The draft is always unpredictable, and this year will likely be no different. I was wondering what ya'll thought would be some of things you think will happen this Thu-Sun (I'm not asking for mocks)?

My thoughts:
a) If Jamal Adams doesn't go 1-4, the Browns trade #12, #52 and later round pick(s) to Tennessee for #5. Tenn is looking to pick up a second rounder, and at least 1 of the top 3 WRs will be available at #12, maybe OJ Howard too.
b) For some reason I think Nathan Peterman will be the QB we end up with.
c) Despite being a mediocre QB class, I think we'll see 6 QBs taken in the first 50 picks
d) Off field stuff won't make a dramatic impact to the draft spots of guys like Foster, Cook, Mixon, and Peppers - they'll all go mid-first to early second.
e) Biggest surprise picks in the first round: Houston picking Davis Webb, Oakland picking Jarrad Davis

- Myles Garrett goes #1
- Mitchell Trubisky goes before pick #8
- Deshone Kizer goes higher than anticipated (top 25)
- Deshaun Watson goes higher than anticipated (top 15)
- Joe Mixon will be a 1st round pick
- Dalvin Cook will be a top 15 pick
- #12 will be the most controversial and discussed pick on this board

- We do not select a QB until the 4th round, if at all.

The real draft for the Bears and Bucs will mostly fall in accordance with my mock selections...lol

no trades and no QBs go in the top 10

Browns go Garrett and corey davis with their first 2 picks.

Jonathon allen falls out of the top 10.

12 defensive backs go in the top 40

My biggest prediction is that we'll all breathe a sigh of relief once the draft - and the endless speculation - is over.
We could do a number of different things with 12, but we will take Garrett 1st overall, the 49ers or Jets will take Trubisky.

-I see Trubisky at 12 and Webb at 52. I think Hue liked Webb at the Senior Bowl and if Trubisky is gone, someone will be an option at 33 or 52.

-I think Friday morning we will be drooling over the possibilities at 33 and it will just be too tempting to not choose someone that was first round talent.

- I could see a move back into the first round if we get antsy, but I would rather wait the night out and see if we could trade out of 33 if there is more than one option.

- by my score card I think there are 50 solid picks available before the talent, so we should have 4 players to talk about. Rounds 2 and 3 have my interest, perhaps more than the first.

- I think the first 2 or 3 picks will be defensive. I see a safety at 33.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

A week from now it will be over. Being in no position to influence anything, I don't care much until it gets here.

- no QB taken in first 11 picks.

- Brown's involved in at least one trade.

- Brown's select 3 defensive players taken in the first 4 picks.

- Unlikely, but something is nudging me in th direction of believing a Jimmy Garopollo trade just might be coming.

I hope so, but I am not expecting that to happen anymore. My worry is we do something silly and overreach for a QB. But, whoever we take I will hope he is successful and proves my worries to be unfounded.

Didn't realize the " Pats " don't have a pick until the third round # 75 , Bill just might Get antsy .. Also heard last night that they just might have to pay JG. more than Brady just with a Franchise tag !!! Could get real sticky for the Pats ..

I still believe if a team offers enough on Thursday night, Bill would deal JG. Waiting until round 3 is tough, especially in a talented draft.

Let's say we offer 12 plus something else ... he might bite

I am so much more comfortable offering #12 and a 2nd next year for JG than offering #12, #33, two seconds next year and whatever else I have seen projected to move up for Trubisky.

How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

Well Cap , I like Trubisky but Drafting a kid with only 13 starts in COLLEGE in the first is not very smart . I believe History will prove that out ( do not need to be an Ivy League Grad to figure that out ).

Agreed. All things being equal, I'd want JG more than MT

Prediction: Steve Smith Sr. won't pull any punches during his portion of the Draft's coverage.

He was on Good Morning Football this morning along with Deshaun Watson and he was less than complimentary of the Browns. I couldn't get that mad, though, we do seem to chew up QBs.

Myles Garret is our guy at #1.

Somebody really good drops to us at #12 (my odds on favorite would be Malik Hooker)

Dobbs will be a QB that we take (I'm thinking at #65)

We will get 2 CBs at 33 and 52.

My Prediction: We will draft Trubisky #1 and trade #12 (1200) #52 (380) and #175 (21) (Total: 1601) to the Jets for #6 (1600) and pick the best defensive player on the board between Solomon Thomas, Malik Hooker and Jamal Adams ... JMHO

Browns shock us all and methodically stick to their board
drafting a very strong class.
ESPN drops dead and hell freezes over...

This is my hope, not sure I would predict it though.

I also predict: picks are leaked/hinted at before they occur on tv ... one of my pet peeves

Networks have said they won't.

The NFL totally didn't tell them not to...

Imo the Draft is a TV show.

It's drama.

I want to know who's getting picked when Goodell says it (after the boos have died down)

Many times in the past they've talked right through the Browns pick. Usually about an insignificant guy three picks earlier. I rarely watch past the second round...

For the official draft thread, will we be allowing twitter spoils? I know in years past, they're usually announced a few minutes earlier on twitter.

I think we draft Garrett at 1 (duh).

I think we draft one of CB Kevin King, Sidney Jones.

I think we draft a safety - so 3 of 4 first picks being DE, CB and S. My money is on Melifonwu.

We also draft at receiver.

Myles Garrett will be the #1 selection.

Pick #12 will be one of;
Hooker, Adams, O.J Howard, Trubisky or Mahomes.

Pick #33 will be a DB.
Obi Melifonwu, Marcus Sanders-Williams, Kevin King, Fabian Moreau or Chidobe Awuzie.

I predict (hope) for that moment..

That moment after pick #11 has been announced.

That moment that Cleveland is on the clock at #12.

That moment, as time passes, minutes seem like hours.

That moment that the crowd starts to buzz..

I hope for that moment, that the Browns logo flashes on the ticker..

I hope for that moment that it is replaced by New Englands.

I want that moment.

There is a Marcus Williams and a Marcus Sanders-Williams from Utah. Pretty sure you mean the one without the Sanders.

Just Williams is the 6'1", ~200 lb. Ball hawking safety.

Sanders-Williams is a 5'11", 235 lb. linebacker that I didn't know existed.

I was confused there for a bit and was trying to figure out why/if there'd been a name change.

Definitely not a mistake I'd want to see made on a Draft card. (Unless it was the Steelers)

odd...

CBS has Marcus Sanders-Williams, FS, Utah, Jr, 6-1, 202
NFL.com and Drafttek only have a Marcus Williams, FS, Utah, 6-1, 202
PFF only has a Marcus Williams, FS

Utah's website shows a Marcus Sanders-Williams without any stats past 2015.

That is how CBS and first pick have the FS listed, but I did denote "DB". I thought he had just added that recently, like many prospects seem to do today.
