This is why I railed so hard against the SCOTUS' 'Citizens United' ruling when it was passed down. At that time, it wasn't a partisan rant on my part, because I always knew that R or D, such a ruling would take influence from guys (and gals) like you and me- and place it in the hands of those with enough money to 'buy the rules that determine the game.'

Little guys like us (who bend both Rep and Dem) aren't really represented by our 'representatives,' so long as Big Money can buy those whom we've elected.

I don't know what the solution to this problem is... but I do know that The Problem infects everything this nation tries to do...

...and I instinctively know that this trend won't change without a grassroots populist uprising.

We need a cross-cultural, pan-ethnic social revolution in this country- and it's coming, my friend. The conservative-leaning Euro-Americans who predominate this message board are starting to get screwed in the same manner that My Folk have always been 'phallused.' It's only a matter of time until they join the ranks of those of us who have always seen how The Man operates.

The Ruling Class' game of pitting various American factions against themselves (read: "divide and conquer") has reached critical mass. Folks like You and me are starting to catch on. We're not falling for those old, tired 'company fallbacks' any more.

I personally didn't have a problem with dem leadership. I voted for them (general election, Ohio congressman and senators) and for me they represented (in general, not perfect
By any means) my beliefs and views on how to continue moving the country forward. My issue with them now is with regards to the DNC's crap during the season. Really screwed themselves. But if the GOP continues down this path, the Dems will bounce back.

Conservatives voted for all of this. So to complain about the leadership that they voted for is mind boggling to say the least. The GOP has shown the last seven years that they can't get much of anything accomplished, that all they were interested in was saying No to anything Obama proposed, that their #1 agenda was to repeal and replace the ACA. They literally had no other plan.

And guess what Clem? The conservatives on this board and around the country voted for their asses anyway.

They don't deserve crap except what's currently in congress and in the oval. They put those guys there. Suck it up. This is what they voted for.

I have been busy and finally got back to the Boards.

I congratulate the Democrats on this victory of keeping ObamaCare as the Law of the Land.

I am sorry to see the Republicans fractured as a party but do understand the Conservatives not wanting to approve a new Welfare program as they see it.

I am sorry Trump was not able to negotiate the deal and wonder how much else he can get done with zero Democrats and only 2/3 of Republicans behind him.

I am THRILLED that I won't have to hear 4 years of crying over TrumpCare failing here and hurting us there. The Republicans will no longer be holding their next Convention in a school gym as some on here have suggested.

Those days are behind us now as the Democrats celebrate their victory and the American people celebrate life under ObamaCare.

what I dont get is why not take the parts of The ACA that work, and keep them, and tweak the whole thing to make it better? Financialy, wouldnt that make the most sense? Or is this just a big ego thing?

Well the real problem is people think that health care is a luxury and not a necessity in today's world. As a result people think it needs more or less funding and who should pay for it. Any type of solution, where you combine the two, will end up failing in the long run. Even if most of America's healthcare problems are self induced. As in people turn into patients, because they don't take care of themselves. Then they just want to take a pill to "fix" them. Until there can be discussions on solutions, we'll have nothing.

So you agree we should receive the same healthcare that 46 receives? Why not write to him, and propose he gives all Americans the same healthcare that he receives?

3. 46 wants to give better healthcare to all Americans.

10=healthcare for Americans.
