How about him giving up on the Bazemore layup? Since Bazemore bobbled it kyrie might have been able to block it.
Kyrie has modeled his game after Kobe. It's really obvious when you watch. Lazy and selfish

I guess I don't really understand what the difference is in the defense between last year and right now. I am really confused.....players are the same mostly. It's got to be coaching.
Blatt taught them how to play defense, they used the same sets all year even after he got fired

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Lue has to have some blame in this. LeBron is playing over 40 minutes every game and we are losing to inferior teams.
I hate to say it, but losing Delladova has made an impact on this teams fire. He would come in for 15-20 minutes and just wreck havoc on the opposing teams PG, which gave us some fire as well. We have no one that builds momentum for us like he did.
This team won't get past the 2nd round playing like this. Hell, we might not get out of the first.
Truly a disgrace. I don't even understand. Coaching, Coaching, Coaching. Leaders don't allow a superior team to perform this poorly. At least not as many times as we have the last few months.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Houston Rockets star guard James Harden said Sunday that wins should matter when it comes to the Most Valuable Player award.
On the season, Harden's Rockets have 54 victories, good for the third-best record in the tough Western Conference. The other major candidate for the MVP award, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, is leading a team with 46 victories, sixth in the West. San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard, another candidate, has 61 victories with his team as the No. 2 seed in the West.
"I think that's the most important thing. I thought winning is what this is about -- period," Harden said after recording his 21st triple-double of the season in the Rockets' win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. "I'm not going to get in-depth with all that, but I thought winning was the most important thing. If you set your team up in a position to have a chance, at the ultimate goal, that's the most important thing."
Harden addressed the topic a day after Rockets general manager Daryl Morey began a series of tweets that weighed in on the debate.

In that stretch, only two were ranked outside the top two: Steve Nash in 2005-06 and Michael Jordan in 1987-88. Overall, 45 of the 61 MVP winners finished the season first in the conference. Only 12 of the 61 MVP winners finished the season ranked first in triple-doubles.
Westbrook set an NBA single-season record for triple-doubles with his 42nd in Sunday's victory over the Denver Nuggets.

James Harden can only do so much for the MVP award James Harden led the Rockets to a 54th win with his 21st triple-double, but with that being only half of Russell Westbrook's 42, is MVP out of reach?
Westbrook sets record with 42nd triple-double Westbrook set the record in spectacular fashion, finishing with 50 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. His 40-footer at the buzzer sealed the Thunder's 106-105 victory over the Nuggets. Harden's 35 points key 21st triple-double James Harden had 35 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds for his 21st triple-double of the season to lead the Houston Rockets to a 135-128 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. "It's a huge accomplishment," Harden said of Westbrook, whom he's close friends with. "He's been playing extremely well all season long, it's never been done before, it's a great individual accomplishment, and it's great."
Harden is also setting himself up for a special accomplishment. Coming into Sunday's games, Harden was scoring or assisting on 56.3 points per game. The NBA record for the highest combined single-season average of points and points off assists is 56.8 set by Tiny Archibald in 1972-73.
"It's just another great individual stat," Harden said. "But like I said, my job is to go out there and try to get my teammates involved, try to build their confidence so we're able to go out there and play and everybody is feeling good that's the most important thing. If none of my teammates are feeling good, I won't be anything, and we won't be far as to where we're trying to go.
"That's the most important thing. That's my job every night, and I think for the most part, guys are feeling good. We just got to continue to keep going."
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Obviously we're just trying to avoid getting swept in the first round by Chicago.....
I don't know enough about any of these teams to know who we might prefer or not, but it just seems to make sense to me. I fully expect us to lose this next game, then I think that we will win or lose the last one depending upon how we want to be seeded.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
LeBron whining about the officials was so uncalled for.. bro you blew a 26 point lead.. there is no way on God's green planet that the officials should have had any bearing in the final minute of that game.

26 point lead blown, ref sucking or not... there was a 26 point lead blown.
Did anyone mention we were up 26 points, and blew it? If not, there was a point where we had 26 points on them and was looking good. Then poof. I'm really concerned about out Cavs. We can look solid and before you blink an eye, breakdowns and leads gone and we can't seem to fight out of a hole which really, really sucks because we seem to dig ourselves into one a lot.
MIAMI -- Kyrie Irving should not have been called for charging late in overtime and of course the two Hawks who tied him up for a jump ball at the end of regulation Sunday were out of bounds, according to an officiating review of Cleveland's 126-125 loss released Monday by the NBA.
The review was conducted for the final two minutes of regulation and overtime of the game, in which the Cavs became the third team in NBA history to blow a lead of at least 26 points in the fourth quarter and lose. The Cavs were furious after the loss at referees, and they had cause, according to this report.
"I heard about it," coach Tyronn Lue said. "I don't read that stuff, though. It's too late now. It's over. Can they give us the game back?"
The officials missed:
Kent Bazemore should have been called for a foul on Irving with 31.8 seconds left in regulation for hitting Irving's arm on a missed jump shot. Cleveland was ahead 109-104 at that time. Bazemore and Paul Millsap were standing out of bounds with 5.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter when they tied up Irving for a jump ball. Everyone saw that one but the officials. The Cavs were ahead 111-109. Millsap should have been called for a block, and Irving a charge, with 12.3 seconds left in overtime. Cleveland trailed 123-120 at that point. LeBron James was upset over several calls, but the the report upheld at least two of the whistles against him. James said official Leroy Richardson was quick to call him for a five-second violation trying to inbound the ball with 18.7 seconds left in regulation, and that he did not commit what was his sixth foul on Millsap with 1:52 to go in overtime. Both calls were deemed correct.
Also, Lue should have been called for a technical foul for crossing halfcourt to signal timeout with 25 seconds remaining in overtime.

I am taking all bets on the Cavs in the first round, not matter who they play.
As a matter of fact, I will take them in any round of the EC playoffs . They are toying with these teams. Watch them turn it on 0nce the playoffs begin

How in the world is that a foul??
Yeah, I don't get that one either.
Hopefully that officiating crew is suspended for the playoffs/finals. They were horrendous.

It's not a foul, it's not even close to a foul.. doesn't change the fact that it NEVER should have come to the point where that mattered. If you put yourself in a position where the refs can decide the game, don't be surprised when they do.

Yeah, except that their bad calls probably created a 6-8 point swing in the game. They fouled out our best player on a very questionable call, at best. Would I have liked to have seen the Cavaliers win by 30? Sure. However, that doesn't always happen. Games have ebbs and flows, and when you give even bad teams numerous additional opportunities, the can take advantage of them.

Another OT loss. Pretty sure I'm done watching Cavalier regular season basketball. Think tomorrow's game is the last regular season game anyway. Horrible.
I had to record the OT of the Hawks game and watch later. Didn't finish the whole thing cause I knew the outcome. One thing that stood out was Austin Carr made the comment about everyone watching Kyrie play one on one for the whole fourth quarter.
Not wise.
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

They outscored us 44-18 in the 4th quarter. We can all just agree to disagree but I can't hang something like that on the refs.. 4 points? 8 points? Maybe... Offensively, defensively, mentally, we just collapsed...

That's because they know Kyrie isn't going to pass the ball.
Who would have thought after beating Boston the Cavs would drop their next three.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Sources: Cavaliers to waive Larry Sanders, sign center Edy Tavares
Shams Charania,Yahoo Sports 9 hours ago
The Cleveland Cavaliers are planning to waive Larry Sanders and sign center Edy Tavares from the NBA Development League, league sources told The Vertical.
Sanders had no issues in his stay with the Cavaliers and the sides mutually worked out his release as the team had no plans to place him in the playing rotation, league sources told The Vertical. Sanders completed his NBA return on March 11, when he signed a two-year deal with the Cavaliers.
Sanders recorded four points, four rebounds and one block in 13 minutes of action over four games with the Cavaliers. In four games for the Cavaliers’ D-League affiliate in Canton, Sanders averaged four points, eight rebounds and 2.5 blocks.
Tavares, a 7-foot-3 center, plans to sign a three-year contract with the Cavaliers on Wednesday, league sources said. Tavares has been a critical part of the Raptors’ 905’s championship contender in the D-League, averaging 10.9 points and 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks for the season.
After opening a roster spot by waiving DeAndre Liggins, the Cavaliers scanned their available options before finalizing terms with Tavares on Tuesday. Cleveland has been without Tristan Thompson for the past four games due to a right thumb injury and plans to rest LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Wednesday’s finale against the Toronto Raptors.
The Cavaliers are 51-30 and could lose the top seed in the Eastern Conference to the Boston Celtics.
Tavares was the No. 43 overall pick to the Atlanta Hawks in the 2014 NBA draft. He played 12 NBA games from 2015-16 and was released by the Hawks on Oct. 31.
Interesting though that we signed this new D-League guy to a three year contract though. Are we not permitted to sign the guy to a one-year rookie minimum if he's not on our own D-League team?
The larger half of playing defense is wanting to. We love the dazzle dazzle showboat passing like Globetrotter flash, and we will stupidly throw threes at the rim as leads fly away. We miss a bunch, don't follow shots often, and often give up easy scores inside.
WE are lazy and loafing and champions right now. But this indifferent losing is upsetting. Can't say that I see much addressed or corrected. Lue has to light some fires and put the brakes on some of the stupid on the court.
