Dang! It's been a long day. I read that as being in the top 1 percent of safest cities and thought, "wow I wouldn't have expected that." Then I got confused by 100 percent being safest and scratched my head for a good 10 seconds before figuring it out.

"You kids today with your loud music, your Dan Fogelberg, your Zima, hula hoops, and Pac-man videos games. Attention spans today can only be measured in nanoseconds." This move hits close to home, but I'll move on tomorrow to whatever is trending on Twitter; like a video of a giant chicken or an argument about the color of a prom dress.

I just don't see this team having a great new fan base. The population of Las Vegas is pretty transient, folks go there, work for a few years, then leave.
I suspect the stadium will almost always be full but it will be full of general tourists, fans from visiting teams who wanted a 3 or 4 day trip to Vegas anyway, and folks who got free tickets from the casinos..

Maybe so, but it is about selling tickets to the show.
No doubt it will become a fan travel game destination.
Kind of like New Orleans, and to a lesser extent, Nashville. Both are great places to spend a 3-4 day weekend/mini vacation.

It also pulls in more viewers from another Top 40 TV market, and one that is booming - Vegas is larger than Jacksonville, New Orleans, Buffalo and not much smaller than Cinci & Kansas City and could challenge the likes of Baltimore, Indy, Nashville and San Diego in just a few years time. Previously, they were splitting the Bay area market with the 49ers.
Larger TV market means more lucrative TV deals for the next CBA.... and that is where the REAL money lies.
