The climate has changed ever since science can/could detect change.

Here is the fact: The climate is changing, just as it always has. Period.

There's literally released reports from BP and Exxon in the 60's and 70's about man made climate change due to CO2.

Here is the fact: Climate change is obviously real. Man made global warming is also real. The rate of change in the past 50 years is unlike anything the world has ever seen outside of mass extinctions.

Don't forget all the teachers who were telling kids about the impending ice age.

The High and low in Cleveland during January is 32.6 for a High and 18.8 for a low. The average highs and lows in July are 81.4 and 62.3. So for the life of me if SOME folks think the average temp goes up by 2 whole degrees in the next 500 years and our averages is Jan go to 34.6 and 20.8 and in July they go to 83.4 and 64.3 then somehow this is going to happen to us all

For the very first Earth Day, I was into it and walked to school that day, did not take the bus, walked 5 miles, all to help my Planet and to do my part to help prevent Global Cooling from killing us all.

Not long after, I started to become a Conservative, thinking with my head instead of my heart, questioning "science" instead of just accepting it.

It's funny hearing people questioning science while simultaneously taking religion as fact.

Imagine becoming a Conservative because you can't walk 5 miles.

Why? Both are now a matter of Faith.

Fun fact: You can also turn gravity on and off just via faith.

Au contraire. During my lifetime we have turned on the Brontosaurus. Turned it off when scientists realized we had the wrong head on it at the Smithsonian, turned it off completely in 2012 for it never existed and in 2015 discovered it actually did exist after all.

I just wanted to aid 40 in his questioning of science. I think Jaden Smith and 40 could learn a lot about science from each other. They can be The Mythbusters for the millennial.

Your faith in science is misplaced as science is fluid. Things once held as proven are often disproved with more science. The unknown is suddenly known until it is disproved.

For you to claim science is Correct while also claiming the questioning of it is wrong, well that is just unscientific.

I have so many questions for you on this one that I don't even know where to start.

1. Isn't Jesus Christ and God fluid? Isn't that why we have hundreds of denominations based on just the word of those two people. If you want to get into it, we have 3 religions all spinning back to one God. Isn't the idea of having a personal connection with God fluid in its nature?

2. If science is fluid, and self-corrects, shouldn't you then have more faith in the process of science? Admitting your wrong is something entirely rare in most things people have faith in; economy, politics and religion. Should science not re-align when they are wrong?

3. As your boy said, "There are known unknowns and unknown unknowns." its part of getting to an answer.

4. Where did I say the questioning of science is wrong? In fact, I think it's the best thing for science. I think it's the best thing for everything. I would never want someone to stop thinking. I'm not a Republican.

5. What I am against is putting out misinformation. For example, when you said, "We went from all is well with the world, turned it off for Global Cooling, and today we have Global Warming.

Your idea that global cooling was once en vogue, is classic misinformation and disinformation. Your examples of the mainstream media coverage of 'global cooling' is horrifyingly thought out, considering 1) You say not to trust the MSM. 2) Science is not the mainstream media and was against the mainstream media here. Do you plan on ever being straightforward?

6. Are you really mad that scientists don't know what a Dinosaur looks like yet? You know they're not time travelers, right? There's nothing to hijack? This thread is about climate change. Science has said that climate change is real and the world is getting warmer. You said this wasn't the case. Was disproved. Posted your original results and keep claiming that science is "fluid". Then you brought up dinosaurs (although I guess that's not thread hijacking). Your entire attempts at discrediting climate change is one gigantic hijack. Do you not want to answer up for it?
