Good. They can try again with something better. Spicer ust briefed the WH. Apparently their feelings on this is that if it doesn't passes then they are gonna move on to other things for now. Which honestly I get. Trump's agenda on tax reform and infrastructure needs attention, and as president they can't be spending so much time on one issues when they have so many to address.

Except the republicans represents conservative ideology, in general. It's why you voted republican in the general election, and probably mid terms as well. So you can try and fight the label all you want, save it for somebody who cares.
Yea, I defend obama and the ACA because I believe in obama and I believe the ACA was the first painful step into fixing our healthcare system. Everybody knows how I feel on thisso thanks captain obvious.
You responded to me, first. So apparently you DO want to chat with it. If you wasn't ready for a debate then don't come at me in the first place, bruh. Come correct or don't come at all. Oh ok ... are them the rules .. *LOL* .. I voted for Trump ... hes about as republican as Bernie is democratic .. *L* .. I voted for YOUR RAPIST TWICE ... i then voted for Bush twice ... then i couldn't pull the lever fro McCain and i had no clue why anyone thought a community organizer should be president ... then i voted for Romney .. Downballot .. Prolly 60 - 40 ... I didn't know just how much u loved oBUMa til just now .. i actually thought u could think for yourself .. i was wrong once again ... *L* .... u act like I've been on this side for years and that i read everything u write ... *L* .. your so blinded by your love of oBUMa its not worth the time .. same reason I won't try and have a decent convo with U .. its FRUITLESS ... your COLOR BLIND ...

Good. They can try again with something better. Yeah, in a year or two....who knew that healthcare was tough?

My rapist twice? That means that's also your rapist, by your own logic. I wasn't old enough to vote for Clinton. So I dunno how I'm responsible for that but ok.
This is your second time whining about not being worth the time. Your actions arent lining up with your rhetoric. Obviously I am worth the time.

You would think a party that repeatedly voted to get rid of the ACA would at least have had a plan ready years ago.
I think they feel more comfortable not being the party in control because it's easier to complain about the government than to actually govern.

So sad, What a disaster right? They have complete control and still can't do anything. They've done nothing. Nothing but talk. Nothing but hate. No plans for Tax reforms. No Plans for immigration. No plans for infrastructure. No plans for anything but war. I hear America last, not first.

I wouldn't say that. I do think the execution of this healthcareless act has been a disaster to this point, but I believe he simply put things in the wrong order.
Had he went with more popular ideas first, I believe he could have built up his political capital. Tax cuts should have been first. That's something the GOP could have rallied around with ease. His popularity is even less than when he was elected. Passsing something like tax cuts first would most likely have increased his popularity giving him a better approval rating and making it harder for GOP congressmen to stand up against him and Ryan.
As it stands, those congressman are more worried about their home districts than they are about the impact of going against Trump. As of now, the House Freedom Caucus, aka... the Tea Party are the group mostly standing in the way as of now. There are also more moderate Republicans who don't like the bill.
Congressman ideally represent the people in their districts. Many in the GOP depend on independent voters and walk a fine line in their district on being re-elected. They won't simply fall in line at their own risk.
Politics and business will never be the same thing. I believe that Trump is finding that out first hand.
I have no idea if they have more solid plans for all of the items you mentioned and don't claim to know. So I wouldn't go as far to say that they have no solid plans in reference to them.

They don't have solid plans on anything, especially, tax reform and infrastructure spending. They hinged those as "to dos" after Trumpcare passed which is a disaster and dead on arrival now. So now we wait and see the next boondoggle bill to come out of the Republican administration that wasn't planned out very well. Let's thank our lucky stars that our for-fathers saw this coming 200 years ago.

The tears right now from conservatives on social media.
Lol.
GOP got the majority, yet here in crunch time, all they did was wet the bed.
Fox News Sheppard smith said this just made getting their tax reform agenda through so much harder. Burned up a lot of political capital.
Fox News can't even spin this one.

I know you aren't very old bro and I don't know how much attention you paid to politics 8 years ago, but the dems controlled everything for a while under Obama and did nothing but whine about how obstructionist the republicans were... all that was old is new again.

Except the Dems still got together and pushed their plans through.
Regardless of what side of the isle you're on, one of the things that come with leadership is getting a unity on certain policies to pass.
Obama under the Dems proved that they could at least further their view on America.
So far, republicans are only good at whining. Major legislation push right now: 0-1. And trump took no blame, even though he's in charge.
Hopefully y'all can get it together for tax reform in the coming months.

Liberals are the biggest whiners on the planet. Just look at this forum for proof. I guess Obama lacked leadership then since he uttlerly failed to fix Obamacare or work with the republicans.

This is far from crunch time, the guy hasn't been president for three months yet.
Noah's street get it through his comb over covered skull that in this country he will never be referred to as your majesty.
We decide who is in congress and his blustering won't get him elected again if he tries to throw the people we elected under the bus.
If they don't do their jobs, we're more than capable of letting them study the under carriage of a large multi person vehicle all by ourselves.

Well trump specifically said repeal and replace, that it was gonna be so easy, that in the first 100 days he was gonna get it done.
This defeat was so bad that they are talking about moving on to completely different issues.
He said everyone was gonna be covered, the plans will be better and cheaper.
None of that was offered in that bill. So much so that republicans had to break ranks and vote no. Hell they had so many from their own party say no, the bill didn't even go up for a vote.
This is a failure if you're a conservative who voted republican if you wanted the ACA replaced.
Just speaking strictly political strategy, if you guys can't nail the tax reform bill, the mid terms aren't gonna be a happy place for the GOP.

Defeat? Yes and no. He didn't lose to the democrats, he lost to those who put him in office because this wasn't what he (and every politician with an R after their name campaigned on) promised.
Think of this too, the insurance lobby lost as well. I'm sure they'd have rather had this bill than what Rand Paul was proposing.

I can't say that I'm happy, but I have hope from some Repubs showing some guts and breaking rank when needed.

I agree the that insurance lobby lost.
But how many congressmen does the IL(let's shorten that) have in their pockets?
Insurance love young people because they are the lowest risk. This bill was gonna screw over a TON of people.
Honestly, they need to just try and tweak the ACA. Letting the ACA fall will be political suicide for the GOP, as their voters are gonna demand answers to why they didn't do something to fix the bill and just act like a bunch of spoiled kids and do nothing about it.

Sounds like it's time for medicare for all. Trump needs to get behind the most popular plan in America. Oh well, looks like he's giving up on this for now. That's his MO. When things don't go his way, he walks away. Then blames everyone else.

Obamacare is a miserable failure. It's a failure because it failed to address the high cost of healthcare. It's Obama's fault because he let it happen and he did nothing about it when it became completly obvious it was going to tank. Some don't want to accept its a failure economically because they want to try and hold onto their narrative and theory that a big government program works. To me anything (besides military) dealing with the government is inefficient, too big, they don't know how to run things at all, spend other peoples money and waste it all day! To me wanting more large government programs to fix things is the definition of insanity. They can't handle things now as it is, what makes you think they can handle it if multiple programs get larger, there's more regulation? Just throw more money at it, wrong answer. Because I'm against government waste and see how Washington manages things currently, and always has, that is why I don't trust them because I think they're corrupt morons who have no clue how to get things done. There are some good people but others need to be dismissed immediately. There are some who are absolutely crazy and I think they're senile. The situation is utterly ridiculous and I am fed up with it. \Rant off.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

Republicans need to learn how to lead. 8 years bro. They had 8 years to come up with something. Nah, they only had 7 years! This is what happens when you campaign on something and then do the opposite on this side of the aisle. When W nominated that little old lady for a seat on the Supreme Court everyone on the right lit their hair on fire and put a stop to it. When he wanted to do some kind of amnesty we again lit our hair on fire and put a stop to that. And again, our hair is on fire and we're not putting up with anything less than what we were told would happen. They better learn this time, or like you said, the mid terms are not going to be pretty.

I hate Twitter. I'm not a participating part of Twitter.
It's the one social medium that seems to seems to circumvent a person's 'social filter,' and prompts base-level ego-inspired flames.
In short: Use of Twitter has the potential of reducing every user to becoming Smack Shack-level trolls.
Case in point:
This is a tweet from Senator Bob Menendez: "Hey, Republicans... don't worry, that burn is covered under the Affordable Care Act."
[insert 'derisive laugh track' here]

Please.
I hate Twitter because it makes dudes like this look foolish to guys like Harry Truman, Paul Brown and My Pops. Folks who set my personal standards for me.

Even when Clem rants, Clem teaches. They are not doing a good job of representing us, and we've allowed it.
We as a people need to unite against our government and hold them to their word to us, not the people that funded their reelection.
This is why term limits are so important. Even the founders knew that if an elected official was going to be living under the laws that they wrote, they would take more care when writing law.

Just speaking strictly political strategy, if you guys can't nail the tax reform bill, the mid terms aren't gonna be a happy place for the GOP. This is what makes no sense. Trump said he had a wonderful plan, but he never showed it. All he did was endorse Ryan's plan. Since he said there was no plan B, he must have never had a healthcare plan of his own. Now one has to wonder if he has a tax reform plan, or is just going to endorse whatever the House comes up with. Like with the infrastructure plan, these are large items that they need to take their time with and not just toss something out there so they look like they are doing something.
