My go-to hotdog is chili, chopped onion, and yellow mustard... though I can eat them many different ways.. especially with ketchup, when I'm feeling like being a kid again.

I'm okay with that until you get to peppers.

*Raises hand*

I edited my post to add my favorite toppings.

I know a lot of people sin pineapple as a topping, but it's freaking magical, as long as it's fresh and not canned. Crunch and chew of the crust, acid of the tomato sauce, fatty+burnt flavor of the bacon, sweetness from the pineapple & spicy splash of the Tabasco. #Perfection I guess I left the cheese out. Oh well.

I first really started liking pineapple on pizza when I went to Australia in the late 90's - they put it on just about every pizza. If you don't want it they look at you as if you are asking for pizza without cheese or sauce.

For those in the Toledo area check out The Village Idiot in Maumee or Jo Jo's. Haven't found anyplace in cbus I like as much as those 2 places.

Have you had Rotolo's on 5th in Grandview? That's some good stuff there. People drive from Westerville to get it.

Then there's Panzera's on Grandview in Grandview. Pretty good as well.

Enrico's onFrantz Rd., same family as the Rotolo's.

It would be a drive for you, but up in Delaware there's this place called Gabby's on 315 just before you hit 23, awesome Stromboli. Not big on their pizza.

Just south of Hyatts Rd on 23 (again, long drive for you) there's this place called the Pizza Cabin. Pretty good stuff there too.

I like bacon, pepperonni on stuff crust.

How am I a vegan when I'm eating something made out of cheese? I need to know why you're hating, Swish.

Pineapple pizza is easily the best. Nothing better than tasting a combination of a savory meat, hot sauce and the sweet delicacy of a pineapple. My pizzas are a freaking orchestra. Full of grace, fluidity and counterpoint. Every bite I take brings me closer to God. While you're over there hating and eating a soggy pizza.

If God had intended pineapple to be put on pizza, he would have put pineapple trees in New York, Chicago, and Italy.. but he didn't. God is ashamed of you.

Scarfing down a couple of slices of Domino's "Extravaganza" pizza right now. They did screw up and put the garlic stuff on the crust, after I ordered it left off. I was too hungry to send it back.

Our favorite has always been cassanos. We can't get delivery where we live, but there is a Ron's Pizza in town that does deliver, and it is close to Cassanos for taste.

Just want to say I have had pizza in over 100+ pizza joints and in several countries around the world. THE best pizza I have ever tasted is Giovanni's Pizza in Lorain, Ohio at 2936 Grove Ave. It right next to the old steel mill.

My family loves their pizza so much buying papa john's or marcos just feels blah. I even take drives of over 7 hours round trip to have pizza from there when I just need to have a REAL pizza. I miss their old building that was like a sweatshop though because they would let the girls work in bikinis in the summer and it was awesome dessert!!!

My younger brother never really got to have pizza there when he was young so when we spread my mother's ashes on lake erie we stopped at Giovanni's when my kids and they all went apes over how good it was. To me there is no good pizza places here in South Bend, IN because I grew up eating the best pizza in the world.

Darn I feel a road trip coming on now ^^

I grew up in Lorain, never had Giovanni's. We used to get Selenti's over on Oberlin Ave. I think it was, closer to the lake.

It's their "everything" pizza ... pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers, beef, ham, black olives, extra cheese .... good stuff.

My absolute favorite pizza is Marions. It's a local pizza in the Dayton Ohio area. If you're ever around Dayton, I highly recommend it! Thin crust, light on the sauce with abundant toppings.

I've had Marions and it is pretty good. To me it's kind of like bar pizza in that it's loaded with toppings.

ANCHOVIES!

Nobody mentioned anchovies.

I often got anchovies with my pizza.

Here’s the key to enjoying anchovies on pizza (and don’t say “nobody likes anchovies”, why would every self-respecting pizza joint have them?)

Don’t have the pizza cooked with the anchovies already on. When you do this, the anchovy flavor permeates every single bite of the pizza.

And that's fine if you really, really like anchovies. (I mean really like anchovies)

Have the pizza cooked without anchovies and get the anchovies on the side, and add them to individual slices as you go (and want).

We have Giovanni's here in NH and it was pretty bad. But maybe it's just the location we got it from. I'll have to give them another try at a dif location.

You mentioning Giovanni's, made me think of Galardi's up around Sidney Oh. We used to cruise around and have a few beers and then go up to Galardi's . I think we did that like once a month. Haven't thought about that for 40 yrs.

It wasn't mandatory and there are plenty of jobs that make you sweat. They use the old world style brick ovens and there is just no real way to cool the place down. They just remodeled this year but I won't know what they changed till summer hits and I take a 7 hour trip to go get me some =)

The one by the steel mill is the only real Giovanni. They are just a small mom and pop place. It's a common italian name though so I am sure its been used in other places too.

The second best pizza I ever had went out of business but they had this awesome spicy clam white sauce that was very unique and I miss it. It was scotty's pizza in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

I'm a fan of that pizza ... had some while in New Orleans one time. It had the perfect ratio of sauce/toppings

It used to be excellent. I got one a few years ago and it was still excellent.

A friend of mine used to live in Westchester Square apartments, the ones that always flooded back in the 80s. lol We used to eat a lot of Cornersburg Pizza.

Its all good =) I just said more because I realized the way i said it might make some offended so was best just to clarify ahead of time ^^ Hell it was so hot even just going into the area to pick up the pizza that I was glad they didn't have to stay in uniform. I have had 3 heat strokes so I always feel sympathy with for those working in hot environments.

Favorite all-time pizza - Cut Square Pizza in San Diego.

Best chain pizza - Papa Johns, but only when I reheat it. Donatos when it is fresh.

Best local pizza - Flyers Pizza, everytime my parents visit I know what we are having, they have locations in Galloway, Grove City, West Jeff, and a few other places. Galloway is the only one we've had but it's awesome.

Favorite toppings - Extra cheese, pepperoni, crispy bacon, sausage, sometimes ham. Anything else I ain't eatin it.

Favorite dips - Sour cream, Sour cream, and more Sour cream.

You need to add a line to your signature:

"First down as we threaten again. We can put it away right now. Britt goes in motion. Higgins settles into the slot. Barnidge is tight to the left. Coleman is flanked out wide to the right. Gordon is at home on his couch, and he fires up a fatty. Duke is in the backfield as Cody takes the snap. Here we go."
