It really wasn't my "favorite to listen to"...................but it's second only to "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye in getting me shall we say "sexual satisfaction" when I was much younger!
And ya gotta love THAT!

Ah yes...Grand Funk without Mark Farner and the Guess Who without Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings. You'll notice a HUGE difference...it won't be pretty.

[quote/)... nice song Lamp, When the Heart rules the Mind: GTR, this was a group made up of members of YES and GENESIS.
Yep, glad I'm not the only one who remembers this song. Steve Howe (GREAT guitarist), Steve Hackett, and some other dudes whose names I don't know. One album and done, IIRC.
well Lamp, there is supposedly a 2nd unreleased album. Also, there was the band Asia, which I believe also had members of YES in it, well at least one anyways, Steve Hackett, they were a two hit wonder band. Only time will tell and Heat of the Moment.
Yeah, for about another month and a half I'm living in Largo on the Largo/Seminole border. Then I'm moving far far away to Montana. There are a lot of us on these boards in this general area.
In 1990 I was in a band signed to Geffen Records called "Salty Dog" we had one "semi-hit" with the track "Come Along",....most people remember it as the Hot Dog Bun song....
Blind Melon- No Rain Marcy Playground- Sex and Candy House of Paine- Jump Around Georgia Satellites- Keep your hands to yourself Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen- Hot Rod Lincoln Ram Jam- Black Betty
Had to look up a list of one hit wonders but these are ones I liked from that list.
Wow, Dog, you were in Salty Dog? I remember them, had the CD, that song rocked. There was another song on that CD that I liked too, can't remember the name though, something like, Ring My Bell? Anyways, cool that you did something anyways. What did you play? Vocals, drums, guitar, or bass?

Funny thing about growing up if you listenned to "Top 40". Which untill I was about 13 or 14,was what I was surrounded by most other than at home.
But then the University of Dayton's WVUD got hold of me.
But those songs from back then were played over and over and over. I mean you either REALLY like the song a LOT or you would get SO tired of it,just hearing it made you wanna puke!
Now,the one's I listed,I really like, still. So I guess ya know where I'm going with the rest of them.
JMHO

I can understand not liking Harper Valley PTA, and Rose Garden.... They were both considered "Country" back then...LOL Rose Garden was the fav of a girl I dated back in high school... If you remember the lyrics, I think you'll understand where that relationship went...
Rose Garden wasn't too bad, but I really liked the TV movie with Barbara Eden...
If you liked In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, I can understand not caring for One Tin Soldier.... but how could anyone not like Alley Oop.....
