london game is on fox

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Move from UK - Browns play in UK

What a gyp......

Anyways, for those planning on the trip, just remember that Browns fans are everywhere and there is most definitely a crew in London. Browns Backers there are called British Bull Dawgs i believe. English Dawg populates these boards from time to time - probably a mamber. Maybe an opportunity to reach out and show them limeys what tailgating is all about and maybe those folks could give you tips on accommodation, eats, sights etc.

As for the schedule; with a good draft we'll clearly win like 3 games which is something like a 300% improvement. Progress!

I was thinking about coming down for that game since it is the only west coast game. If there's a local backers club getting seats, could you pass along the info?

I don't mind playing the Steelers first. Might catch them napping. Not likely of course but it is in the realm of possibility. At least they won't be in midseason form. Ending there is another matter. Why the NFL loves making us end the season against the Squealers is beyond me.... Tough schedule but it always is for a team as bad as the Browns. Just have to hope some of the young guys we get next week can give us a boost and a basis for a future...

Cincinnati can't sell out their stadium to save their lives. They really stopped trying after the media blackout rule got lifted. Usually you can hear your fair share of Cleveland fans at the games. Last year, not so much. Years past, absolutely. Bengals fans just don't show up.

as i stated earlier, i just can't believe how many scheduling breaks the steelers annually get. back loaded home games, easy teams at the end, no tough travel stretches, good bye week, etc

I think the NFL has several teams playing each other
The 1st and last game of the season
Cincy and Baltimore mirror the Browns Steelers
It's the opening game but a win over the Steelers could reap benefits that leads to a AFC North title

That may be true, but your comment still doesn't make sense to me given this schedule.

NFL loves them. I hate having all our games clustered for our division up front. They all count, but some more than others. Shock a few folks early, great. Or be out of it by November. These guys seem to be catered to by the league IMO.

I might go to that game as well. Could be a home game, considering there's probably more Browns fans in LA than Chargers fans.

I mean, 4 straight prime time games for Pittsburgh? has that ever happened?

How about 6 of their last 8 at home?

I'd also drive up from SD for that game. I'm not sure, my wife and I are expecting our first child in late October, so I dunno if I/we will be up for a day in LA.

cfrs and Excel,
What're the games like up in LA? How much will I get hassled wearing a Browns jersey? In San Diego, there were as many Browns jerseys as there were Chargers, so it was super mellow.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I've lived in LA my whole life and have never been to an NFL game in the city. My brother went to a Rams game week 17 last year (he's a Cardinals fan) and had no problems. As you know the Chargers have never played here, so I don't know what the atmosphere will be like. It is still Southern California though, so my guess is it will be pretty relaxed.

The stadium in Carson (StubHub Center) will be interesting as it only holds 27,000 people. The next smallest NFL stadium holds 56,000. I think it will be packed, but it is the only Browns game on the west coast so I would expect a pretty good Browns fan turnout.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Neither am I. If they want a team there then put one there. Stealing a home game from a city every year is BS. However, it's good timing. We aren't in the hunt for anything this year anyway. Get it out of the way now, so that if an when we ARE a good team looking to make the playoffs, a London trip doesn't mess with that.....

I was there.

Those days are over for me. No more getting to the lot at 6am. I don't even do Lot's all that much anymore....maybe a couple of times a year and join Columbus and Saint and crew, or some folks from another board who mostly meet up in the flats.

I am more in to bars these days. I like the Barley House. Lot's going on....radio station broadcasts from there, the drum line shows up around 10 to do their thing. It's both indoors and outdoors, so you can pick and choose what you want. I hang a hour or so, then head to my club seats. I like to get a seat by the window which overlooks the lake, eat some food, watch the updates on TV and make any last minute changes to my fantasy line-ups once I see who is playing and who is scratced before heading to my seats to watch the game.

I don't know man....I admit I am somewhat biased sine it is impossible for me to make all home games. Well, it isn't impossible, I'm just not going to do it since I live 600 miles away. I kind of liked having the cost of 1 game deducted from the season ticket invoice. That is like me being able to sell those tickets for face value. I usually go to 6 games, so now all I have to worry about is selling one game, which I did today to a friend here in town. He's going to the Cincy game. I will go to all the others. Two with my wife Pat, and probably 3 with our youngest son. So that leaves only 1, maybe 2 games I don't have a seatmate at this point.

I'll offer up a game or two at some point.

Seeing that schedule I feel the very real possibility they may be worse this year than last year, even if the record improves by 1.

first glance, (wow a harsh set before the bye) , I see Jax, and Green Bay for some reason as the only 2 winnable home games,

or competitive, and At Houston as the only winnable away game.

Throw in a ? for that London game , maybe a win there.

And there's always the home Cincy game, maybe a win there,

So maybe 5-11 as the ceiling. realistically .

No Happy! To be a fan of a team that can't compete!

What's going to happen if this team goes 0-7 to start, and Hue sounds as clueless in postgame interviews as last year, and Sashi, ?, and ?, are still ?

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Yeah indeed it is, any win with this team is going to be a tall order lol - but most of the teams I feel like we can/should be able to run the ball on and their offenses aren't too much a threat either.

Its early enough for some optimism - especially if we have a strong draft - so I'm picking 6-10 with wins vs Cinci, Jets, Chargers, Jags, Ravens, and Bears.

I don't really care about wins again this year I just want to see some of these draft picks showing improvement game to game. I want to see Coleman take off and show he was worth a 1st round pick and I want to see Ogbah and our rookie get some good consistent pressure on QB's. I want to see that we are on the right track building a team. If we show that then I am all for staying the course and showing the patience to build it right. I like Coach Jackson. I'm on the fence about the Harvard guys. I want to believe they are doing this the right way and setting up a solid FO for years to come. I'd feel a lot better if I see some of the kids showing improvement....
