Lol, his tweets are coming back to bite him in the ass. Especially that first one.

In May of 2016, a WH advisor made the claim that Obama had "ended two wars"... in 2016, we dropped over 24,200 bombs on 7 different Muslim nations... It really doesn't surprise me at all that Trump drops 59 in response to a chemical weapons attack on civilians and it gets 1000x more scrutiny than anything Obama ever did.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Obama went ahead with Bush's plan and ended the war in Iraq.

We are also now turning Afghanistan into another Kuwait, as soldiers will soon - if not already- able to volunteer to go to Afghan as a permanent duty station for a year.

So yea, technically that's ending two wars. The war against Isis is not the same as OEF AND OIF. It's completely different.

I would know, I went to both of them.

Also, yea trump is getting scrutiny. Look what your boy said, straight from his own mouth. He did a complete 180', and yet you're acting like people are out of line for holding him to his own words?

Poor trump. He has to face scrutiny like every other president in history. People are so mean to him!!!

Technically? Technically we dropped over 12,000 bombs on Iraq last year and over 12,000 on Syria... We are at war with the same people we have been fighting for 10 years since the governments in Iraq and Afghanistan fell, which was a LONG time ago... He didn't "end" anything... he should have a "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner made.

Nobody on the left ever seemed to want to hold Obama accountable for the lies he told or the promises he broke or the positions he switched, now suddenly it's important.. sorry if it's hard to take that seriously. I would love to hold Trump accountable... let's just do it under the premise that he probably knows 1000x more about what's been going on in Syria now that he has been in office for a few months than he did back in August 2016 when he was making those tweets.

We went to war in Iraq against saddam.

We went to war in Afghanistan because of osama bin laden.

Both guys got taken out. In Iraq we were fighting the rest of al queda. In Afghanistan we are fighting the taliban.

No, we are not fighting the same people in Iraq. Al queda is not ISIS. Those are two different factions.

Imma need you to understand that before this conversation can even continue.

As far as "nobody on the left" comment, honestly imma need you told stop making stuff up.

He wanted to go into Syria. A lot of people, including those on the left, didn't want to go to war over sryria.

So much so that congress would not authorized obama to take out Assad. Which would've been smart to do as when obama wanted to strike Assad, Russia didn't have the presence in the country that they do now.

Also, 1000x more? Assad has been killing his people for years now. Anybody with a laptop could see that.

So it wasn't cool when obama want to strike, but now with trump it's all good?

Please.

Except Bush's plan didn't include yanking nearly all of our forces out without a Status of Forces Agreement. Obama's massive pull out largely contributed to the following chaos.

Look, some degree of latitude has to be given to Candidate vs. Candidate who becomes President as once they are in the WH they have so much more info to consider.

Candidate Obama pledged to close Guantanamo... that didn't happen.
Candidate Obama pledged the most transparent admin in history... he ended up going down as one of the least.

No biggie

i highly doubt that. iraq was already going through their crap while we was pulling out.

hell, the civil war started in 2006. it "ended" in 2008....lol. There were mass amount of factions popping up before Bush even left office.

please don't contribute to revisionist history.

also, that wasn't a slight on Bush. I'm glad he wanted to put an end to that dumbass war, so i dunno why you feel the need to defend him and blast obama, As my response was about Trump somehow magically getting more scrutiny than Obama did when it comes to the middle east, which is false.

sorry but this argument about "more info" that you and DC are pushing is a real crap excuse, to be polite about it.

Assad has been killing his people for years. we all know that. remember, the reports is that trump was "moved" by the pictures of the dead syrians.

as if somehow there weren't any present prior to him being in office? right....ok.

Ivanka Trump may have influenced her father President Donald Trump‘s decision to launch a cruise missile strike on Syrian government forces in response to the gas attack that shocked the world, her brother Eric Trump has revealed.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, the president’s son said he believes Ivanka spoke out as the president formulated his response to President Bashar al-Assad’s suspected use of a chemical weapons on its citizens last week.

“Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m sure she said ‘listen, this is horrible stuff.’ My father will act in times like that,” Eric Trump told the British newspaper.

http://people.com/politics/ivanka-trump-influenced-decision-bomb-syria-eric-trump-says/

So Trump's son says that it's pretty much Ivanka who was the deciding factor in striking Syria.

Great. That's all it takes, huh.

Well the strikes on Syria have been very effective in getting out the message, no chemical weapons!

It has placed Trump in a position of strength going into negotiations with Putin.

I would say if it was on her advice, she is then one of his best advisers!

Yea...no.

His strike did nothing. The base is operational, and he ended up killing kids.

If you call that a win then all it confirms is that you aren't pro life.

Not really. I initially supported the strike.

But when the smoke clears, I have the ability to call it for what it was.

You however don't have that ability to think rationally. You just follow blindly. Try not to follow him off a bridge, although I'm sure you'll have an excuse for that, too.

You are like a blind man calling it as he sees it.

Truth is, it worked exactly as he wanted it too. Not too much, not too little. No Russians killed.

Message sent, Mission Accomplished!

Putin in a position of weakness having to answer the questions...

Why does Assad still have Chemical Weapons when you told the world they had been removed?
Did you lie on purpose or were you just inept?

Do you still support Assad the butcher?

No, its not that you can't read good, its that you scan the post without reading it.

That is why you only saw "Do you still support the butcher Assad" and took it personally. I was talking about Putin having to answer that question but you scanned and thought it was for you.

Stick around while I teach Pit to have a clue and I will help you to slow down, read and comprehend.

Then we can all work together to get your liberal street protesters to stop wearing diapers on their faces.

I believe that it was pretty obvious you pointed out that these would be questions facing Putin and not directed toward a poster having to face them.

He consistently denies, denies, denies, and China typically has his back.

Your correct ... that makes Putin easier to deal with in the sense that you know what the response is going to be ....

Look .. this was going to come to a head at some point ... regardless of who the president was ... there's 2 fronts ...

- Russia, Syria and Iran ... this one is playing out in Syria ...

- China, NK ... this ones playing out in NK ...

OBUMa decided to leave these problems for the next president and he let all the parties involved do anything they want ... and this isn't being done to compare admin's .. its being said because there the facts that have helped lead us to where were at today ....

- he did NOTHING when China built up the South China Sea islands ...
- he did nothing about fatso breaking the un resolutions on an almost daily basis ...
- he did nothing when Russia ONE DAY after Putin assured him face to face they would not move into Syria .. the NEXT DAY Putin started moving troops and planes into Syria ... WE DID NOTHING ...
- he BANK ROLLED IRAN .... no one wants to talk about that ... u have any clue how much that helped Iran, Syria and Russia ... that money is FLOWING through all three of those countries in various ways ....

So now ... here we are ... our options were to do nothing once again or to do something ...

So guys like U and Swish that disagree with Donnie ... can u guys please tell me how u think it should have been handled? ...

Do we do nothing again ... or do we try diplomatic sanctions ... *LOL* ... they've been so affective in the past ... rolleyes .... or do we take some other type of military action ...

What would u guys have done .... you want to rip Donnie w/o providing your solution ... what is it ..

Keep in mind ... this is/was going to come to a head at some point .. this has been brewing for about 3 or 4 years now ... and at some point we were going to be forced to take our heads out of the sand and deal with it ... no matter who the president is ...

Where did I say I disagreed with "Donnie" on Syria. I disagree with him other times, but I don't know what you're referencing about Syria.

I just try to say things as I see them. It matters not to me whether a poster in conservative or liberal. Usually you call me a fence rider for these type of things. Unless of course when it suits you as we see in this example.

He doesn't have to say anything to me.

He thought it was obvious. I didn't.

Besides, your questions are useless. Putin supports Assad. He will continue supporting Assad. Reports say the Russians knew about the chemical attack.

And putin is still boys with him. Combined with the fact that Trump just said the US won't be going into Syria( if that isn't another one of his lies), then why would Putin end his support of Assad?

The strike was a joke. Got the international community clowning us over the kids we just killed after Trumps speech about children of god.

And the base is operational.

So if the base is operational, we killed some kids, Putin and Assad clearly aren't stopping their shenanigans......that what did this strike accomplish?

Nothing.

I'm sure if we were higher than #3 in the world in per pupil spending, public education would be soooo much better.

Maybe if your kind, which largely controls education, cared as much about what they learn as they do about how they "feel".. education would improve.

Speaking of Bombing Syria, the United States just dropped a MOAB on Afghanistan! Largest non nuclear bomb known to man!
First time it has been used in combat. They said the target was ISIS tunnels and personnel in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province.

MOAB = Mother of All Bombs or Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb
MOAB is a 21,600-pound, GPS-guided munition

Official ISIS Command comment from the scene- .........dzzt......dzzt.....................dzzt.........

Did you support the 12,000 bombs Obama dropped on Syria in 2016? Do you even know if any of them did any good? Do you know if/how many civilians or children were killed?

The answer to both of those questions is.. no, you don't really know because nobody reported on any of it... yet you support Obama and you have not been clamoring to find out this information to figure out if, after the smoke clears, you need to call it for what it was.. sounds like you followed him blindly to me, just like the media did.

in fairness though,he dropped 12,000 bombs in Syria in fighting ISIS, not attacking the Syrian government itself. But that number is interesting when people are referring to Obama as a [censored] while extolling the manliness of Trump launching 59 cruise missiles

Wasnt it pretty huge news internationally when we launched an attack on Syrian government targets? So I would assume that we have not done this before, especially because in 2013 Obama asked congress for approval to go after Assad. As far as the effectiveness or casualties, I dont have an answer for that. Hopefully n0ne, but I doubt that

This may needed to be done, who knows.

I however am NOT ok with things like this being done without Congressional Approval....yes the President should be able to take action without Congressional approval to protect us in case of war, invasion, defense, etc....but not this....

this right here should not have been done without Congressional Approval, and I am NOT ok with one guy being able to attack another country and maybe even draw us into a war all because "he/she feels like it" Decisions like this should not rest in the hands of a single person.

I don't like it at all....Representative Republics don't operate on the premise that one person(the President) can start hostility or even attack other countries solely on his own merits and judgement....this is the kinda stuff dictators do, I said the same about Obama and Bush Jr....

Just go to Congress, even if i disagree, at least the process was discussed first, even if its behind closed doors.
