jimmy Garoppolo. Dianna Russini ✔ @diannaESPN TRADE! The Patriots have traded their #32 & 3rd #103 pick to the Saints for wide receiver Brandin Cooks & their 4th #118 pick per sources 7:37 PM - 10 Mar 2017 http://www.dawgsbynature.com/2017/3/10/1...-and-more-day-2

So...this is the first year comp picks are trade-able, and our 3rd round comp pick was the first one traded, it is really making the rounds. I wonder if it will be traded again before someone actually picks a player?
